Good ep, but I really couldn't believe they went there with Owen and Cristina again! I had just accepted them being over. Loved all of the music, though!
Does this mean Owen finally realized that he wants a woman like Cristina? not like Emma? After all his whining about Cristina not wanting kids?
And now Burke is coming back? WHAT. THE.HELL do they have prepared for Cristina? i'm getting worried. Somehow April is FINALLY growing on me. I hate Leah for filing that complaint, she only did it out of anger…. i mean She's the one who started flirting with Arizona, not the other way around. And she only slept with Alex a couple of times. i think she's overreacting...
Loved the episode. The show is really stepping it up this half. The one thing I wish they would do is pull at our heart strings more with the patient story lines. I can't remember the last time a patient dying made me cry. Sure it's sad but I expect to cry. The moment when the residents find out the patient died was way too dramatic. I mean, did any of them even meet the patient? I was a bit much but glad to see the residents making efforts to stick together. They're really becoming more likable. After I said us poor Crowen fans last week they give us a hook up scene! I was very excited but should we be? Cristina is gone at the end of the season. I think If the writers are going to get our hopes up with Crowen again, Owen should leave with Cristina. I really wouldn't miss him. His story has really been dependent on Yang for a while now anyway. Crowen was the second couple I shipped on Grey's (Izzex was the first) and is still my favorite couple along with Japril. They will never be over. Japril was perfect as usual. Love them. I am finding Derek and Meredith's individual and couple storylines to be extremely boring. I hope it picks up. Where the hell are Zola and Bailey?
Owen wanted to stay with Yang. She broke up with him b/c she thought she couldn't be the woman he needed. Owen always knew she was the one for him. They both know they're the love of each others lives but they just can't get past the differences of what they desire out of life. If they don't ride off into the sunset at the end of this season, I really hope they find their way back to in other in the shows final season like Sam and Naomi did in Private Practice
I loved every part of it except Owen cheating on Emma. I got really mad when he kissed Cristina and then not having the balls to tell Emma that he cheated made me furious.
That did seem like an excuse. I felt that he just didn't have the balls to tell Emma that he cheated an made an excuse to break up with her. Ugh, I found this infuriating.
I would agree if he planned on staying with Emma, but since he ended the relationship there wasn't a need to tell her. Why hurt her even more by telling her what happened between him and Cristina.
Of course not. What i think is Burke talks to her about a position at another hospital and that's why she leaves...hence,her and Burke walking off into the sunset.
Maybe they will leave together, could be Shonda's plan if Owen plans on leaving, but they both still want different things in life. I think that would be as just as bad as if Yang goes with Burke. And yes, she would indeed be walking into the sunset because of an opportunity, not because of Burke....But they loved each other once..stranger things have happened.
I know you think Owen and Yang had the love of their lives but i don't see it.They hurt each other, they weren't good for each other, they had/have fundamental difference that couldn't be overlooked. I think if Yang had wanted kids,or Owen didn't want kids they would of had a great love,a great marriage. Its too bad they want different things...
But what they went through in their marriage happens in marriages everyday. I think it's one of those things where they found each other too soon. Maybe it would have worked better if they found each other later in life which is why I'm all for them being apart now but still being end game in the shows last season. By that time Yang will have made a global mark on the world as a cardiothoracic surgeon and maybe see that there's more to life than surgery. Her career is the ultimate thing driving her decision to not be a mom so maybe she'll go be great and realize that she can do both. That's my hope anyway.
i agree, but i don't want a Noami/Sam-at-the-last-moment-reunion again.
When Cristina Leaves it has to be with Owen or alone.
And now i'm thinking that Burke coming back is one of the reasons Cristina will leave the Hospital; maybe he offers her a better paid job..idk… but it will be DUMB if she ends up with him. That would make the Crisitna/Owen storyline a complete WASTE of time.
Exactly! It would make Yang look so weak. What she sat around for 7 years secretly hoping Burke would one day return for her? It would make no sense and really piss off a lot of us Crowen fans. And what a slap in the face it would be for Owen. Just wouldn't be true to who Yang has become over the course of the show. I hope Burke would just be coming for the award ceremony. I want her to leave for an opportunity greater than anything he could ever offer her. Yang does something big and now you can recognize her but you couldn't recognize her for helping you be great when you needed it the most? It would seem like he would only be interested in recognizing her now b/c of her brand and she deserves better than that.
Things I Liked: - Meredith and Cristina's returned friendship. It's finally back to good writing for these two, with Meredith knowing so quickly that Cristina slept with Owen, and Cristina also serving as Mere's sounding board with Meredith's research, as well as marriage problems with Derek. - Meredith and Derek's relationship troubles and solid marriage. I like that the show can keep these two in a happy, solid relationship, while still giving them things to fight about and angst. I like not feeling worried about them breaking up again. - April and Jackson's scenes in this episode were all great. I like how they obviously love each other, while still being so amusing. In fact, some of their scenes were among the episode's lighter moments and highlights for me. And I also really like that they're married, and that the rest of the board, and their friends, seem happy for them. I feel like Cristina really summed my feelings nicely, when she said, "Kepner, you continue to surprise me", in that amused, stunned, and happy-for-April tone. April's really grown a lot as a character, and is now one of my faves, which is a testament to the writing and acting, I think. - Alex and Jo's continued strong relationship. It's really great to see Alex with someone he loves, that loves him back, and who's not a complete nutcase. ;) It shows how much Alex has matured, that he'd stand up for his relationship to Jo, come what may. In the past, Alex might've barked at Jo, in frustration.
Things I DISLiked: - The Interns/now-residents! They all suck...bad. Okay, except Ben, and maybe Jo. I was so annoyed with Leah, Stephanie, and Shane for blaming all of their distractions, from their medical education, on the attendings they had relationships with. You are adults. And for the most part, you all chose, and in some cases, pursued these relationships. Just because those attendings chose someone else, doesn't make you guys the victims, nor makes it alright for you to seek revenge through the admin system. As for Jo, I did not like that she blabbed, about Jackson and April, to the other residents. It only served to hurt Stephanie, and possibly Jackson and April in the process. I hate it when this show kills off main characters, instead of letting them continue their lives elsewhere. However, I would be totally okay with this show killing off Leah, Stephanie, and Shane. - Owen's behavior was reprehensible this episode. Cheating on his almost-moving-in-together girlfriend is bad enough, but then, when breaking up with her, he makes her feel like it's her!?! What a jerk! Okay, so he cheated on her with his ex-wife, whom he clearly still has feelings for. Just admit to that! Don't be blaming Emma for your bad behavior! I don't think I even want Owen with Cristina at this point. - How can all of those surgeons be so clueless about Li Fraumeni? If anybody who reads this works, or knows someone in the medical profession, I'm sure you'll agree. The medical advisor for this show really goofed on that one, in my opinion.
Please explain. No wonder only a handful comment on these Greys Anatomy polls. It took me a long time to write my previous post. I didn't use foul language, or put down an actor's appearance, or anything that could be considered out of line, in my opinion. If my comment was deleted because of an infraction, at least notify me, and I could've edited out the part that was not in compliance. You didn't need to delete it. Makes it seem like whoever's moderating will delete anyone's comment they don't agree with.
That was annoying. I don't understand, Owen has left Cristina because HE wanted a family and HE was willing to give up surgery to raise their baby. I really disliked him for doing that, poor Emma by the way. And even if he wanted an excuse to break up I think that this excuse was too far, he could've said anything else to her. But I liked the interns working together, Jo and Alex's staged fight. Meredith and Cristina back again was also fun.
WTH Hapeened with Owen¿? wasnt he the one that wanted kids, a house and a family¿? now he told kind of the same speech Christina gave to him that time to Emma the woman that actually wants all that¿? that was just low, Owen. Now that Derek has that huge thing will he have to move to someplace to do it¿? It was a great episode one thing i find really annoying was Shane blaming what happen to him on Christina, she wanted to help him cause he is a good Dr. and he said that¿? what a douche.
I thought this episode was pretty boring. They should have milked the whole Jackson/April secret marriage thing. But Richard walking in on them was hilarious. I would have liked for Richard to get killed off, but thinking about that scene and April's bridal shower, made me rethink that. xD
One of my favorite episodes of this season. I like April and Jackson more and more. Alex and Jo is a great couple too. I hope Christina ends with Owen, before she go off the show.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Good ep, but I really couldn't believe they went there with Owen and Cristina again! I had just accepted them being over. Loved all of the music, though!
ReplyDeleteIt was both Stephane and Leah. That's what it sounded like at the end when they were standing outside the office.
ReplyDeleteNo, Stephanie told leah she had more balls than her for filing
ReplyDeleteOh, I bet Stephanie was right by her side lol but I know Stephanie will get over it Leah will become a stalker, lol

Great episode, (please get rid of Shane, NOW)

ReplyDeleteIt might be that Yang rides off into the sunset with Burke...
ReplyDeleteShonda would be dumb as hell to let that happen and it would also be a discredit to the development and growth of Cristina Yang
ReplyDeleteI loved every part of it except Owen cheating on Emma. I got really mad when he kissed Cristina and then not having the balls to tell Emma that he cheated made me furious.
