    Theirs only 1 book so far (2nd book comes out in September).

    It was OK but I felt it followed too many points of view, (like Game of Thrones each chapter is from a different characters PoV). While this only follows 4 different PoV's I felt the story was slow moving despite it taking place over a week. I did however like the parts on the Arc as their was only 1 PoV character there. So we didn't see the same event/overlapping event from 3 characters like we did on earth (and thus it felt like time actually passed).

    To me personally, I think it was always intended to be a movie/TV show rather then a book (it even has the LOST style flashbacks). The book feels more like a cash in to build hype then anything.

    Everything was pretty slow moving till right near the end when (my memories kinda fuzzy but...) :
    - SPOILERS -
    The camp is set on fire and they discover they aren't alone on the Earth. Leading to a big 'OH SHIT' moment...but of course the book ends right there. None of the hundred (reduced to 90 something by that point), saw the attackers and with their camp and technology destroyed it leads into the sequel.
    - END SPOILERS -

    The 2nd book is meant to pick up 2 weeks later on the 21st day on Earth.
    Based on what I've read it sounds like the pilot covers a condensed version of the first book with the remaining episodes covering that 2 week period up to day 21.
