Job will always be my fav I think, but Burton has become a firm favourite this season too. His character has become a lot more fleshed out this year I think
From the episode synopsis, we know Burton goes after two traitors and gets one of them while the other eludes him. The one who escapes is certainly Juliette (assisted by Rebecca) but who is the other traitor - Sharp the Skinhead (beaten into coma by Emmet)? Does Hood take advantage of his coma and declares him as his CI? Most probably. Or is it someone else entirely.
And to reiterate again: What the hell is Rebeca playing at?
That's a good idea with Hood making Sharp his CI, to protect Juliette. And being in coma he will be easy target to Burton. And I'm really very curious what Rebecca is playing, too.
Yeah, I think it's all about power with her, she seemed to like sitting in her uncles chair behind his desk last week too didn't she? I don't think Kai knows what he's started with her tbh, she's a handful, lol
I may be way off base, but IMO, in the short time that she has been with her uncle, Rebecca has developed a craving for POWER. She sees daily, the kind of power Proctor has over almost all of Banshee and she wants to develop that kind of power (however nascent or small it maybe) for herself.
Saving Juliette's life gives Rebecca power over her. Not saying anything about Hood breaking into Proctor's house gives her some leverage over Hood. Take her sex scene with Jason - She controls it - she makes him go down on her while looking at him haughtily.
IMO, she is playing some sort of cunning game which will get Proctor released from prison. In this way, Proctor will - owe her, trust her more, delegate tasks to her etc.
@Sandi - do any of my above theories have weight or are they just wrong speculation?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Woah, Burton gets creepier and creepier!

ReplyDeleteBurton without glasses- oh yeah!! Rebecca with the save - dammit!!
ReplyDeleteWhat game is Rebecca playing? I can't understand. She was the one who gave up Juliette in the first place.
