  1. Hell YEAH she doesn't! Sara/Canary FTW.

  2. I don't understand all the Canary/Sara/Caity Lotz hate. BTW

The hate comes from the Olicity shippers. I don't ship anyone in Arrow and I think Sara is awesome. I wish people would appreciate the characters no matter who they ship.

  4. She's an awesome character.

  5. That outfit does wonders to Caity Lotz's assets. And no one will ever complain about that. Well, maybe Stephen Amell who probably wishes he had a suit that compliments his assets, lol.

  6. I don't ship Olicity and utterly dislike her character.

  7. Amell gets to share multiple scenes with her. I don't think he's complaining too much.

  8. That's okay, he has enough scenes where his assets aren't hidden from view by his suit, or any other type of wardrobe.

  9. a.) Caity Lotz is awful, not as bad as Colton Haynes but that doesen't really speak in her favour either. In any way she's on the lower end of Arrows cast list. And the cast isn't phenomenal to begin with. No expressional acting, zero presence and a monotone voice really turned me off on her character.

b.) a holier than thou attitude that is starting to really annoy me and drive me away from the show. The writing depicts her in the right in various situations I simply can't agree with. At least some second thought about being in the wrong would probably do better.

c.) lack of faults, the character doesen't question herself, she fails to give much insight on her emotions as well.

d.) shoved down my throat, I could deal with her appearing here and there. But she is there in ever single episode making it seem like the writers are really trying hard atm.

Sara is badass, I'll admit that but the character in general has 'tune it down' written all over her. Give her some depth, give Lotz acting lessons and don't have her appear constantly and we can talk.

The way it is now Sara and Roy are the characters that are seriously pushing me away from the show.

Now Oliver has pretty much the same faults as her and he's annoying as hell. But I can only deal with one character of that kind at a time. Get rid of one and I can enjoy the other.

  10. If anymore of Stephen's assets are shown it will not be a family friendly show. :)

  11. I have to agree with mac here. I don't hate the character but my dislike for her is mounting. I loved Sara when she was introduced and in LoA. But after HttD the way they introduced her to Starling city and Team Arrow I lost complete interest in her.
We see Laurel apologizing to Sara after striking up a relationship with Oliver as soon as she steps foot in Starling city knowing it will hurt Laurel. And taking Oliver to that dinner was aweful. Where is Sara's apology to Laurel? Not even her parents understood Laurel and told Sara she was wrong in bringing Oliver and starting a relationship with him. Instead show went out of the way to paint Laurel wrong.

Where is her struggle in integrating to normal life and Team Arrow. Instead we see Felicity insecure because Sara is way more cooler and perfect and can do any thing (Honestly I don't understand why a successful genius computer specialist has to feel insecure about an assassin) thus ruining Felicity. Roy who was introduced to Team Arrow got two scenes in 4 episodes as the show is focusing on Sara's relationship with Oliver. Sara even managed to get a job as bartender in the club (which in itself is stupid as how can a vigilante who works in the night can bartend in a club?) without any struggle. Even next episode it is Diggle's reaction towards Sara.

Oliver absolutely has regressed back to his season 1 self after HttD. Now that is not Sara's fault but it is a reaction to her reintegration and Slade's arrival in Starling. All that growth Oliver as a character in first half of season 2 had is gone with this 4 episodes. I love Caity Lotz in action oriented scenes. She is awesome. But when it comes to dialogues she is bad. ex: Slade Wilson is going to kill Oliver's family, island scene where Sara asks Oliver to kill Ivo (wooden with no expression. no anger, no fear nothing). So the more dialogues the actress is given the more put off I become.

Now people can call me Olicity shipper or Laurel lover if they want. Because in this fandom you cannot simply dislike Sara. This does not mean I want to see Laurel as Canary or want to see Sara dead. I just want her in less scenes and see her having human emotions like guilt.

  12. Once more everyone who dislikes Sara is labeled as Olicity shipper and people say Olicity shippers are annoying and rude. Sara fans seems unable to discuss Sara unless Olicity or Felicity is brought into the conversation.

  13. Maybe she (and the rest of Team Arrow) only do the crime fighting after midnight since she got the bartending job. The club obviously closes - remember that scene with Sara and Sin after she had that moment with Laurel? That was after hours in the club.

  14. Was it? I thought it was before the club opened. As Oliver left Sara and Laurel and went home and it was daylight. If they start crime fighting after midnight when does Felicity, Diggle and oliver sleep? I always thought they came to the lair after their work and stayed there till the work is over which would be till midnight or later as they have work next morning.

  15. Terrible acting. Easily the worst acting in the show now. Her character is almost the same as Oliver. The writers took Oliver, took away his flaws, made him a woman, and put her in a BC suit. They have the same skills. Besides them fighting at the same level, they can pick up each other's weapons and use them perfectly. They both train the same. They both use the salmon ladder for fun. They have an almost IDENTICAL hero origin/backstory on the boat/island. They talk the same. Their terse quips are the same. If they switched some of Oliver's and Sara's lines no one would notice. They have the same stoic personality with a hint of humor 90% of the time, and the same wounded fragility when they're alone with their confidant (Diggle/Sin). Their bodies are littered with scars. They even have similar streetkid sidekicks in Roy/Sin. Sara reconciling with her family and having to deal with a drug addict sister is just like early season 1 Oliver. They even both ride motorcycles now.

This all makes her feel completely redundant, especially with the amount of time and focus the season is spending on her. The big difference between Oliver and Sara is that they write Sara in the right most of the time, without many flaws (the thing that makes Oliver an interesting character). They retconned her stealing Oliver away from Laurel for some reason, saying it was actually Laurel who did it to HER. And notice how when Laurel apologized for everything to Sara at the bar and when Laurel finished this big apology Sara didn't say, "I'm sorry for doing X and Y." She just said "I'm glad to have my sister back." Because Sara didn't do anything wrong, of course.

So yeah, terrible acting + she's a shallow, redundant female clone of the main character. All of this would be tolerable if she was a guest star like The Huntress and had one or two episodes a season, but she's been in every episode since introduced in both the present day and flashbacks and she's obviously taking focus and screentime away from other, better characters in the show. That's not tolerable.

And before I get accused: no, I don't care about Olicity.
