Acker will appear in at least one episode of the ABC series as Audrey, the famous cellist first mentioned in Marvel's The Avengers as being the love of Phil Coulson's (Clark Gregg) life. A talented musician turning heads in Portland, Audrey believes Coulson to be dead and has no idea that he's guarding her from a distance as a super-powered threat from her past re-emerges.

Acker will appear in an episode slated to air Tuesday, April 22.

  3. My migraine feels a little bit better now. :)

  4. That doesn't sound good for her character on PoI.

  5. That's great news, though not so surprising casting. I doubt that this will have any impact to her place in PoI..

  6. This oddly reminds me of Grace and Harold on Person of Interest. Probably because she's artistic and he's involved in covert intelligence.

  7. Given the characters she's played, I think I'd be be afraid to have Amy Acker as a lover. I'd always worry that she would steal my organs while I'm sleeping and use them to build an android, or something like that ;)

  8. And there goes the "cellist = Scarlet Witch" theory. Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.

  9. Carrie Petterson plays a similar role as a recurring guest on POI and she is also a regular on True Blood. It's a guest role, and she is a friend of the Whedon's. I don't think it'll impact her role on POI one bit.

  13. This is freaking fantastic, Can I think of this as some kind of Angel reunion? Even if J and Amy don't appear on screen together this is still exciting!

  14. Almost all Whedon shows are a Buffy/Angel reunion of sorts.

  15. Love this casting! wouldn't mind seeing more cameos from the Whedonverse

  16. Ha, yeah. But this is still exciting, I don't even care, hahaha.

  17. I love her (seriously, I do). Hopefully more of the Whedonverse will appear on the show.

I still have to catch up on Agents of SHIELD. I should do that soon, I've been having Marvel fever over the past few days : rewatched Captain America and The Avengers, watched Thor 2 for the first time (disappointing) and went to see Captain America 2 this morning (pure awesomeness, perhaps the best Marvel movie - yes, I rank it ahead of Iron Man).

  18. She's a main cast member, a fan and critic favourite, as well as integral to the story, she'll probably be fine. :)

  19. I'm... not too pleased about this. I love Amy, but they seem more suited as family members, like in Much Ado.

  20. YES, YES, YES!!!! And then make her an agent!!!! Love her! She and Gregg will be magnificent together! Though now I'm a bit afraid for Root on Person of Interest....

  23. She is also a main cast member in The 100

  24. She's so awesome, stoked to see her

  25. Am I the only one who doesn't care for her?

  28. Oh I would definitely catch up esp if you loved Cap 2 (which I can't wait to see!) because there is going to be huge fallout in the show. And yeah its definitely gotten better.

  29. Am I the only one who thought Jennifer Grey would be perfect to play the cellist?

  30. First time commenting! I think this was a GREAT casting choice because she was great in Angel as Fred and is good in POI.
