Why do they care if Damon is killing vampires? They had no problem last season with Jeremy slaughtering vampires (as long as it wasn't them). It seems like they'd be happy he's not mass-murdering a bunch of innocent people for a change.
It's more of a if he feeds on vampires, he could kill everyone. Which Stefan doesn't want because not only would he then probably have to kill Damon, but it would also destroy any part of the Damon Stefan cares about, and would leave him without any humanity left. It's not as much about him actually feeding and killing other vampires. Plus the Jeremy thing was so they could complete the mark and give Elena the cure.
the issue is he has no real control and is getting stronger by every drop of blood he takes in. Jessie was a vamp feeding Vamp for a day7week or so and was stronger than Damon. And they need a reason to kill of Wes.
I was on the edge weather or not I wanted Katherine to die but I felt like they gave her such a great send off in her episode. They should have let her die then. Now I can't wait for her to die already!
I'm guessing that Katherine is on the phone with Nadia when she's planning to get Damon killed. That might be why Matt, still under compulsion, tries to enlist help from Tyler and Caroline to "protect Elena." Nadia will probably want more than just Stefan there to make sure her mother doesn't die. However, in the promo photos, it looks like Damon is about to get some control over his feeding, and Nadia's plan will fall apart. I had an inkling before that Katherine and Nadia were going to try something in this episode to get "Elena" additional sympathy and protection. The last part of the promo looks like Caroline finally figuring out that Elena is Katherine. Hopefully. If they do get Elena back in her body after so much time has passed, there might be a lot of issues and insecurities to resolve. I'm pretty sure that Katherine will die, but I don't see why Elena should have to go back to being a vampire and a doppelganger now that new mythology has been introduced that gives her a choice. She only wanted to stay a vampire because she wanted to be with Damon. Now that's over and there are too many threats to her well-being. It would be a cool twist if someone else ended up in Elena's body, and Elena seized the chance to be human again and free of any curse.
There was an interview a while back in which Julie Plec said that the writers figured out early in the second season how Elena would eventually walk away from the Salvatore brothers, and how they would later on separate from each other. If Katherine does stick around in Elena's body for some unforeseen reason, then Nina Dobrev would still be the center of the show's love triangle and new storylines could develop around it without too many issues popping up due to Nina's break-up with Ian Somerhalder, at least for now. It's been said that the show will continue as long as the key three actors are still on it. This is just a theory, but maybe the EPs figured out a way to hold the show together and let Elena make her exit from the love triangle early. If I'm right, the sky's the limit as far as love interests for Elena. Honestly, as much as I'd like to see the end of Katherine and I'm sure it will happen, I think at this point it would be boring to just kill Katherine off and put Elena back in her body to resume the same old stories. More could be done with the traveler thing.

I would rather kill Katherine than Damon :D
ReplyDeleteKathlena is the best thing that happened to season 5, I'm really interested how they will resolve this with not killing Katherine.
ReplyDeletecan someone just kill katherine already. she's so annoying!
