    I'm about half way through the first season of the show which is where the quality truly peeks. But I am not watching for the Elena/Stefan/Damon love triangle but the actual MYTHOLOGY of the show which, when the writers focus on that is where it gets good! Favorite character has to be Damon thanks to Ian Solomander's performance and undoubtedly the BEST actor on the show.

    Sadly, the writers seem unable to remember their own mythology and the triangle later pretty much takes over the show.

    It doesn't seem like Katherine is even really trying very hard to be Elena. How has Stefan not noticed the difference? It's like he can't tell them apart at all anymore (he used to be able to pick it up on back in Season 2).

    It would be crazy if they killed Katherine with Gregor's old dagger and then another traveler ended up in Elena's body. Fans have been dying to see Tatia, and if she was a traveler, the Original Witch might not have killed her right. There are so many things that the writers could be doing, but for some reason the same stuff keeps happening over and over on this show. It's getting frustrating.

    I have to agree with you on the first part. Why can't Stefan realize that Katherine is pretending to be Elena when he used to figure it out so easily!??!?! Even if he isn't in love with her like he used to be, he knows her well AND know Katherine pretty well.
