ISAIAH WASHINGTON, HENRY IAN CUSICK AND PAIGE TURCO STAR IN A NEW DRAMA — Ninety-seven years ago, nuclear Armageddon decimated planet Earth, destroying civilization. The only survivors were the 400 inhabitants of 12 international space stations that were in orbit at the time. Three generations have been born in space, the survivors now number 4,000, and resources are running out on their dying “Ark.” Among the 100 young exiles are Clarke (newcomer Eliza Taylor), the bright teenage daughter of the Ark’s chief medical officer; the daredevil Finn (Thomas McDonell, “Suburgatory”); the brother/sister duo of Bellamy (newcomer Bob Morely) and Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos, “50/50”), whose illegal sibling status has always led them to flaunt the rules, the lighthearted Jasper (Devon Bostick, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules”) and the resourceful Monty (Christopher Larkin, “Squad 85”). Technologically blind to what’s happening on the planet below them, the Ark’s leaders — Clarke’s widowed mother, Abby (Paige Turco, “Person of Interest,” “Damages”); Chancellor Jaha (Isaiah Washington (“Blue Caprice,” “Grey’s Anatomy”); and his shadowy second in command, Kane (Henry Ian Cusick, “Scandal,” “Lost”) — are faced with difficult decisions about life, death and the continued existence of the human race. Bharat Nalluri directed the episode written by Jason Rothenberg (#101).

  1. Wait, Crowley's addicted to human blood? I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. Random. And that's the episode Snooki's in! Makes sense.

    And ooh, Reign sounds awesome.

  2. Hum.. it's obvious which new serie they want to give a better chance..

  3. It shouldn't be too random because Crowley did steal some of Kevin's blood back in "Heaven Can't Wait".

  4. Yeah, that's what I was thinking about. But I didn't think it'd turn into this. I like it!

  5. I was definitely hoping it was something more along the lines of Crowley just liked Kevin's blood, but that would have gone nowhere since Kevin is now dead, lol.

  6. The Originals: I wonder why Rebekah wasn't mentioned. Maybe she'll be the one who starts the violent fight, unless that has something to do with Elijah and Hayley dancing in front of her betrothed. I read that Elijah might have some kind of confrontation with Jackson in the future. I'm glad that Klaus doesn't appear to be as interested in controlling the city. Power seems to have a bad effect on him. Elijah was the one who wanted to relive the past in New Orleans to begin with, so he should have to do the work anyway. I wonder what deal Klaus will make with Jackson. Maybe he'll ask him to hand over the baby in exchange for Klaus' help fighting against Marcel when he regains power. I have to hand it to Klaus, separating himself from vampires who act as tyrants over other factions is a good strategy. Klaus might end up in control of the city anyway without even trying. Don't laugh, but sometimes I wonder if he might be a doppelganger or something.

The Vampire Diaries: The title "While You Were Sleeping" implies that Elena might be brought back in the end of Episode 16 rather than 15. Killing Katherine, or whatever they end up doing about her (she does have a habit of surviving), could only be half the battle. Since there's a war going on, an alliance might be formed with witches to get help saving Elena because it was a traveler who sealed her in a corpse. Katherine doesn't even like travelers, and there was at least one in her family. When Elena is brought back, however that happens, she should have a reaction to how long she was gone and what certain people did in her absence. Then again, titles don't usually mean much. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is the title of a song with lyrics completely unrelated to the content of the last episode. I would expect a synopsis for Episode 17 to show up either this Friday or next. There are probably too many spoilers in it to post it before this week's episode airs. I saw a picture on Twitter that indicates that Jeremy will have a scene with Liv sometime around Episode 18 or 19. I wonder if that'll be part of the rocky road ahead for him and Bonnie.

The Tomorrow People: I don't understand why Jedikiah is still in contact with Morgan. I thought he gave her up to keep her safe. Maybe the surprise will be that she's pregnant.

  8. Why doesn't TVD have a synopsis?

As for The Originals if Elijah wants to control the city than he should just do it himself. It was Elijah's idea in the first place to start over there and take back the power they used to have and so forth. It seems like Elijah prefers to put Klaus in charge that way he's not viewed as the "bad guy". Elijah I think likes to be viewed as the "noble" one but he can be just as bad as Klaus he's just less upfront about it. I don't Klaus is the right person to be in charge anyway and it's just not a skill that comes naturally to him and he doesn't really inspire people to follow him. Why are they throwing a party though? We have enough useless parties on TVD I don't want them on this show as well and Elijah certainly doesn't need to be dancing with Hayley if he's trying to reclaim power and so forth - that just sounds like it will be another scene that feels like the writers trying to shove Haylijah down our throats. Why is Marcel still alive and in town? Shouldn't he have bolted somewhere far away from Klaus after the last episode? I am curious though about what kind of a deal Klaus wants to make with Jackson - I wonder if this is the beginning of Klaus siding with the werewolves and maybe wanting to unite Hayley's distant relatives and his own super distant relatives in some sort of alliance or it's some sort of deal where he and Hayley can fulfill their per-determined roles and get married as long as Klaus gets to keep his child (since Jackson made it pretty clear two episodes ago that he doesn't care about the baby).

SPN - at least they're getting back on track to finding the First Blade. I don't even think it's been mentioned in the last couple episodes.

TTP - I wonder what kind of good this new break-out could be doing. I'm not really sure what to make of Morgan & Jedikah though.

  9. Yay, The 100 is gonna be awesome. And looking forward to Arrow and The Tomorrow People.

  10. I agree about Klaus - he does better when he's no in charge. Although I'm starting to suspect that Elijah prefers that Klaus be in charge so he gets all the hate and everything while Elijah can sit back and sort of control things behind the scenes. Klaus never really expressed a desire originally to control the city when he got there - Sophie told him if he didn't overthrow Marcel and replace him that she was going to kill Hayley and then Elijah talked him into taking back everything that they'd lost (power).

I suspect that Elijah and Jackson are going to be in some sort of love triangle with Hayley - which I have zero interest in.

  11. There is like no good reason why Snooki should appear on Supernatural

    ReplyDelete
  12. Aren't appearing actors always listed in a synopsis ? At least as '[Name of the actor] also stars' ? They did it with DG when he only was in preshot scenes.

    Why aren't they mentioning Claire ? I don't like this...she's a lead. She can't be absent for an episode...so....don't kill her off....please ?

  13. Some major spoiler must happen tonight or next week so the can't release it. This makes me even more anxious about the next episode

  14. Supernatural sounds good and I love Kavan Smith!

  15. Maybe it was too epic to be published among less epic ones.

  16. Is the Hart of dixie episode (315) being aired out of order? The last new episode aired on 2/17 was #313.

  17. SPN- Another hiatus?! At least it's just 1 week. And again they made a mistake, it's 916 not 915.
Love the plot, going back to two hanging plot lines, Crowley's addiction and of course the much needed Mark of Cain ;)
Too bad there's another longer hiatus after this ep :(

  18. I think she will get daggered. There is some suspicious looking bottle in Elijah's hand in stills for the next episode, maybe white oak ash?
It's the only temporarily resolution of conflict i see happening. Putting her in time out would hep the writers get out of the corner they wrote themselves in, elijah can't dagger Klaus with bone dagger and rebekah is not dying so the only solution is to dagger her and pacify Klaus for a while.

  19. TVD it would give away too much. Like Kat's fate.

  20. How can Elijah dance with Hayley if Celeste is back next episode?
Unless after all the vengeful stuff she pulled on his siblings he snaps her neck instead of carrying her off to a bed...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Elijah had Papa Tundre's knife in his hand - not a dagger;

Rebekah wasn't included in the synopsis for 1x01 or 1x06 even though she appeared in both episodes so just because she wasn't mentioned isn't a guarantee that we won't see her at all.

  22. i meant this bottle https://31.media.tumblr.com/44996d4fcc4113e2d8aca28aafe877e0/tumblr_n1oc07PCmw1r5fcdto1_1280.jpg

Looks like herbs but also can be white oak ash.

  23. Maybe it will be a love triangle? Like when Elena is dating one Salvatore but yet dances with the other (we've had this multiple times going back as far as season when she danced with Damon at Miss Mystic Falls) to keep the triangle-going.

    ReplyDelete
  24. If Celeste is not dead by that episode then yes it will be a triangle.
Maybe she is hiding somewhere, regrouping, coming up with another plan, but i think it's unbelivable Elijah would throw a party not invite her and then dance with another woman without some sort of solution to his situation with resurrected Celeste.

  25. No, for some reason they filmed what is supposed to be 315 before they filmed the episode that is supposed to be 314. There might have been an issue with schedules of one of the guest stars or something. So episode 314 is number 315 in production, but it shouldn't affect the storylines since they'll be shown in order. They were just filmed out of order.

Here is a picture of the script for episode 315 that mentions that it was being shot as 314. http://instagram.com/p/hMknOFr1pj/

  26. Elena has danced with both Salvatores at the same event so I could totally see Julie doing the same with another love-triangle since she's obsessed with them.

  27. Re: The Originals - "a violent fight comes to a surprising end"
I wonder if maybe Hayley goes into early labour.... She should be about 7 months along when the episode rolls around.

  28. Thank you Tracie. This is another example of your vast store of knowledge of HOD, and you generously share it.

  29. Maybe it's marmalade jar and Elijah tries to bribe Seleste with a picnic.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Finally someone who agrees with me on Elijah. He likes to play the good guy role like ALL the time. He sits back, lets Klaus be himself and then acts all mature, benevolent etc. I miss when Elijah was all on his own and not afraid of compelling vampires to stake themselves, or scaring Rose and murdering Trevor. He was not so much into playing the nice guy when there was no Klaus to compare himsef to. I miss that badass Elijah.
I think Jackson is not going to be a love interest until Hayley gives birth. But in second seasons, he may actually give Elijah run for his money. Especially if Elijah upsets Hayley by canoodling with Celeste in her real body.
