ReplyDeleteReally hope the man she marries is Francis!!!! And Olivia's coming back.Maybe they're bringing her back to start a relationship with Bash and that's why he's the one to find her?Lol just a little speculation on my part.Fingers crossed for Frary :)
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense and my guess would be the same and this way they would have followed history too and remember how Lola are supposedly closer in 1.13 according to Press release .. I think that and the above description lead me to believe Francis and Mary would get married!!
ReplyDeleteYeah in the description for Episode 14 it sounds like Lola might be up to something bad like a plot against Mary and if so maybe that's because she's in love with Francis and is mad because Mary wed him.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Francis and Mary together, he's much to fickle with his feelings. I'm not saying he doesn't love Mary just, but he's use to getting everything he wants without effort, and the moment someone questions him, he starts behaving like a spoiled brat, the first episodes (1-05). After Olivia's return the first time. He acted like a dick the whole time.
ReplyDeleteEven if Bash doesn't marry Mary, he will still love her, an he won't be jumping in anyone arms for awhile, I think. An even if Mary and Francis do get married, she believes it will cause his death, which it will ,so they won't be getting closer, she will keep him at arms length.
I wonder: what Lola is up to?
how did Olivia get out of the castle?
why didn't the people in the woods kill her?
is Lola weird behaviour linked to Francis? he's spiteful enough to use Mary's friend against her
I cant wait for new episodes to come back on, I love this show.
How is Francis fickle with his feelings for Mary? Yeah he may of been of unsure of them before and hey he's young,so how can you blame someone who's so young and can be a little dumb with their feelings.But when he provesed his love to her he didn't give up and even sent the guards to look for her and the only reason he ended up leaving the castle in the first place was because Mary told him she was going to marry Bash and so he realized then it was battle he couldn't win and which he wasn't very happy about and showed when he beat the crap out of Bash.The guy has gone through a lot and had his heart broken when Mary decided to let him go.It may just be me being a hopeless romantic but the guy truly does love Mary and showed it in the beginning when he was just a young man being forced into a marriage that he didn't want.But then when he first met her,when he approached her across that lawn and he realized how beautiful she was and when he first heard her talk as a young woman in her crazy non stop banter he didn't even seem put off and actually smiled,he didn't think she was crazy.And all those other times when he tried to fight his feelings for her when she found him upstairs in her old room making swords and she told him that she would save him and they could go rule Scotland together and he looked surprised and touched by it.But he was always trying to hide the fact that she got to him and that he was falling for her and that's whats so beautiful about their kinda love because it's something that grew and it didn't feel forced because he actually fought it in the beginning and so for me I got to see touching moments where Francis got in some kinda fight with her and even almost kissed her and stopped himself because he didn't want to feel that way about her.Because yeah he is stubborn and didn't want to love her and that's a crazy kind of love the kind where you don't expect to feel love for someone but you end up falling any ways and you can't help it and it's all consuming and for the time when he made the mistake of choosing to take Olivia as his mistress he apologized to her for that and came back for Mary and even risking his life in doing so because like he told Mary the only way to stay sane was for them to be together.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I fear will happen. Historically Francis died two years after he married Mary so I think it's unlikely they'll kill him off so soon (I'm not ready to let go of Toby Regbo) especially since his father needs to die before he can be king...
ReplyDeleteThe show has been pulling some big twists in history lately so I'm hoping, if they decide to have Francis die, to find a way to keep him around (ie. fake his own death for whatever reason)
I hope Mary will marry Bash. He is perfect for her.

ReplyDeleteI just caught up with Reign and I have to say,I was pleasantly surprised.
ReplyDeleteAs for this episode,I did not expect a marriage so soon(whoever she marries).I'm gonna go with Francis,because I think he is supposed to come closer with Lola in the coming episodes.So,my theory is that Francis sleeps with Lola,something happens to allow him to be the hair again,so he's the one to marry Mary and when they return,they discover that Lola is pregnant.I don't know if they'll go with that,but it would be interesting.Especially since Henry's first son is also a bastard,who's adored by his father and hated by the queen.It'll be a nice parallel to see how Mary will react and also how Francis will deal with it,since we know that despite his love for Bash,he was also jealous of him.

When talking to his parents about her arriving, there future marriage.
There whole talk, when she was rambling on was awkward, just so awkward .
Up in her old rooms was the only time he was nice to her. When they were talking about Bash.
When she showed up at his room, he was a dick again, " there is something you need to understand Mary kings do not answer to their wives " I didn't know Francis was already a king? Did any one else.
Then he was a dick again at his sisters wedding and he knows he's being an ass
2 ep Francis was really worried about Mary when the English showed up. He was willing to she then there union was strong by faking it . He was really good at faking it. Mary was right about his mother from the start and it took 2 boys dying before he trusts her .
Fast forward a few episodes and the engagement has been going much better. They start the day by making out, Francis builds her a boat "the just Mary" until Olivia
Shows up and Mary is forgotten.
He tells Mary that what he feels for Olivia is a sense of responsibility " destroying a girls reputation will do that to some people. Saying he's committed to Mary, then all his lines the next day,
"Actually I can because this is my court not yours "
"She's staying and that's final"
" I'm not, if I was I would take Olivia as my mistress, which is centrally an option"
He knows he's being a dick and that's why he going to apologize, then he's mad at Bash and Mary for kissing when he was doing the same thing with Olivia after she gave him a ego boost.
Francis did not beat the crap out of Bash. Bash never tried to hit Francis , he let his brother beat on him because Francis had a right to be mad.
Mary and Francis are so forced together, everything about there relationship is. Mary is a queen, she has to put up with future husband bad behaviour remember Thomas and who would have been Mary's whipping boy if she did something wrong. Love is just a bonus when royals get married.
Francis did say he was sorry to Mary after his bad behaviour ( he gave her the crappiest excuse ever) but
It doesn't change the fact that he didn't change his mind until he was almost taken by the count that Mary was almost raped and that's when HE decided its alright for them to be together , to love each other.
Finding out someone you love is going to die sucks and Mary didn't have time to come up with a plan so she left. Then she has to save Bash too.
I guess what bothers me so much is Mary had to try do hard to make Francis happy and depending on the mood he's in its either good or bad.
Mary and Francis are going to get married, don't think the honeymoon will go well, they get back to court and Olivia's there and Mary will find out Francis and Lola lied to her. Can't wait for new episodes .
I doń't want to start a useless debate Jenna .Well I am just gonna say that you are wrong about Mary and Francis business ! And even if Francis don't deserve Mary ( the way he acts with her at the beginning of the show ) , the fact that he has agreed with Mary and bash wedding prove that he has learned from his mistakes .
ReplyDeleteFrancis nearly lost Mary when she were going to marry that Spanish dude . He lost her again to bash . How do you think he feel ?! As Mary said , she had made her sacrifice and Francis knows and he accepts her choice . Francis can be a d-bag as you say , but now you can't doubt about his feelings for Mary . Honestly ( and that's my personal opinion ) , I never doubt since the first episode ( and the first time they look at each other ) that he loves her deeply even when he was acting carelessly . Sometimes, in love, you hurt people because you are afraid of what you are feeling . I think that's the case of Francis
I don't think he will go that far . Sleeping with Lola will be a huge thing for Mary to accept and as he still loves her , it will destroy any chance he has go get back with her. For the first time , I really don't know what to expect :) ( the Mary and bash hookup/wedding was obvious for me because it was the only way to give some actions ) . But with this Lola / Francis / Mary thing going up. I don't know what to thing :) so excited :)

ReplyDeleteI like Francis but my fav is Bash ♥ and I like him with Mary because I can see more chemistry between them, I cannot see any between Mary and Francis. But I think Mary is very a very selfish woman because she doesn't care about putting Bash's life is in danger, She only cares about Francis life can be saved. She doesn't deserve to be with Bash. He is perfect for Lola, and her for him so Lolash forever.
ReplyDeleteThat marriage will be Francis and Mary. Bash has another role and I think a really important one. At the end he will be loyal to his father and that won't change for nothing even for Mary.
I'm really upset that Mary is already marrying Francis. How is that "fully exploring a relationship with Bash" as the writers claimed they would? Bottom line, Bash better not get heartbroken - I hope it's a mutual decision that he does not want to be king. It's not fair that during the entire series his interests are always ignored. Poor guy, he's always on the back-burner of everyone else's lives :(
ReplyDeleteIf you have watched the producers preview, you can find that they start to have disagreements as soon as Bash had to make some serious decisions and It looked like that is going to last the whole episode.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is some external factors might force the marriage and as Nostradamus prophecy starts with marriage which already would have happened and she still has feelings for him, there is no way she is going to hold back for the brief time they would get to spend together.My other hunch is Lola and Francis would get intimate by the start of the 1.13!!
You mean force a marriage between Francis and Mary or with Bash? And you're right, I saw the preview and I hope they keep disagreeing and Bash decides that he wants out!

ReplyDeleteI can't stand Olivia either! I think I'm okay with Bash and Lola together. At this point, I feel like they need more characters. Besides Bash & Francis, there aren't any guys around! Greer is with Leith, and Kenna w/Henry (and I do not want Kenna with Bash - how much weirder would that be knowing she slept with his dad??)

ReplyDeleteI know she annoys me,it just seems like she can't decide between the two brothers and now Bash and Francis who were pretty close in the beginning aren't that close anymore and she isn't very open with Bash.She should of told him in the beginning that her and Francis slept together.

It's starting to bother me that both guys are in love with her and she's just sitting there incapable of deciding who she wants....didn't give Francis or Bash any opportunity to oppose her choice. In "Inquisition" Bash was asking her if she's ok with taking all these risks for the politics, or if she truly wants him regardless of everything else since he has real feelings invested. At least he's trying to be serious and get to the bottom of how their relationship would theoretically pan out.

ReplyDeleteYeah I know and I'm a Frary fan.But I definitely feel for Bash too because she just seems to be switching guys alot and did that with Oliver too and yeah Francis wasn't sure if he wanted to get married then,but gosh did she just run to the next guy she could find fast? She's gotta be the only real person irritating the crap out of me in this show.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe Mary and Francis married this soon!!! I think he's such a jerk. I think they have chemistry and crazy passion, but he is too immature and fickle.First he's not interested, then he's a jerk, then he has a mistress, then he sleeps with her friend (even if it is fair cause she's with his brother.) And poor Bash. His one sin is loving Mary. And she just threw him away. She doesn't even care about his safety. She just trusts Francis to protect him. What is wrong with her anyway? Her and Francis do belong together because she's as immature as him. Bash is too good for her!

ReplyDeleteI don't know...You could definitely be right.I literally just came up with this theory and I wouldn't have if it didn't say "life-changing situation".But for some reason it fits in my mind.One reason is the one I said above.It would be a compelling storyline to see how Francis and Mary would deal with it in comparison to how Henry and Cathrine dealt with Bash.It can create new dynamics between Mary and Catherine.Of course,if it happens,Mary's friendship with Lola will only complicate things.
ReplyDeleteBut also,because a marriage takes place so soon(personally I was expecting it at the season finale or not in season 1 at all),they somehow have to keep the Francis/Mary/Bash thing going,because let's face it,it's one of the core storylines,and while I do believe that Mary has feelings for both,I think ultimately she would be faithful to whoever it is she married.Unless something happens to shake things up.
As for what you said,about it being too much for Mary to accept,which is true,it would also parallel Mary choosing Bash(someone Francis loves as much as Mary loves Lola,if not more),BIG time.For whatever reason she did it,Francis does feel betrayed,we know that.Having the opposite happen would,let's say,even the odds between them.
But it's still just a theory.Never talked about Reign before,it's interesting! : )

ReplyDeleteMy guess is Mary marries Francis which I'm ok with, I like both Francis and Bash so either is good and interesting storyline wise. I don however wonder if Francis will die at the end of the season and Bash ends up being Mary's on/off friend/love for the rest of the series?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Lola is getting a storyline and I hope she becomes more a part of the show. Kenna and Greer are also getting a bit more stoyline coming up too which is good.
