I wanted to start clapping when John pretty much told Cara where to go. It looks like Jedikiah already has abilities. That scene made me cringe. Was it me, or was Jedikiah having a telepathic conversation with his brother? That's a big secret to carry. I wonder how he's hiding it from the Founder, and what his endgame really is. If Jedikiah did make himself a tomorrow person, that explains why he's been so lenient with Stephen. He's not jealous anymore, so why would he turn on his nephew? The fact that he exploited his brother is a different issue altogether.
Jedikiah's a real Son of a bitch isn't he?!?! God i love to hate! I want to punch him in his face every week! Sometimes multiple times within the hour!! Ugh!! He really fueled me tonight. Especially the last few minutes. I didn't believe anything he was saying, and i'm SO glad i didn't.
John. As much as I ship John/Cara. I'm soooo glad he rejected her. I was so pleased by it! Jumping for joy!! I was all, "Ewww burnnnn". And good for her, b/c she totally deserves it. John is his own man and i'm glad he's done being there for her ONLY at her beck and call. She just got slapped in the face of reality, and i hope she learns from it. I really do. But away from that. I just want to admire my favorite character for a minute. John, cooks, he cleans, he kills to protect, keeps to his word, he's helps strangers face their demons, and he has chemistry with everything. The scene with him and Stephen's Mother. I just kept thinking, wow, John can talk his way into anybody. Hahaha I just needed to throw that out there. Ok moving on...
(Chanting) Hilary must die! Hilary must die! Hilary must die! I can't take her anymore. Her question to Stephen "Where are you pulling this from?" That irked me!! I literally yelled, APPARENTLY NOT OUT OF YOUR ASS, STFU!!!. I'm sorry, she's gotta go.
Roger, Jedikiah, and Marla scenes. I was glad to see all them having scenes. This was the first time we saw Roger and Marla in a scene together. And it was refreshing, as opposed to always seeing them in scenes apart. Same for Roger and Jed. I always wanted to see how their relationship dynamic was first hand. Instead of hearing "stories" from everyone else' mouth.
Luka having a little screen time. Doesn't suck. I wonder when the day will come when Marla and Stephen confront Luka on their ability. I take it Luka will start to get suspicious sooner than later, especially if the both of them start acting iffy around him.
Russell, always a pleasure. For me anyway.
Excited for next week. I look forward to seeing Astrid.
I'm with Lil miss, I thought he was just crazy. I felt rather sorry and nasuated by him at the same time. I really hate Big Bads, the writers tend to use them for everything, everything bad and evil is their fault, so I was hoping Jed would move more in grey area, with his love for his brother and John. But after his demented chat with his not so dead brother, I'm not sure...
I can not stand Cara and I was so happy that John just walked away and just left her sitting there by herself. I liked how Stephen and John r becoming better friends and that he took him in when he didn't have anywhere else to go. I cant stand Jedikiah either and Cara is almost as bad as him in my opinion.
I interpreted it the way Lil mis did. That he was making a sick joke. However, the other two possibilities are that there is some telepathic link between the brothers or that Jedekiah has only been able to acquire partial powers. The captured twin brother was able to telepathically call to his own brother for help. I didn't think that humans could do that from a distance, which is why I though there might be a sibling link.
Great episode. They really can't cancel this show...it's getting so much better. We found out quite a bit in this episode. Jedekiah wanted to study the twins, probably so that he could figure out how to get powers from his own brother. And I like how Stephen figured out that Jed couldn't possibly have cremated his dad. The scenes with Marla were great, including her conversation with John. Cara sending in a paranormal with a gun was just reckless, considering that Stephen could easily have been killed. I also liked the fight seen with Russell and the twin. Next week should also be very good.
That Russell fight scene with the twin was so badass. I was cheering Russell on like crazy. I do love his fight scenes. And that's two strikes now with Cara's reckless behavior regarding Stephen's life. How is he not ripping her a new one?? Seriously?
That sandwich scene killed me! I laughed so hard. Russell to Cara, "he's probably dump trucking for food right now." Cue John eating comfortably at the table, "mmm, this is more than a sandwich." hahahaha I was thinking John is definitely The Man! That was too funny. And seriously, am i the only one who finds him sexy when he eats?? Idk why, but the way he eats, he's just so suave about it. Or maybe i find it attractive b/c he's the ONLY real character in the show to really sit down and take time out to eat. I think that's what it is.
LOL, so funny! I was questioning myself yesterday, if it was because Im in love with the character that I find everything about him sexy, even when he eats, talks or whatever! I think Im not alone here....LOL I know you dont ship him with Astrid, but I cant wait to see their scenes next week. Ratings just came out here at spoiler....not high enough but not low either!!!! Ugh! I just cant help it but love underdog shows for some reason! :(
I liked Jedikiah as the good bad guy. Not sure why he really wants/needs powers. So, is Roger dead or alive? It seems as if Roger is dead and Jedikiah is keeping his body. But can he really get powers out of a dead person? And isn't Roger still in limbo? Don't really get all that stuff.
You definitely are not alone. I think i just appreaciat the fact that he's "normal" as opposed to everyone else. I mean yeah, we've seen them dance, party, let loose. But i feel John is the one who has more fun in a "subtle" way. Or his personality is so toned down, he's cool in every aspect. Know what i mean? ok for ex. The basketball scene. Him going the extra mile to make it work with Cara surprising her at the club. Him flirting with Astrid eating pizza. Him even drowning his sorrows in tonight's episode and being a quiet drunk. I mean when that scene appeared tonight, i just wanted to throw a blanket over him, and stare at him in his sleep. LOL Like he's not OUT THERE. And that's what makes him sexy for me.
Yeah, i don't ship Jastrid. You're right. But i'm not 100% against them either. But i'm not where you are. Not even close. But since they are my two fav. characters on the show, i do look forward to their scenes together. Especially since we know John will be helping her out with her dreams. Well nightmares. I'm more curious into knowing HOW he goes about that. I feel like it should be more than verbal communication. More than just the usual "i remember my time at Ultra" speech. I feel like he should use his telekinsis to float her around the room or something idk. LOL But i want him to use his powers on her. Make her feel a bit better. AND i'm also curious to know WHY she decided to go to John and not Stephen?? Yes, ok, John was there. But Stephen is her bff, he's been with her for 18 yrs. I just find it odd that she wouldn't tell him about her problem. And how the hell did she get in touch with John anyway?? (listen to me, like you wrote the damn script, smh, excuse my rant haha.)
As far as underdog shows go. I am not one to always fall prey to the "underdog" shows. The last show i liked that didn't get picked up for a second season was 5 years ago. (sigh forever will stay a cliffhanger, but we got a little insight on where they wanted to go so it was a tiny bit of closure) Mostly out of the 20 plus yrs i've been alive, my shows are always Hits not misses. However, it has happened a few a times. So if this show does get cancelled, i will definitely share your pain. I think i speak for all true TV fanatics when i say, even if you're for the show or against the show. It sucks having a show you get involved in cancelled with only a First season. Especially when it has a lot of potential. I compare it to a funeral. When the show dies, you kinda die along with it. You grieve, and after a period of time, you always keep it with you. So with that said, let's prepare for the worst but hope for the best!! ; )
John cooks, nice :D. Russel was awsome. Loved Marla. I really like Robbie Amell but although it's not as bad as in the beginning Stephen does not apeal to me. Hurry at Stephen defending John. I got a weired attachement to the show. I find the SL quite boring and predictable and not interesting, but I keep tuning in waiting/hoping for it to get better. This episode was ok for me.
Im starting to lose faith on my beloved BATB so Im looking around for new favorite ones thats why I say I love the underdogs LOL, but as you, I always like hit shows one or two underdogs in my list no more. Im prepared to whatever now!
How is John this charming? He can act a scene in an empty room talking to the walls and have chemistry with the tiles, Seriously WTH!!!!! I LOVED his scenes with Marla.
Awful, the twin twist was really terrible and all of the characters, with the exception of Jedekiah and maybe John, were acting melodramatically and stereotypically
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI dunno I jus thought it was a sick joke on Jed

ReplyDeleteThe only thing I liked was everyone socking it to Cara. Would love to see Stephen's mom giving him a lesson since she is powerful
ReplyDeleteAgreed
ReplyDeleteEven before her BS I never took to her character
ReplyDeleteLOL. I think John definitely gets the TV boyfriend (or ex-boyfriend) of the year award!

ReplyDeleteAgree with you in everything....OMG John ..... have no words! Love him. And cant wait for next week. :)
ReplyDeleteCould i be his reward? B/c i would love it if he could take me home. (drum roll) lmao.
