  2. I liked it. Is it just me or did Roman become more "beefier" between last week and this week?? Idk if it was the quality of this episode, or the fact that i was kinda blah last week. But i definitely saw his age in this episode tonight. I mean i know the actor is what early 30s?? Late 20s?? But i just kept thinking, HS student my ass. lol I mean yes this is the CW and that's their thing. But this is the first time i ever really noticed it. Idk w/e.

Anyways, i find myself liking Terry, and Drake. I also like that black guy. God, sorry my fellow fans i'm off tonight. What's his name? I think him and Terry are adorable. I also like Grayson, but now i don't with that twist at the end. Wth are Red hawks?? I really liked the scene at the carnival with Grayson and Emery. And i'm sorry, but she's not warming up to me yet. I find myself liking every other character except for hers. I don't hate her or anything. But i think it'll be awhile til i warm up to her.

I liked the alien language, that was interesting. (Klingon anyone?) And that whole "I'm a little rusty" umm No! Roman you better get on that, becauseee i want to hear it. lol So actor get with the native tongue. Work on it.

Also enjoyed some of the cheesy/funny one liners. "You show me your teen spirit, i'll show you mine." "You still trying to bang that drum?" "She likes dark and mysterious, i could do dark and mysterious." "Is that a fish?" hahahaha Those were cute.

    All in all, not bad.

  3. Alright. The CW is going in a good direction with green lighting a couple genre shows per season but they need to expand their canvas and have shows that don't focus on romance. SPN is doing well, you'd think they'd try it more. And with this show's title obviously it's going to focus heavily on the romance and angst. But still I plan to give it a couple more eps unless the ratings fall below a million like with Cult.

  4. Much better then the pilot. Still not completely sold on the romance but I love the way they're taking things.

Also the nod to removing the religious reference from the pledge was nice to see. Somethings happened to religion since the Atrians arrived...but what?

  5. Better than the pilot. Can we get over with that supposed epic romance? Or at least tune it down? For me it doesn't work. The SL seems to be getting more interesting though.

  6. I think pilot episodes are usually filmed a few months before the rest, because the pilot has to be ready in time for upfronts in mid-May. The network execs watch it and usually show it to test audiences as well, to decide whether to pick it up to series. If the show gets picked up, it only starts filming episode 2 and onwards in late July or so, if I'm remembering right. In fact, since Star-Crossed only premiered now rather than in the fall, that gave them plenty of time so maybe they started filming even later. Anyway, my point being, given the time gap between filming the Pilot and episode 2, there are sometimes noticeable changes in the actors' looks, despite the fact that not much time has passed in-story. So maybe Matt Lanter bulked up during the time that passed between filming 1x01 and 1x02.

Anyway, I have to agree that it makes him even less believable as a teen which is saying something. I think viewers were already meh about the "teen" cast of 90120, although that's no different from the original show, haha. Of course, since he's playing an alien maybe the show can get away with saying they age faster, despite having a human appearance. (I don't actually watch this show, BTW - I just love discussing silly things about TV. LOL.)

  7. I enjoyeD the episode, it was better than the pilot the pace and the story were more coherant and the overall pace was nicely done. The built was handled well & the Grayson twist is something I wasn't expecting.

  8. The romance feels very rushed to me. Already she can't stand to not be with him?

  9. I loved it. The struggle between the humans and Atrians in society is what has me interested. I like the idea of the romance but not exactly how it's been told so far. I have to say, this has my attention much more than The Tomorrow People. Not that I want to loose TTP but I am loving the struggle in SC more already.

  10. Actually you know what, you're right. I wasn't thinking about the filming method. That is how it goes with a tv series. So thanks for that. And i didn't watch 90210. I was a fan of the original!! Which btw, at least in that time, it was a little more believable that they were young hs students. This excluding Gabrielle. I mean c'mon it was 1990, the 80s had just finished, and back then it was OKAY for adults to play as teens. I mean take Grease for example. Yes John Travolta was 23 at the time playing an 18 yr old, but Olivia was 29 years old. 30 When the movie was released. So yeah. That was the thing back then. But NOW even though, no actor or actress plays their age on tv, some actually age well and look the part. I hope they do say that b/c they're aliens that they age faster. B/c it seriously looks like Matt Lanter should be in College, while the lead role of Emery, really does look like she can be a HS student.

Smh. Alex you're so silly. = ) I love it.

  11. I never really thought about Lanter being too old for the role until I saw people discussing it here on SpoilerTV. But I'd pick 30 year old charismatic and interesting actor over someone not yet 20 that's just 'meh' every time.

  12. It really showed for me in episode 2. So i couldn't help but bring it up. Usually nothing like this bothers me, but it was so OUT there, that i couldn't help but not say anything.

  13. Totally agree...

  14. Great, I thought this episode really expanded on the characters in a way that made them feel like more than teen stereotypes, in particular I like the popular girl.
