It's funny how every mistake, victory, and turn of events in our life's, can lead up to the one we're going to marry. The very night Ted meets Robin was the mother's 21st birthday, and also the night that her first love, Max dies. Neither the Mother or Ted was able to let go of their feels for their first love, until the night before Barney and Robin's wedding. To me, that just shows how committed they are to the one they love...

If the mother's first roommate had not convinced  her to go to the club on St. Patrick's day, she would have never ran into the "naked man" who made her think about her future, and enroll in school for economics. That's when she met her future roommate Cindy, that ended up dating Ted. Fate always seems to intervene when we least expect it, because that very first class she took, was the famous wrong classroom moment for Ted. Although we got to see how adorable they are together, when she laughs at one of his stupid jokes. "No food in the classroom, because that would be mighty shellfish".

Meeting the mother was awesome!! Seeing her as a heartbroken, grief - stricken woman really made us fall in love with her. The ending when she sings La Vie en Rose, had to be one of the most beautiful scenes of the series that touched our souls.
