    Gabe's eyes and face look like they did at the end of season 1 when he was losing to his beast side and was downright evil. One can only hope.

    okay, now they've done it, they've managed to piss me off again! ... who thinks that Gabe needs to go?? like YES-TER-DAY!! who the heck does he think he is, strutting around, patronizing and acting like he's the boss of them? seriously who died and made him the know-it-all superhero/savior of the humanity of this series?? conceited much, aren't we? ... oh,how easily he forgot that once more if it weren't for Vincent's beast, Cat would have probably not saved his ass... again!!! and he seems to forget as well that if it weren't actually for HIM and his selfish ass (hello, whiny Gabe-season 1-I-don't-care-who-has-to-die-for-me-to-continue-my-pathetic-life?.. does that ring a bell?) none of this *mess* would have even happened to begin with?!!

    and Cat, what is she doing, just standing there, or even actually siding with Gabe?? ... guess we'll still have to wait to see the old Cat make a come back, huh?

    well, can't wait for Monday nonetheless, hopefully by the end of the episode Gabe will have been knocked down his mighty high horse!! quoting Vincent from season 1, he really needs to punch him square in the mouth!! kick his ass already, Vincent!

    Have you forgotten what a jerk Vincent is? Just because Tori is dead does not mean she did not happen. Vincent does not deserve Catherine. This is a show so she will end up with Vincent but it real life Catherine must pick Gabe because he is a better choice. Gabe has a job, rich, cares for Catherine and is not a cheater.

    I loved the eye from Vincent to Cat. And the JT's corte, when Vince almost justify that his attitude is because of the Cat (maybe, I'm wrong, but was that I understand).
    I consider unforgiven, Cat continue with Gabe - Vincent don't deserves this from her.

    You're right. He's not a cheater. He's just a guy who kidnapped Catherine and used her as bait to lure out her boyfriend, who he tracked for months, so he could kill him. And because of his own selfish reasons, he inadvertently lead Muirfield right to Vincent which caused V to get kidnapped and brainwashed in the first place. All of this occurred because of Gabe wanting to continue to live out his rich, happy life. Go Gabriel Lowen. What a winner.


    If that is what Catherine deserves, instead of a guy who's actually DOING things to redeem himself, (you know, as opposed to standing on the sidelines taking credit for everything), then I truly feel sorry for her. Truly.

    How was Vincent cheating? He and Catherine were not together when he got with Tori so how is that cheating? So Gabe wasn't an ass before when he tried to kill Vincent, locked Catherine up etc? Sure he's tried to make amends, but why Can't Vincent have that chance too. He was brain washed, memories and DNA changed because of what Gabe did. But he shouldn't be given time to sort that out - which would take a while, not happen over night- and then try to make amends too?

    Kudos to you, Guest, for pointing that out. I'll even go as far as to say that Catherine has ALWAYS used Vincent's beast when it was convenient for her. Even in S1. Vincent did beastly things multiple times out of love for her. So the anti-beast attitudes that develop when Gabe is around completely baffles me, especially since Gabe was a beast himself like two seconds ago. Jealous and unreasonable as fans? I don't think so. Just fans paying attention.

    Sounds just like Gabe's dialogue when they were "baiting" Reynolds, and we all know how that turned out! Why didn't he just get into Reynolds' car at the last minute, then we would not have to endure this "lonnnnng" ride on the gagmobile! Vincent is trying so hard to get "Vincent" back and all he gets is a sucker punch from Mr. Know-It-and Has-It-All! Thank God for JT in this scene! I'm trying to endure this mess too, Gabe, until Cat gets her "memories" back of who she should be with!

    And here it goes to just put them together to TRY to save the show... who Cares if Catherine shot Vincent or if Vincent Pushed and betrayed her?? It's ok, because this is an epic love and Physical abuse is all ok in the world. Who cares if Vincent only realizes that he wants Catherine when another woman tells him?? Never mind it's an epic love.

    And now just to put them together, they will turn Gabe in an ass... Why let him alive in the first place? I really thought it was a good idea, Gabe and Catherine together, but the writers did a horrible (please, i need a worse word for that).

    The idea NOW is to make Vincent a poor human/beast soul, who is suffering a lot from what BAD Catherine is doing to him. OH come on, really??? There is no one right, here. The writers have been messing with Catherine's character since episode 21 from season1. Catherine version season 2 is just worse. How so easily Catherine belived in Gabe, was beyond me, and how she forgot everything he did, was laughable.

    So, now Catherine is against using the beast? What changed? Not long ago( last episode), it was all ok! Who cares about something called consistency, right? It's just a character, who doesn't have a personality, who changes their opinion based on what they need and want. WAIT! This is something villains do, isn't it? But this is an Epic love.

    Just a thought, Vincent is living with what money? Never mind.

    Since now everybody knows about Vincent and he was in a tv show, nobody went after him? Not even that nephew who is a firefighter and Vincent saved his life? No, because no one in USA watch television or read the paper. That's ok, because it's an epic love.

    Have you guys seen how many times i used those two words? It's annoying, right? but they are basically what dear Show runner use, to justify all the madness he's done with the show. And I have seen people agree without a blink.

    I agree that the show needs support, but everything has limits. I reached mine months ago, I don't want the show to get canceled because of the fans (I'm no longer consider myself one), but i won't move a finger to save Batb. Last year, i even sent a book to Mark, now... I can't say i will be sad to see the show gone, because i won't.

    I understand your point, but Vincent was with Catherine when he kissed Tori and that's cheating in my book and i agree with Savannah in that. I respect your opinion, but Vincent is an ass for me too. It's funny how he always realizes that Catherine is the one, when there is no other woman available for him. But i totally agree with you about Gabe. This season, Catherine is so pathetic that sometimes i think That she and Gabe have amnesia. They always forget their own mistakes, so convenient, right?


    My point is, where is this so called love Vincent and Catherine had? Because Kern even said that Tori and Vincent had a connection that Vincent could never have with Catherine, and Catherine could never understand. What Catherine and Vincent did this season that they deserve each other?


    But like i said in my comment earlier, it doesn't matter if it will make sense anymore, because the show is called Beauty and The Beast, and Vincent and Catherine has to be together. (Kern's word)

    Vincent never cheated. Anything to do with Tori was because of that strange pull she had over him, it was obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes that he had no deep feelings for her. Vincent has never done anything wrong that cannot be legitimately blamed on powers beyond his control or a misplaced sense of justice.
    Gabe on the other hand has never been anything but a loser, right from the word go. Oh, sorry, except for that short time when he seemed to go from loser to pitiful whiny self righteous ass. Not only is Catherine not smart to listen to him, but she should beat a quick path in the opposite direction, and the sooner the better.
    So very unfortunate that Brad Kern has absolutely butchered Catherine's character.

    O.o are we even watching the same show?? or did you miss the end of season one and part of season 2? Gabe is so far from perfect, no matter how good you're trying to make him look, it's not even funny!!


    as for Catherine, funny how she doesn't mind in the least people beasting out when it seems convenient to her (hence, her saving Gabe in the first place -since I'm sure she had no idea that him dying would kill his beast as well, and she needed Beast Gabe to get Vincent back- or her not minding when Vincent beasted out to save Evan, Heather, Gabe, Tess, herself, and anyone he could save in beast-mode!) ... I'm still wondering what happened to the girl who claimed that what Vincent was made everything worth it... suddenly he's not worth it anymore because he's still a beast when Gabe isn't?

    I'm really sorry, but i think you were just kind of rude with Savannah when you said "why are you even wasting your time, knowing that in the end chances are you won't have what you want anyway :?"

    You do realize that the reason BAtb is almost done, is because people stopped watching, right? Like one of the writers of Supernatural said "Everyone watch the Show for their own reasons." If Savannah is an American(which i have no idea if its a yes or no),is another person who still is hanging n there, that is heping with ratings. Well let's face it half of the viewers just gave up.

    I don't agree with her when she said that gabe is the voice of the reason, but I can see where she is coming from, because KERN said that Gabe was worth it of Catherine when Vincent wasn't. That Vincent and Catherine will be together because The show is called Beauty and The Beast.

    If the show runner doesn't believe in their love how come the viewers will??

    Btw i respect your opinion and i get that Vincent was brain washed or whatever, and this is totally on the writers, but the whole point of the so called Epic love was that Vincent and Catherine had a connection that they wouldn't have with anyone else. Vincent could killed and hurt a lot of people BUT Catherine, and that wasn't what we saw this season. Catherine shot Vincent for god's sake!

    Vincent didn't trust Catherine, because he didn't remember her, but just because Tori was a beast she was trustfull? So why he kept killing beasts? He was the one who said to Catherine that "when all this missions are over I will make it up to you".

    I'm not excusing Catherine of her mistakes, I've been saying she is pathetic season episode 21 of season 1 But just because Vicnent had amnesia, it doesn't excuse himself either. Btw you were saying that the Kiss between Tori and Vincent was a way to Vincent pushed Catherine away. I didn't see the tweet, but a beastie friend of mine did and she told me that the writers said that the Kiss was because Vincent wanted too.

    I'm not trying to pick up a fight, I just trying to give my opinion, which since episode 1 of season 2 is not good at all. I don't have faith in the show. I stopped watching, came back and just get disappointed every single episode.

    Like i said in my previous comments, I know Vincent and Catherine will be together, they are end game. I always knew that, but my point is, is it real? What kind of love they had? This is not Beauty and The Beast, the show just became a BAD soup opera and we still have to hear, that they are an epic love and all this is normal. Because THAT is true love.

    I'm sorry but true love, epic love was Nathan and Haley from One tree Hill. They made a mistakes, terrible mistakes, but THEY fought for each other. We had nine seasons of a couple who overcome everything you can imagane: kidnappings, depression, lack of money, car accidents, pregnancies... and the list goes one. But even with their mistakes, their characters had something, that Vincent and Catehrine no longer have: consistency.


    I will say it again, i respect your opinion, and i get all your points, but i just can't agree with everything.

I get what you're trying to say and I definitely agree with most of your points believe it or not... like I said I'm not seeing the epic love anymore either.. epic for me would have been for Vincent to feel the beastly pull toward Tori yet, even if he broke up with Cat, realize before anything could happen with Tori, before he could even just *think* of anything happening with her, that he couldn't go there because his pull to Catherine was even stronger than that, even if she was just *human* and she would never get his beast-side like Tori maybe could! (didn't know btw about Vincent *wanting* to kiss Tori, I don't do twitter, AND I admit to have voluntarily not watched a few episodes because as far as I'm concerned the storyline they went with just sucked too much for me!)


    epic would also have been Catherine trusting her feelings for VIncent and what she knew of him before they took away from him everything that made him the man she loved, maybe *considering* a relationship with Gabe, if the writers really wanting to go there, but only to realize sooner rather than later that nothing she could ever feel for him would ever compare to what she felt for Vincent! and it would certainly not have been sleeping with Gabe just because her dear friend Tess was actually all but urging her to and telling her that there was always time for sex RME... I mean how epic is it that she mourned the loss of her relationship with the supposed love of her life in a matter of weeks (if that) and in the arms of the man who, in a major way, was responsible for their separation.


    as for my comment to Savannah, I was honestly not trying to be rude, just trying to point out how baffled I am that she could watch a show called "Beauty and the Beast", invest time in it, when she clearly wants Cat to stay/end up with Gabe, yet clearly knows that she won't have her happy ending... sorry if it came across that way, I get what you said about watching if she's in the US (didn't take that into consideration since unfortunately I'm in France and can't do anything for the ratings)... but let's be honest, the only reason *I*'m still watching is because of the name of the show precisely... unless BK is stupid enough to pull a Dawson, I'm still hopeful that things will get back to normal for VinCat, even if it will probably never be like season 1 no matter what magical stunt they pull, too much damage has been done to the show and the characters and their relationship... and even if quite honestly, with all the Gabe time they're giving us, I'm *this* close to giving up! I definitely didn't sign up for this! though I want a 3rd season, there is only so much I can take!

    OMG I just hate what this fandom has become, I think I hate it more than what the writers have done to the show, team Vincent, team Gabe, team Cat. Is just horrendous! Unfortunately, to be honest, USA fans stopped watching and the besties fandom seems to be growing internationally but I dont know anymore if that can pull miracles, most of the new shows on the CW this year are doing way better than BATB did in S1 not even comparing to ratings in disastrous S2.....so all we can do is enjoy the rest of the show, trying to pull it together at least to the end of this season which frankly might be the end of the series.

    I agree with you and I still reinforcement with the following: the Cat's problems don't arrive near of the Vincent's problems. The Murfield did of Vincent, a laboratory rat for use and abuse without give him choice chance - with all this, for me, Vincent dont have fault for big part of his's actions. Vincent has a great human beside, what do of him, a guy from big character. Who on this world, after this tragedy could be considered a loser?


    I know that Gabe was victim of the Murfield too, but he in normal situation or Beast situation, is a egoist. He don't measure pains for have what he want, still that for this, someone have that died. I don't understand why the writers preserve Gabe (he died in season1) and still create a relationship between he and Cat. *no sense*

    I have read through all the discussions. I think we try very hard to get into the writers' heads. I haven't liked the Gabe and Cat relationship. Sometimes I even catch myself arguing with what is going on with them. Then I thought what if I were the third person looking in on some of the things I have done in my life. Maybe this is what the writers want us to see and experience. We humans can be pretty mixed up. I like Cat's and Vincent's last dialogue in Redemption. They both talk about when they thought of the beast as a person. I got what the writers are trying to do. Both Vincent and Cat need to see where each one is coming from. Let's enjoy what is left of our episodes, and I hope we get season 3 because I enjoy it.

    I am officially over the show because it is draining my happy energy. I like watching only certain shows and focus on those but unfortunately HOD and this one were my two favorite and now that too (HOD)will be cancelled and to be fair it should be as another load of nonsense. Now we have 2 episodes left on BATB and still don't really know what is going on, VinCat are still apart and will be until return of hiatus, may not even return because of low ratings on the two remaining episodes before hiatus. Too much nonsense, breaks and characters changing overnight, weird love triangles and too many tunnels and dungeons. I honestly believe the show is done and I honestly don't care anymore:( and done voting or saving it any longer. I am done, done and done with CW and never, never start watching a show on any channel until it has been renewed for at least 3 seasons.
    Done now with my rant and I don't think I will wake up tomorrow and change my mind. Good night.

    I totally agree with you Claudia about what the fandom has become. It's sad that last year we were all so connected and connected to the cast and writers. It's all fallen apart this year: the show and the fans, the only consistent thing has been the talent of JR and KK and the little we've seen of AB and NL. We need a do-over for the do-over which is what season 2 was suppose to be.

    Gabe is such a douche bag, I cant stand it anymore. And now, Im even more disappointed to see the pictures from 2x16 with Gabe in all of them, how lame! My hopes were up in 2x13, but then, 2x14 was all about Cat and Gabe all over again, with them sleeping together, barfff. I guess it makes Vinc and Cat square since he boned that red head....

    Very well sad! I think you are right by saying when Vincat are not together before the hiatus a lot of fans are done and moving on. It is very sad but I am worried this will happen. I love BATB and I will stick around and keep hoping for the best and for the epic love that I loved so much.

    Unfortunately I still see pics of Gabe in some released on Twitter into ep 17 - he's sitting on couch w/Cat and Vincent and Tess are standing behind it. To me it signals she's still with Gabe or why wouldn't she be sitting w/Vincent? I'm like many, very baffled on the way over the top "beatitude" of Saint Gabe this season; his smugness, superiority and conceitedness - that he has to fix everything that Vincent has screwed up is beyond sickening. And Cat just seems to be sitting by and taking it all in - with Tess the cheerleader. If it weren't for JT and his support of Vincent, he'd be all alone. No one has his back any longer - last year Cat always had Vincent's back no matter what he did but this year its only JT. BK should just give Gabe his own spinoff show and get him of BATB - clearly he loves this character or actor (whatever) and doesn't understand the meaning of epic love - even though he says that is what Cat & Vincent share. His definition is clearly different than the founding Producers Jennifer & Sherry had.


    I also notice that with the exception of Austin Basis, no one else associated with the show this year is actively engaged with the fans. I don't know if the early criticism and personal attacks by "fans" early this season has discouraged them from being active on social media with fans and there were clearly some pretty rude and personal attacks on sm (and continue) that may be the only thing I can think for their silence. I see an occasional Tweet from Sherry but nothing from Jennifer for months. They also used to do weekly "Producer Previews" which were awesome in season 1, but nothing since about ep 3 or 4 this season from them.


    I wonder if there is a season 3, if they'll keep BK as show runner and EP - at this time it is unfortunately doubtful that there will be a season 3 unless its picked up by another network, but given the continued struggling ratings in the US, not sure anyone would pick it up.


    So I'm watching ep 15 with low expectation that Cat will end her relationship with Gabe - it seems that despite assurances that VinCat will be together that BK is determined to drag this arc out for the entire season -again different from season 1 that the arcs are way too long this year - they were only 2-3 episodes last year and the fan base grew each week.


    So BATB Writers and Producers, get out there and help the fans understand where you're going with all this and please don't imply that VinCat are getting together when they're not (e.g. Valentines ep was portrayed as uber romantic episode for Fans knowing ep 13 was airing on Valentines week but then ended with Cat choosing to be with Gabe instead). Don't get our hopes and expectations up then crush them by shoving more Gabe down our throats. I'm bracing myself to see Cat continue her relationship with Gabe til the end of the season.


    If the rumour of her getting pregnant with Gabe's baby are true, I think that this will finish me off with the show for good - there's no coming back from that in IMO. While I try each week to be positive, and be encouraged by the ladies of "Forever Beasties" on Facebook after each week it is growing harder and harder to see any positive signs and to bear the "journey" of season 2. Last year the arcs were shorter and they allowed fans to be heartened by the small then larger steps to be together - the producers never let the fans get so down that they gave up hope and this is what I've been seeing with fans (self included) this year.

    Yeah that rumour just makes me sick to my stomach. I have stayed with this show through all the crap they have thrown at us but if the show goes down that road, I am done. That would be the straw that broke the camels back. Especially if that rumour is true and we don't get a third season? Thats how they are going to end it on? Why have I wasted my time then? But yeah same as you, I'm not letting myself hope for too much for tonights episode.

    In real life how many people choose the better guy, You don't because choosing the one that has hurt us is usually the more exciting relationship etc. Secondly Gabe is definitely not the better guy!!

    Well I am back, my hiatus was 1 day only:-) Sounds like poor Gabe got his answer and VinCat are catching up on lost time. BATB won Save One Show and now have over 1million Likes on FB. With that news maybe we will get a 3rd season.

    Thats one of my problems right now with the show, the writing, before I was only focused on BATB and because "the epic" love story kind of dragged me away from the flaws which i didnt see that many to be honest in S1 or not as many as in this S2, it feels the show tried to stay away from the Romance and focus on the action, I guess, to attract new viewers, but sadly it didnt and the old fans faded away, the problem here in the USA there is too much competition on quality shows, and Ive noticed it more this season, since because of the poor written episodes at the beginning made me watch other series, and WOW, I found so many flaws specially in the story lines and the writing, and above all they had the brilliant idea of taking away the epic Love. I keep watching and supporting the show until its over, but the sadly part is what the fandom has become its what really bothers me, attacking each other because we can agree to disagree.

    Thanks R2 and like you I will never be done with this show. I agree with you about not putting hate to actors etc. I continue to be amazed and how JR and KK can pull off what has been done this season. They deserve those PCA awards over and over and over again. I agree that sending hate to the writers or actors is wrong wrong wrong. But I think that questioning the writers and showrunner is what needs to be done. Good writers take criticism as how to improve what they are doing. It is part and parcel of their job. This season did not take as they expected and there were lots of opportuinties to make changes. I understand the other implications of a tv show as I work in a profession where every decision we make implicates so many other things and there are lots of other things to consider. I guess I do not really agree that we are as connected this year as last year. The problem is that if you love the season it has been okay to comment but if you haven't, we have been told over and over again to stop. We have been told by some, not all fans, that we do not have a right to our opinion. That is not the democratic country we all live in and again in my profession it is the comments that are not supportive that actually make things better. And I honestly feel that there was a connectness with the cast and crew last year, but with the whole change in the tone of the show this year, that "family" feeling hasn't been there. I do respect your opinion and will fight to the end for this show!

    Yes it was a great episode but still not out of the woods yet! All of what you said JAS is so totally true. I honestly think the reason that we lost that connectedness with the cast and crew is that they could sense our unhappiness and I honestly do not feel they were happy with the direction the show went either. We saw so much of them last year and they were always smiling and happy off the set; this year slowly over time we saw less and less of anyone associated with this show. I agree the arcs were way too long and did not hold the interest of a lot of fans. Now finally we are getting back to what the show is all about, though still some unfinished business. Brad Kerns told us in his last interview we would get what we are waiting for, but then we heard they are not back until after the hiatus. So I am not sure what "fans have been wating for" means after the tragedy of the Valentine episode. I just hope it means they both realize they love each other and say it to each other; Gabe is out the door, not off the show because he is after all one of the MAIN characters now; not JT and Tess like last year. I just hope it means that the only reason they are not really together is that they get pulled apart in the cliffhanger, not because Cat has some residual obligation to Gabe. I want the old Cat back who did not let anyone tell her what to do, which she is still doing even at the end of the episode.

    Not sure If I agree with you about losing the connectedness with cast because one of the reasons we didn't see so much of them this year is because there didn't do as much promotion as first year of the show. Also, this year they traveled to shoot some of their scenes and I am sure travel took up some time away from their families so when they did have down time it was spent with family, or whatever. As the show got more popular I am sure they got noticed more in public and as we know JR and KK are very low key, not your typical out there actors that love the attention. So I honestly feel those type of things had more to do with their lack of public appearances.
    I could be wrong but at the Comic Con in NY both KK and JR said they felt much happier with the new vamped up direction of the show.
    Regarding the unfinished business with VinCat, well we do know that whenever this show finished, that could be this season or next, or the one after, we do know VinCat will be end game. They have to write a story and make it good for people to stay interested and the relationship will always be the fore front of the show so the story will always be written around that relationship and that is what I think but could be wrong:).

    I am glad we can disagree and not be insulting to each other.. I appreciate your point of view. I think that when KK and JR went to N Y Comic Con the season had only one episode and then it was after that second episode that many fans really were not happy and I saw a slow decline in the connectness of the cast, crew and fans. But that is just my opinion.
    I am not sure what you mean about VinCat will be end game. You are right that this show is all based around their relationship but the vision was to break them apart and put them back together in this season in a stronger more foundational way and then they stay together. That is the core of the show not them being apart season after season but in the end of the series they are together. Sorry if I am misreading what you mean.
    Thanks again for being polite and not rude in not agreeing with me. I have had others who have been quite insulting because I have not liked the season like I did last year.

    jesus christ! I realize that writers of a show like this needs to add drama and obviously breaking a couple up does that but you GOTTA give the fans AT LEAST something they want some of the time! We will not continue to show up every week if all we get is disappointed.

    I hear you sister:) You are as much entitled as the next to your opinion so just ignore and pass over the negative ones. I think some people come on here to have an argument about anything. Main thing is we keep it clean and real and not go out of our way to insult anyone. I try as much as possible but not everyone will but I do like the discussion boards as I am the only one in to BATB in my house and it is great to have a good discussion after watching an episode.
