Banshee - Episode 2.06 - Armies of One - Preview & Teasers [UPDATE: Inc. Exclusive Sneak Peek!]

14 Feb 2014

UPDATE: 12th February - What happens when Quentin comes to the bar looking for Jason, find out in our exclusive sneak peek below!

Also, see below the preview for an exclusive new promotional photo, and for the missing words filled in on the teasers. Sound off below with your thoughts Fanshees, are you looking forward to the episode on Friday?

After deciding which direction their lives should take after their road trip Carrie and Hood are back in town this week, one attempting to build bridges with her family and the other trying to make up for the hurt that always seems to follow all those that are close to him. Neither will find their chosen task an easy one; this is Banshee after all, the town where everyone is economical about the truth at best and downright lies the rest of the time!

Just as Jason’s new identity is finalised and he is finally free to move on and start a new life for himself his past catches up with him in the shape of Quentin, a no nonsense, hard hitting Brit who’s not going to leave until he has what he’s come to town for. Once Lucas finally gets some resemblance of the truth out of Jason about what he is after he meets up with Quentin to strike a bargain. Welsh actor Andrew Howard is a fantastic guest star this week, bringing a Guy Ritchie feel to some of the fights scenes, and a real menacing, unstable edge in his dialogue with Starr.

It seems as if Deva is still not quite ready to forgive her mum, to her face anyway, as she warns her to stay away from her again this week, but her true feelings get the better of her later during a driving lesson…with dangerous consequences. Carrie may have more luck with Max when she makes one of scheduled visits to the family house, but with Brock still digging around for dirt on Hood and Gordon’s nightly addiction to the strip club, will she ever be able to fit back in where she longs to be.

Since Proctor brought Alex the peace offering in Bloodlines the two men have buried the hatchet, so to speak, but Kai being Kai wants more from the relationship and won’t be happy until the Longshadow is firmly in his pocket. With Nola gone, George Hunter is poised to strike leaving the hapless Alex has nowhere left to turn but to Proctor, much to his delight. This whole deal starts a chain reaction of events that ends with Rebecca learning a hard lesson in allegiance, and gives the audience a glimpse inside the very deranged mind of Clay, quite possibly one of the most disturbed characters on the show.

Armies of One airs Friday February 14th at 10pm on Cinemax, below are some teasers to see you through until then. Don’t forget to come back and vote in our poll after the episode and let us know what you thought.

“Got rats in the basement, fumigated a few weeks ago, thought they were gone but turns out they only wanted me to think they were gone, so now I'm bringing out the big guns”

“Is it just me, or does it seem like every scumbag with an automatic weapon comes to Banshee to shoot you?”

“They’re never gonna forget about it, these guys have rules”

“When did you first figure out your father was a criminal?”

“I dunno if anyone ever changes really, but we can evolve, right? I mean, that’s what we’re trying to do isn't it, just become become better versions of ourselves?”

“Why is the casino so important to you? I mean you've got all these other businesses, it just seems like a lot of trouble”

“You shouldn't be smoking at a petrol station, safety first, fun later”

“Rabbit fucked you, he fucked you hard”

“They were talking shit about mum!”

“Oh, don’t thank me, after all we’re partners”

  1. It's a corker of an episode this one!

  2. Rebecca's allegiance? Does she betray Proctor by telling Hood something or is Proctor teaching her a lesson because she slept with Jason?

In a town full of fucked up characters, Clay Burton is the one I am most interested in -there's something menacing about his quiet attitude and polite voice and I love it.

Any more hints about Rebecca's allegiance and Burton's craziness? Please. :)

  3. Sounds like Banshee is back to it´s normal pace. The promo didn´t show Proctor, so I was happy to read in your review that he is in this episode. I´ll also be happy to learn a bit more about Clay.

  4. Hmm, not sure how much I can really say without getting into trouble, at best all I can do is tease really, sorry. Rebecca attempts to copy an aspect of her uncles behaviour that she possibly thinks he's teaching her, things are definitely getting darker between them.

As for Clay, it's only a short sequence but it reveals a lot about the man, done in the way the show excels at when you see the characters thoughts mixed/edited with what they are doing.

  5. He's not in it a great deal, unfortunately, but he does have a larger arc coming up later on which is worth looking forward to, and he certainly makes an impact in this episode too.

  6. I love Proctors character, and always hopes that we get at least a few good Proctor scenes in every episode, but I am actually glad that they don´t over use him. I like that his story is playing out slowly. They could just have made hime the big bad for one season, but this way works much better.

  7. Totally agree, he's far too interesting a character to explore to have only had him as a single season baddie isn't he. His control over the whole town is something that would also be hard to replace if they got rid of him too soon, far better to have Rabbit as the big bad for now and Proctor as the constant thorn in the side.

  8. I loved episode 5. One if my favorites of the series if not the favorite. I know episode 6 is back to regular programming in Banshee.

I don't want Carrie back with her family as Gordon's wife so anytime she spends trying to reclaim that is a waste of time for me. She married him for all the wrong reasons and it's been a fraud from the start. Hood was just a catalyst to the inevitable breakdown of that marriage.

However, I understand from a story point of view why she has to try to be "Carrie."

  9. I hope Carrie doesn't disappear again for long stints? I missed her. She's my favorite character alongside Proctor.

  10. She's back in town for good as far as I'm aware :)

  11. Good:) I love all the characters actually. Some more than most of course. The only 2 characters that I don't necessarily want to know more about are Siobhan and Gordon. I don't mind knowing but I would prefer that time be spent on the Longshadows. Infact, when I heard hood would have an affair so to speak, I was thinking it was with Nola and not Siobhan because right from the 1st season, I didn't really care about Siobhan. So imagine my disdain as a Lucas and Carrie gal when the affair was Siobhan. lol.

Now they got a 3rd season, I'm curious as to the 2nd half of the season. See what they did and then imagine where they will go next.

  12. I love almost every Job scene.

  13. Job is my favourite character by a long way, love Hoon Lee!

  14. Sandi, who is this CLAY? Do you mean Mr. Burton, Proctor's creepy right hand?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I love Job aswell. I get why you think he is underused, it would be nice to see him in every single episode, but frankly that´s what I love about Banshee - they don´t overuse any of their characters.

  16. Yep, awesome indead. Glad to be back in Banshee, where all the action is.

  17. When you steal an identity, make sure that you don't get a catchy son with it.

  18. i dont know, I think some characters get far too much screen time.

  19. Thank you for the preview again, I've been too busy to watch the sneak peaks or have a look at the quotes in detail. I think it will take a bit more insight to guess them this week as apposed to last weeks.
