Yeah, gotta agree. While I liked several of the Monster of the Week episodes over the first 2 seasons the Tooms episodes were definitely some of my favorite.
Though I'd like to add one not on the list: Fire, Cecil L'Ively. Mark Sheppard guest starred as a pyrokinetic serial killer and Mulder was distracted by an old "flame" (Had to go there). I'd put that episode up there as well.
Eugene Victor Tooms is going to win this poll, for sure... my other votes are for the ice worm parasites, the wood mites, and John Barnett. Yes, all season 1 episodes, I'll rewatch that DVD set any time - in fact, I think I'll do so now *walks off whistling into mist-shrouded distance*
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Tooms all the way. His episodes were my favorite.

ReplyDeleteSqueeze/Tooms for sure. I had nightmares after the first one!
ReplyDeleteI loved Fire so muich that I immediately remembered Mark Sheppard from it many years later. That was one creepy, "well-done" episode.
ReplyDeleteI am getting the strange urge to join you in a season 1 marathon.
ReplyDeleteEugene Victor Tooms made my skin crawl.
ReplyDeleteThat was a good one.
