  1. So we'll have both The Returned and Ressurection.......... mmh
Hope Ressurection will get renewed 'cause it seems like ABC has had a tough year with their pilots...............

  2. I believe there is also a third one being produced by a cable network. Resurrection is on ABC, and somehow somewhere I know I have read about another television adaption on cable. I can't find a source now because I really cannot remember the working title or the network, but I know I've read about it.

  3. Yes, that's right! Thank you Babar! I love the basic plot, so I am honestly hoping for both ABC and A&E to strike gold with the shows.

  4. Let's not forget NBC is bringing back Babylon Fields from a few seasons ago... hopefully the new pilot will be just as good. I still have a copy of that pilot and watch it every couple of years, it's amazing.

  5. Been planning to watch the French version for a while since I'm French native but I don't think I'll ever watch since I know that there will be an US version!

  6. There's a possibility saison 2 of Les revenants airs in September/October on Canal+, in which case a late 2014 U.S broadcast is possible, but if it starts in November (season 1 did so, in 2012), then I doubt it'll air on Sundance Channel until early 2015 at best.

But anyway it's good that they're sticking with the show, I expected no less given how much it's been talked about a few weeks ago.

Filming of season 2 is about to start next month, btw.

  7. The AE version hasn't even been ordered to Pilot yet.

  8. Oh -_- You happen to know when they know whether or not they'll order it?

  9. Not watching an original show because a remake is in development? If I may, that reasoning makes no sense, et encore moins si tu es français :D.

  10. Well I've been disappointed many times in French series so that's why I'm a little afraid to begin watching it.
Perdu ! Je ne suis pas français, héhé :D

  11. Sorry, I can't say for sure. I think it's is likely that they will order it to pilot, and then order it to series, seeing how popular The Returned (Les Revenants) has been all over the world. Even if they order it to series, I think it probably won't start airing until 2015/2016.

  12. What a long wait! How many seasons does "Les revenants" have? Just want to know if there's a lot to catch up on or not... :)
    Thanks for the info!

  13. Season 1 consisting of eight episodes aired last year, so you can easily catch up before the second season airs later this year.

  14. Started downloading the eight episodes!
We'll see what's it like tomorrow then.. !

  15. Don't be afraid to watch Les Revenants, trust me, it delivers on every level : acting, plot, cinematography, directing, score, scenery, pace, etc., and most of that will undoubtedly be lost if that remake happens. It could be good, but if that remake is on A&E (which is no Sundance Channel), it will be very different, I doubt the story would be handled the same way, so it'll be worth watching the original too.

Yes, many French series are crap, like 95% of what's on TF1 - and I don't even know what the 5% are... Profilage, perhaps, I've heard it's not that bad ; to be fair 95% of US shows they air between 9pm and 12am are crap too.

But there are silver linings : Fais pas ci, fais pas ça and Les Hommes de l'Ombre on France 2, Un Village Français on France 3, Hero Corp on France 4, Odysseus and Ainsi Soient-ils on Arte, etc. All of them are great shows, and they're all on the air nowadays on public TV. There's also the OCS (Orange Cinéma Séries) comedies such as QI and Lazy Company, and they've got great projects coming soon, but that's pay-cable like Canal+ too.

Canal+ series in general are usually pretty good, and Les revenants is the top of the crop (la crème de la crème, as they say in English). Great themes, very human, perfect adequacy between the visual style and the writing...

Si tu es "French native" mais tu n'es pas français, alors j'avoue ne pas trop savoir d'où tu viens, c'est assez mystérieux tout ça ^^.

  16. Now, I'm convinced, lol.
Il n'y a pas que la France où les gens parlent le français, tu sais..
Je viens du pays dont les français se moquent le +.. surtout de notre présumé accent.. :D J'te laisse deviner...

  17. Any date / window for The Honourable Woman? I have loved Maggie Gyllenhaal since she played James Spader in that movie Secretary.

  20. Given that at the TCA, the Sundance people have said Rectify season 2 starts shooting in a couple of weeks and will be ready for next summer, and with The Red Road airing in March, that leaves April/May all to The Honourable Woman's 8 episodes (filming wrapped in late November, so they're ready to air it).

One thing's for sure, it will air between The Red Road (February 27-April 3) and Rectify S2 (around July, I guess).

  21. Have you watched it?
I've had the first season since this morning and I'm like afraid of not liking no I just don't watch it... :/

  22. I have watched 30 minutes of the first episode.

  23. It’s a good thing it was in French. The last scene was pretty much good!
I don’t think I would’ve watched the whole episode if it weren’t in French!
