Accidentally posted this much earlier than I wanted. Oops. This choice is harder for me because there were so many good scenes. Great ode to friendship tonight.
I have 3 scenes that was my favorite... I choose Stiles & Lydia but I like Scott roaring and turning Talia back into a human & I like Peter being tortured & talking about singing.
Stiles frees Lydia from another trap after she pep talks him through it. This was my favorite scene because i've always said he was the heart and brains of the show, almost always figuring things out for the others and it was just nice to see someone else acknowledge it:)
So many scenes that I loved! And that ending wow! Seriously I can't choose between Peter and Derek/ Kira and Scott/ Scott and Stiles/ Stiles and Lydia/ Allison and Isaac/ Scott facing Malia (by roaring he helped her to be back as a human being and seeing her back as a girl -that was clearly prisoner into this were-coyote shape- helped him to turn back). Each one of them helped and has been helped by a friend in that episode (Except for Peter. Peter has no friend, only allies!). :-)
I was mortified for Kira, but now I am hoping he's a running joke throughout 3B. I'm sure he won't be but I can't wait to see if he can top this embarrassment too. Perhaps putting up pictures of her as a child throughout the classroom?
That was an awesome scene. It gives me hope that Todd Stashwick (Mr. Tate) will continue to play a role in 3B. I really like him as an actor and he could pull off one heck of a twist.
For me it is the fact that he seemed utterly clueless in Anchors that announcing to the class that Kira had no friends was not the best approach. I'm beginning to questions whether he is indeed a high school teacher because the cardinal sin is to point out someone's lack of social mobility. Every high school teacher knows that right from the start.
It was nice to hear someone on the show acknowledge Stiles key role in it. In a way it reminded me of Sheriff's speech when he called Stiles the gamechanger. The fandom gives Stiles a whole lot of credit but sometimes I think his brains and sheer heart are overlooked on the show.
Peter was in a wheelchair in season 1 and remember what kind of damaged he caused. I trust nothing on this show, especially when it comes to Grandpa Evil. I guarantee he knows something about the nematon, especially since Argent told him about it in the flashback episode. My guess is that he realizes Darach was pulling power from it, which meant it was suddenly back in play.
Melissa Ponzio tweeted something about that awhile back. Glad to see she's getting other roles too. So how was she? I don't watch Chicago Fire so I know nothing about it. I assume she was a guest star and not a recurring character.
I was very close to voting for the Scott and Stiles scene as well. I adore when Teen Wolf puts their friendship fornt and center before all other relationships. This time, instead of Stiles talking Scott out of the fire in Motel California, they allowed Scott to talk Stiles down. I thought it was a great bookend to the former episode.
As for Peter, everytime I want to feel sorry for him I realizew all his problems are self-made and therefore I can't. He makes such a great villain and snark machine though.
Totally agree with you! Peter is such a great villain - clever and pleasant enough, but always selfish, manipulative, with a sassy sense of humor that I enjoy - and when you start to like him he always surprises you with a bad behavior! I know it's weird but the fact that he can't be trusted is probably why I like him so much. He's an interesting frustrating lone wolf. :-) About Scott and Stiles, I think their friendship IS the center of Teen Wolf (and also the reason why I like it so much since the start). Scott is the werewolf here but without his friend Stiles he wouldn't have survived five minutes in this show. Stiles is always helping Scott and Lydia with their supernatural issues. I love that this time Scott and Lydia are the ones helping Stiles to keep his calm and self-control. Some good reversals of situations in these scenes. Finally I voted for Scott facing Malia, another great reversal of conditions in my opinion.
I'll take Scott's roar for my favorite scene. About that "weed" though. Are we sure it really was a weed and not the Nemeton sprouting a tiny new branch?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteKira's dad embarrassing her was a great scene. "You forgot all the research you did for that boy you like."
ReplyDeleteLOL! My mouth literally dropped when that happened. That poor girl :p
ReplyDeleteSomeone pulls a weed from the nematon, releasing glowing lightning bugs in the shape of people
ReplyDeleteMalia and her father reunites made me cry!

ReplyDeleteThat was a bit confusing. I wonder who was that person

ReplyDeleteLet us all hope it was not Gerard. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteOnly on Teen Wolf can lightning bugs be both a threat and genuine defense against werewolf attack.

ReplyDeleteI ended up picking Stiles and Lydia, mostly because it was not winning. There were too many great scenes to choose by merit alone.
ReplyDeletewasn't he in a wheel chair? Do you think Gerard knows about the Nemeton?
ReplyDeleteThis is completely off topic but I just saw mama McCall on Chicago Fire tonight

She was a good co star. I think she'll have a recurring role. She took a interest in the chief. Normally guest stars returns on Chicago Fire
ReplyDeleteI forgot about Peter bring in a wheel chair in S1... I hope it wasn't grandpa Argeant too
He is a good actor. I saw his guest appearance on Justified. He had some humor in his role

Supernatural for me. He played Shifter Dracula in one of the best standalones of the series. Hilarious, evil, and yet sympathetic - a great character.
