  2. Just don't understand Rachel and Monroe...actually think they are made for each other, they both make no sense
Miles didn't keep the son from Monroe, he did was the mother (who was Miles' fiance when the son was conceived) asked him to do...hide the son from a lunatic Monroe. And Monroe didn't kill Danny...he tried to kill all of them not just Danny and he only indirectly killed Danny

  7. No, Rachel, you do NOT have to help Monroe find his son. You could have stayed behind, helped your father find Aaron, and we COULD have had a nice Miles, Monroe and CHARLIE road trip. But for some reason you're going instead, robbing us of some wonderful Marlie and Charloe moments.

And for crying out loud, I'm so sick of the "you killed my son" bit. Danny freely elected to fight in that battle, he was a grown man who made his own choice. That choice got him killed. Deal with it.

  8. THANK YOU!!!! She's just along for ride to be that groupie chick to Miles. She should have kept her self there with Gene (since she wanted her dad back so bad). Charlie/Miles/Monroe are team badass. Now we are going to have to see her snarky looks and remarks the whole trip...DAMN!!!! I'm tired of the "you killed my son" stuff too. Monroe didn't not physically go up to either Danny or Ben and kill them. In fact it was Danny's stupidity all around that got people killed. Monroe wasn't too far gone that he asked for Danny and Ben to be brought to him ALIVE. No one is blaming Tom Neville for beating on Danny....hmmmm

  9. It's frustrating how the writers keep ignoring the fact Miles destroyed Rachel's family. If Miles hadn't gone after Ben, there is a huge chance Rachel and all her family would have been fine. I'd say more than 90%. Not 100% because maybe Monroe would have gone after Ben anyway after Miles leaves the militia.

At the same time, it's good that Rachel and Monroe are going to have to deal with their issues. I love their very complicated relationship. The more we get of them, the better. They are really made for each other. Can't think of more similar characters. Too bad the writers always wanted to kill Monroe and dropped any possibility of romance between them.

Maybe Rachel dealing directly with Monroe will made her realize he's not responsible for everything bad that happened with her and her family. Miles is also very much responsible. Rachel herself too. I never forget that after Danny died, Rachel was blaming herself because she had him and didn't take care of him.

Rachel is a very complex character and her relationship with Monroe just makes her more interesting and layered. Now Miles just makes her dull.

Hopefully the reason Rachel is being "forced" to help Monroe is a very convincing one. If she's doing it because Miles said she was "always the one" after treating her like crap for years... *rolls eyes*

  10. Monroe indirectly caused Ben's and Danny's death. While Rachel maybe indirectly caused the deaths of Monroe's girlfriend and child. Rachel knew how to turn the power back on and she didn't do it, which killed millions of people, including Monroe's child and girlfriend. Maybe if there was no blackout, they would have lived. Who knows. Interesting, isn't it? I think so.

  11. They both make a lot of sense...

Monroe - clearly has experienced great losses (his sister, his parents) and the flashback with loosing Shelly and the baby make it seem like that's where he really gets pushed over the edge, but I think there's always been something a bit sociopathic even before then (even before the blackout it seemed like he knew something, but the writers could have just decided to go in a different direction). I keep thinking that maybe he was abused in some way as a kid too (I think that might be why being a father could really exploit his emotions to extremes one way or the other)...Monroe seems to always want what Miles has or wants (some kind of jealousy/envy thing going on)

Rachel - She's a broken person because her father berated her in her romantic conquests, it could also be why she also is moved to be in a scientific field, like he is. The we have the fact that she felt something for Miles and he lied to her about his actual feelings for the sake of his brother (a brother we don't ever see him spend much time with). Ben then sells his company and his soul to the DOD which seems to have partaken in the Blackout (Randall was a Patriot), then she makes some kind of "unknown" deal with Miles and/or Monroe which is followed by an imprisonment, Monroe staging her death in front of Miles, and then we have this "mystery 4 yrs" where she is not in contact with Miles. By the time we catch up to her in season one, it's clear she's a broken person...because she has had to put up with SO much and listen to people who have done nothing but lied to her...even once we get past the Tower, Gene tries to make it out like she's completely crazy and pyschologically damaged and that just keeps her from progressing. In "Everybody says I Love You", I think we might have hit a turning point as some of these truths are made known to her and she tries to think of Gene and reach out to Charlie...

Sometimes I wonder if Charlie is Monroe's and not Miles...It would make her choice to save his life more relevant, but it could just be she's realizing that she has to let go her hate, and despite the loss of Danny and Ben, she has to start being responsible for herself and for her and her daughter's future and Monroe is someone you need in a world like this....

  12. I think she fears loosing Miles to Monroe again. I think now that she knows that he does love her, that she's the one, she feels like she has to start fighting for it...
