    it seem that voight don't want to dirty anymore and serve the people of chicago and not report to IA on things

    I'm still so confused about that whole front! Was he ever dirty in the first place? Or is he undercover as a dirty cop?

    I liked the pilot i thought it was a good start but i have to say the 2nd episode is ALOT better than the first one. I'm hooked!

    In Chicago Fire, Voight was definitely dirty. Voight's son injured and paralysed a teenager while he was driving drunk and Voight went to great extents to force the witnessing firefighter (Casey) to retract his statement about the accident. When Casey refused, Voight resorted to numerous intimidation tactics. He tried to frame Casey by planting cocaine in his apartment and when that wouldn't work, he tried to have Casey murdered, which is why he ultimately went to prison. After his release from prison, internal affairs made a deal with Voight, which involved him agreeing to pretend that he was still a dirty cop.

    Voight was so awful in Chicago Fire, that I was actually surprised (and disappointed) when I read that he was starring in the spin-off. In an interview, the Chicago PD producers said that if they had predicted that they were going to make a spin-off with Voight's character, they would never have made him so shady in Chicago Fire.

    I too couldn't believe he went from prison to head of the unit. I think they managed to spin it so it's believable in TV land, I do really like his acting, so I'm glad they managed to work it out. I kinda like how we just don't know for sure if he's good or bad. In the pilot he seemed to have a heart when he helped that kid yet in this ep he was encouraging his officer to stab the guys eye out....definitely,... definitely grey at the very least!! lol

    Honestly, it's not really believable that a person would change so drastically. I hated Voight in Chicago Fire but I really like him in Chicago PD, so I choose to ignore some of the things that happened in the former, otherwise it just doesn't make sense. For me it's like he's a different character in this one.

    Surprisingly, even though I didn't expect to like Chicago Fire when it started, I loved it! Same thing happened with Chicago PD. Plus, having Sophia Bush back on my screen is a pleasant bonus!

    This is a fantastic show!
    I love the details they show, like Erin's (Sophia Bush) hand shaking when she came out of the bus. It's a human reaction, which isn't shown enough sometimes after these kinds of situations in other cop shows.
