  1. Well, the poll did predict it, so congratulation to all who voted for Cordelia.

Too bad Misty has to suffer that Hellish hell.

  2. I loved this season! Wanted Misty to be the Supreme, but I'm happy it was Cordelia. And I thought for sure going public was going to end badly but glad it didn't.

Great finale and can't wait for next week!

  3. Madison got what she deserved

  4. Loved this finale so much!

I was rooting for Misty to be the next Supreme but I'm happy that Cordelia won the title! As long as it wasn't Madison, I would have been happy with whoever wins.

Oh shit at Fiona being stuck in her personal hell with the Axeman for the rest of her life.

Overall, this season was very rushed but I'm happy with what we got. Can't wait for next season!

  5. I hated the last fifteen minutes. I would have been happier with a darker twist. I think Fiona should have been able to take over Cordelia's body or something. Or Nan should have come back and taken over as the next Supreme.

  6. At first, I was sort of stumped by how upbeat the ending was. Once I gave it a second thought, I realized this season was the other side of the coin in regards to where Sarah Paulson's character wound up at the end of last season. Right down to the television crew.

Madison's death was also an interesting sorta callback to Frankenstein.

  7. Great finale! The best season of American Horror Story yet, IMHO! Damn........I hated seeing Misty Day die and Zoie was a shocker. Madison was asking for it (long time coming) and she got it all but good (or bad)! Fiona was a "Queen B" to the bitter end..........or eternity! Queenie is just such a "Bad A$$", fearless, and in charge of herself through the whole season. Last but not least.........Fiona may have been the "Coven's Supreme", but Myrtle Snow "The Lady GaGa Witch" was the soul of the coven. Her parting gift to Cordelia was tragic, but a selfless display of love between a mother (Myrtle) and her daughter (Cordelia). 4 A REAL AMERICAN HORROR STORY JUST REWATCH SEASON 3, I am Nobody!!!

  8. I liked this season, and the finale was great, i really liked that Cordelia was the supreme. But S2 is still my favorite!

  9. Sarah Paulson was brilliant tonight

  10. I think this has been the worst season finale of this show, all the magic tricks were lame, and the happy ending even more, I liked the season but not the last 3 episodes.

  11. Ha! I knew it, I called it that Cordelia would be the next supreme. I am so glad Madison has officially died again permanently this time. It was a good finale.

From the comments it looks like people either loved it or hated it, no middle ground. Personally, I loved it, but I really wish Nan came back to life. Great final scene between Cordelia and Fiona.

  13. I was pleased, not amazed as I thought I would be, but pleased. I would've like it for Misty to survive.
But most importantly I know they said no spin-off but I want it, I'd love to see the life at the academy with so many new girls, I also loved Kyle as the butler. Just overall great.

  14. it was awesome, i loved it!
i'm glad Cordelia was the supreme! and i knew Fiona couldn't possibly be dead! but man the way she looked at the end was terrifying!
For a minute there i thought she would take the knife and stab Cordelia with it.
The only thing i didn't like was that Misty died too soon.

  15. Great, thought this was a great ending to my favorite season of the show, especially loved the cold opening.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I have to say Myrtle was the MVP of the last few episodes after she was resurrected...RIP. Jessica Lange was awesome as usual! I knew she wasn't dead!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm still not sure why Queenie was ruled out. I know she couldn't bring Zoe back from the dead but didn't they have another test to go after that? What if Delia failed that one and Queenie passed it then they would have drawn with 6 wonders each?

    ReplyDelete
  18. She could not come back. Papa Legba has her, so they can'y resurect her.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Glad I wasn't the only one who saw the parallel to the interview on The Bloody-Face from the previous season.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ryan Murphy said many things over the years, maybe he'll come around and change his mind.

    ReplyDelete
  21. From what I gathered from last week's episode is that the true Supreme must be able to demonstrate ALL OF THE SEVEN POWERS.

    ReplyDelete
  22. There's a BUNCH of things I'd like to say. But I gotta say that it was plain & awesome foreshadowing at the same time on Delia's part with her screaming "Be careful, girls!" - I knew something would go wrong. Btw in that scene where Kyle stays by her side, I thought she'd somehow be able to bring herself back from the dead. Now THAT WOULD BE A TWIST.

  23. Also, LOL @ Madison saying that Hollywood is a place for normal people.
And I guess Denis O'Hare will be stuck forever cleaning up other people's messes (burying the bodies).
It came to the point where I am not digging it that much. Ryan made sort of stereotypes of his own out of his characters. Next season I'd definitely like to see some more unpredictable casting. (Jessica excluded, she was born to play those cold-bitches.)

  24. I KNEW IT I KNEW IT!!!
I'm so glad Cordelia got to be the Supreme!

  25. It does seem interesting that Murphy seemed to say that was more how it just played out than something that was planned.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I understand why Murphy choose to go down the road he did, it's perfect for everything he believes in, but I must say it was a much weaker finale than I had expected. The last scene with Sarah and Jessica was the only one in that was actually very good, everything else was either predictable or underwhelming.

The other thing that bothered me: one of the reasons why I like AHS is because it doesn't go for the conventional "and they lived happily ever after" finale, which, the way I see it, is precisely what happened this year. I understand that a bunch of people died and the ones who survived, as Cordelia said, "just survived" (and/or suffered a hell of a lot), but at the end of the day it was still a Disney fairytale. Zoey and Kyle stayed together, the underdogs became the rulers and all the bad people died. I don't think it fits the show or the other two seasons, but, again, I can see why Murphy decided to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Once I thought about it, I think it is more that Nan was "over it" when she went on to the afterlife than Papa Legba having any sort of a hold on her.

  28. From a post elsewhere in this discussion -

At first, I was sort of stumped by how upbeat the ending was. Once I
gave it a second thought, I realized this season was the other side of
the coin in regards to where Sarah Paulson's character wound up at the
end of last season. Right down to the television crew.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oops, I meant next season.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yes, I think that's one way of looking at it. And it might be why Murphy decided to do it (not sure, I have yet to read his interviews on that). But, as I said, it doesn't feel right for me. I get this kind of ending from several other TV shows out there. I like to come watch AHS and, as sad as it might be, see the side of the coin that shows awful finales for the good guys, all-mighty powerful bitches getting what they want and the world being a screwed up place. It's not pretty, but it's one of the things AHS was always about. That's why S1 ended with everybody dead and S2 ended with Lana being unable to save anyone from the hospital.

But I can't really say it was a bad plot development, it wasn't. I'm just not overly fond of "underdog goes against all odds, becomes the next big thing" stories. It works, though, and Murphy had the great advantage of having Sarah Paulson play Cordelia, which certainly helped.

  31. That's what I though you meant... ^^
If only next season could be next week............ ._.

  32. As I said before I'm still very disappointed with this season. The acting, some Monologues, and the make-up was amazing but honestly the storylines were horrible. Sometimes I thought I'm watching a disney show with some blood for teenagers.

-people die and they come back!

-people die and they come back!!

-people die and they come back!!!!

    -no character development at all

With you 100% except I thought the whole season was a waste of time. There was no purpose or main story really, look back at the first or second season, there was an overall storyline, a purpose. All this season it was random events that these "witches" were involved in, it felt like a waste of time. The show is also called American HORROR Story not BORING story, every time i thought things were about to get exciting they just fell flat. The murder house crepped me out, Bloddy Face scared the shit outta me & I LOVE witches so i was super excited about this season & all it turned out to be was another steaming pile of Ryan Murphy losing interest in a show he's created after its 2nd season.

  34. I knew Cordelia was going to be the supreme... and so many people tried to tell me I was wrong. :)
It was a good ep, IMO, but I was so sad what they did to Misty. To be forever in Hell and then her body turn to dust? I was also really disturbed how Madison died... I mean, I didn't like her but her pleading and crying like that really got to me. All in all though I'm very happy with the season! Can't wait for season 4!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I agree it was less 'horror' this year but it was more subtle horror, not scary. I thought that Papa was scary and the 'horror' of Madame Delphine should have been played on/seen more as that was disturbed. towards the end it did loose its horror streak but they try to balance the level of human horror vs out right scary and creepy. We will see what happens with season 4. the good thing about this show is that this season is over and we can all start a fresh season 4.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Definitely hope so, even if the management is not the same I'd love to see life at the academy.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I Seriously dont have words for it, it was everything that i expected i LOVED IT!
Torwards the end i was like this http://static.tumblr.com/v1asjlx/CEmlqme87/other_preach_gif.gif

One thing i have to say, i noticed that teh exact moment when Madison Dies was the moment Cordelia could bruing back Zoe backl to life so that makes me think that the real Supreme was Zoe and the moment she died she transfered her powers to the next aka Cordelia!

Also that reminder of season two with the interview ! was great...

this may not be the best season but i enjoyed it!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I liked it a lot, especially the deaths involved, but I really wish we got a complete end to the Spalding and Madison storyline. It's only in the interview later we learn she's his doll now. We should've been shown that, not told. But whatevs.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I thought it was a good ending to an uneven season. Bummed that Misty Day died and that she is stuck in her personal hell forever. Madison got what she deserved, she had it a long time coming.

One thing that really bugged me though is how many witches there were in the end. I thought they were a dying race? And if there were really that many out there all this time, how come Zoe was the only one found by Myrtle?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think it was a good idea that went wrong at the end, the resolution of the matters were simple, I was expecting a bittersweet ending like it happened in season 1 and 2, like Fiona killing everyone and recovering her strength and power but finding herself all alone after that, I don't know, something better than a new x men academy of witches.

    ReplyDelete
  41. yeah, is she in hell forever? Why? Is every witch doomed to go to hell? I know she killed the guys in the swamp, but she was a good person. Can anybody explain to me why Cordelia's mother went to hell and Spalding and the serial killer left on earth as ghosts? And what happened to the little baby Marie stole from the hospital?

  42. My Vote
    SUPRIME!!!!

    I LOVE THIS SHOW
    Great finale!!!

  43. I agree! Very disappointed Season! The Last 2 Seasons were much better! Hopefully they wont put out this kind of crap for Season 4

    ReplyDelete
  44. It was a great finale. The season as a whole was very hit it or miss it for me. While nowhere near as good as Asylum for me (I still miss it!), it was still good. I felt the storylines were a bit too disjointed and spinning during the season though. I love Jessica Lange as much as everyone but Fiona was doing the same thing over and over every episode, it was just boring after a while. I also never got into the Marie Laveau storyline. Missy Day was underused all the time. My main problem though is that my two favorite actors on the franchise, Sarah Pauson and Evan Peters, were criminally underused the whole season. That was a serious problem for me. This being said, they did redeem themselves a bit with the awesome finale which focused on the core characters and which gave Paulson a chance to shine, I adore that woman! Evan Peters had no such luck, but well, maybe next year!

That is exactly what i was referring to! I stopped watching Glee after the second season because it got so bad. He also was behind Nip/Tuck which was awesome for the first two seasons & then slowly declined.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Misty is stuck in Hell because the challenge was to descend into a realm of afterlife and RETURN. She got lost in her own hell and couldn't escape it. Fiona went to Hell because she was an awful person. I think Spalding's family is enchanted to serve the coven, and that may be why his spirit has lingered.. He's the last of his kind.

  47. I actually loved the ending. It was very empowering and a real statement about standing together. Such a flip from the bleakness of the beginning of the season. It reminded me of the series finale of Buffy in many ways. Any show that can make me compare it to Joss Whedon endearingly gets an A.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Now that you mentioned it, the exact same thing happened with Glee: season 3 sucked because Murphy apparently lost interest in the show. Anyway, I'll keep watching this for as long as Jessica Lange is on my screen, but she already said S4 will be her last, so they better step up their game next year.

    ReplyDelete
  49. i blame the 'stereotypes' on the actors. the only one I felt that was so unfresh and played the same role was Taissa(zoe).. it was virtually violet from Season 1. everyone else from seasons before acted as someone new.
