  1. Wow, The Good Wife won Favorite Network TV Drama, and Josh Charles got Favorite Network TV Actor? I am honestly surprised! I like the way some of these awards turned out!

    ReplyDelete
  2. Are these all the categories?

    ReplyDelete
  3. EmbraceYourInnerFreak9 January 2014 at 06:38

So happy for Castle and Stana! Yay!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Just the TV categories. There were a bunch in movies and music, too.

    ReplyDelete
  5. surprised Reign got an award. Those kids voted their a*s off. I mean I like the show I'm just surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Complete Stranger9 January 2014 at 07:27

    Congrats, Beauty and the Beast!

No surprise there, Beasties really are the champions of poll voting! ,-)

    ReplyDelete
  7. In that world Lucy Hale is a good actress? Worse, winning the Claire Danes and Maggie Smith

    ReplyDelete
  8. I know I'm courting a crapstorm, but I don't see Sam figuring into a bromance situation with Castiel. Dean, certainly. And Dean and Cas. It just seems if it's going to win in that category, it should be all the way around, with all parties involved.

I'm a bit puzzled by Rick Grimes as a TV Anti-Hero. An anti-hero would be like The Governor in those two episodes this season when he was pretending to be Brian. Rick is a Hero hero. Sure, he makes mistakes and goes crazy, but that's not the definition of an anti-hero.

    ReplyDelete
  9. How did Damon/Elena win on-screen chemistry? I think it's actually gone downhill the past two seasons. I think Katherine/Stefan have far better chemistry. I've never really understood why Ian always wins these things and not Paul though.

    ReplyDelete
  10. There are no words for this silliness. This is what comes when 14 year old's have and internet connection and poll voting rights. What did anyone expect?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wow I'm so surprised Reign beat out Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Betrayal, The Blacklist, Dracula, Hostages,Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, The Originals, Sleepy Hollow, and The Tomorrow People! I think it's getting better and better but it never seems to have such a big following!? Heres hoping this will get it another season then!

    ReplyDelete
  12. wow I can't believe we made it (B&TB), even though I don't feel actually happy, that's a great accomplishment to the fans and I needed it to congratulate you all.

    ReplyDelete
  13. disqus_BLvd5NQY3F9 January 2014 at 08:09

how did AOS not winning best new drama........there is more than enough fans to win it? and beside SH it not exactly the best choices

    ReplyDelete
  14. How Sam/Dean/Cas counts as a bromance I will never know. I guess you could chose to ignore Sam in that quite easily and say that people were just voting for the Dean/Cas part.
I can see why they chose not to invite Jared and Jensen to the ceremony.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I enjoy the show but its ratings cant be ignored, its a bubble show that may not make a second season I'm more confident it will than wont but still theres always the chance it may collapse or the new shows may out rate it and pip it to the schedule next season.

    ReplyDelete
  16. How come arrow didn't win anything?this season the show is on fire.surprised reign won over the originals!!definitely didn't see that coming.happy for reign fans though!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. in the world where Calre Danes and Maggie Smith fans couldnt be bothered to nominate or vote for them and Lucy Hale's fans did. The People's (VOTERS) Choice.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I agree with your first paragraph and I have to say I'm slightly confused at the Anti-hero thing, can someone please explain it to me?

    ReplyDelete
  19. It's developed a pretty big (by CW standards) following on tumblr and twitter. A lot more people seem to be discovering the show as well based on tumblr.

    ReplyDelete
  20. the unlimited voting system has ensured these awards will never be taken seriously

    ReplyDelete
  21. Fans of CW shows are more likely to vote for these kind of awards so its no suprise that you see CW shows that have relatively small viewerships (in the US and abroad comparatively) win so many awards.

    ReplyDelete
  22. cant imagine you would feel particularly happy given that the show is basically cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Arrow fans didnt vote?
Reign fans voted more than TO fans?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I loved the awards tonight. It was so funny. Nian's bit was hilarious, i was surprised they went there. And when Ellen made that comment about Oprah, and tried to go on stage with Justin Timberlake i laughed so hard. lol The opening sequence was really funny too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wow, over react much? 1: He offered legitimate theories for why Arrow and The Originals didn't win and 2: You do not get to say 'mind your own business' when you ask an open ended question like that.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Because they got more votes?:) Oh, and because the BatB pair wasn´t competing in that category, otherwise surely they would take it!
Anyway, for me it´ll always be Rick/Kate from Castle:)

    ReplyDelete
  27. in a award show where lucy hale wins best actress award, legitimate theories doesn't work much, don't you think? besides that's not the point,i was sad arrow didn't win.i never said others shouldn't win.can't i be a little dissappointed for my show or do i have to get your permission for that-guess not!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Gloat while you can i guess considering may cancellation is coming.By this time next year,Batb will be a distant memory.Agree about the castle pairing though, love them!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I am really happy for Castle, Stana and also The Good Wife and Josh Charles.
Stana was fantastic ... her dress can be discussed but hell, this woman can wear a potato sack and will look great.

But I really have to say that the show itself was absolute crappy. I mean Stana got her award backstage, best crime tv show wasnt even announced - like many other categories too. It sucked, really sucked. They just cut after let's say 2 hours BUT had lots of comedy-show-acts (nobody needed, some of them werent even funny and they were MUCH too long) and tons of commercial breaks even more than the Academy Awards ....

    ReplyDelete
  30. Uhh, seriously, dude, calm down. Legitimate theories do work. The theory was that fans of Arrow didn't vote for whatever reason. Nowhere did either of us say you weren't allowed to be disappointed.

Here's the thing, so am I. So calm down, I'm *on your side* as far as preferring those shows to win. I like BOTH Arrow and The Originals, and wish they would have won. You asked why they didn't, tvmonkey gave a possible answer. No one is attacking anyone except for you, attacking the people answering your question.

Question was: Why didn't Arrow win?

Answer was: The many fans of Arrow didn't vote.

Where, in any of that, is an attack? Where is anyone saying you need permission to be disappointed? Are you even reading what's being said, or are you just imagining some attack instead?

Nowhere in either of our comments is anything that even hints that you're wrong for being disappointed or that you 'need permission' for anything. All there was were answers to your questions, that's it. No attack. You are imagining it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Guess i am more angry at the arrow fans who didn't vote,it's not your fault.Sorry for the freakout!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Catherine Chandler9 January 2014 at 09:29

So proud that BatB and Kristin Kreuk both won

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's okay, it's easy to get upset. Honestly, the fact that People's Choice Awards allow unlimited votes makes it an unfair determination of the most liked show. It's more an indication of which show's fans have little better to do than continually vote.

    ReplyDelete
  34. A lot of these people and shows actually deserved it. Stana Katic and Castle, Joseph Morgan, Kaley and Big Bang Theory, Rachel and Santana.

Oh, and Kat and Beth killed it this year.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wow, they really don't like non CBS people to accept awards. overall not badly done, not too cringe worthy but please next time allow them to talk.

So happy for Stana and Castle and most of the other winners. So proud that Stana made time to thank the fans for voting, very sweet of her.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Damon and Elena more like worst chemistry, they lost all the chemistry they had and now it's terrible

    ReplyDelete
  37. So very proud of our fandom's dedication to Beauty and the Beast! Congrats to @cwbatb, Kristin and all our Beasties who voted tirelessly. Wish we could have heard PCAs announce our wins on the show.

    ReplyDelete
  38. You have to understand that the fans voted for them because of Nina and Ian, not because of the characters. They think they will get back together.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Or put another way, kids that don't have jobs living in mom's basement. lol

    ReplyDelete
  40. Not from me I agree with your first paragraph .I admit I voted for the Big Bang gang in that one .

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well, BatB's fandom is one dedicated engine, and I guess that's a good thing.

And, this is going to sound insulting, but is not; not really; It's a legitimate question of mine. The consensus, from critics, is that BatB ranges from mediocre to unexceptional. The ratings are not the best and the show is in danger of cancellation.

My question is, why is the fandom so passionate about this show? I mean, what's the element of the show that make people go "this is my fave"?

    ReplyDelete
  42. A lot of my shows won I'm so happy.

    Congratulations:

    *The Big Bang Theory team.
    *The bada** Stana Katic.
    *The fun girl Kaley Cuoco.
    *The talented Sarah Michelle Gellar.
    *Castle team.
    *Psych team.
    *The lovely Kristin Kreuk.
    *Beauty and the Beast team.

  43. sixseasonsandamovie9 January 2014 at 11:42

Surprised that The Good Wife won 2 categories on a popular vote award.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think it will go steady and get renewed for a 2nd season, Even though this current situation reminds a lot of Secret Circle, now the protagonists parent will be introduced. I think they should introduce some solid cast additions to atract some new viewers and keep on with the solid writing a 2nd season is a must.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Beauty and the Beast won both awards against bigger fandoms *.* Beasties are awesome

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think you got the wrong impression from my post about BatB...I´m not a fan of the show, not even close, so no, I´m not "gloating"! My comment was because they have an invested fanbase who vote nonstop for anything BatB related!:)

    ReplyDelete
  47. watch it and you will know.
you just want them to be happy (Vincent and Catherine) and you are on a emotional rollercoaster all time tin season 2 with them.
For me, it was the chemistry of Jay and Kristin in first season what made me hooked and I will fight for this show till it is official gone.
Don't understand why everybody is always hating against is. Not being a fan is totally fine but hating against a fandom is just childish and rude from some person...

    ReplyDelete
  48. did I bash a show or your whining that Arrow didnt win? No I simply suggested why Arrow didnt win. Please grow up.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Just wish Tomorrow People would have one too :_( I really love this show and it's getting better and better.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I didn't notice any "irritation" in his comment.

    ReplyDelete
  51. and not the first time this has happened too. Castle has been similarly snubbed for the past 3 yrs! Only last yr was Nathan Fillion given the chance to accept an award on stage.

    ReplyDelete
  52. what does that mean?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Since we're talking profession now,let me tell u i'm a doctor and own my own house.what about you, probably the same description you gave for me perhaps.no need to get so personal in a comments section.everything is written on account of fictional shows, let's keep it that way, shall we?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Wow, I was not answering your comment, I was talking about people that have nothing better to do than repeat voting. If you are a doctor, check your meds, you are VERY defensive about nothing. BTW I DO own my own home and spend my money rehabbing orphan squirrels and releasing back into the wild.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Congratulations to Beauty and the Beast, and to Kristin Kreuk. Two well-deserved wins.

    ReplyDelete
  56. The Mentalist should have won.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I just dont get it why the stereotype for an active fan of a show to be a teenager/nerd living in mom's basement just because they vote multiple times, Ive read that since I became fan of a show, people is just passionate about different things in life doesnt necessarily have to be certain profession or certain age. Im a 39 yr. old, company manager and mother of 3 and I voted my ass off for BATB because is a show I care and Im invested about, its the best show out there, NO! has the best ratings: NO! Has the best actors: NO! Will be renewed: Not sure! But I like it and I invest my time however I want to, Beasties rank from teenagers to grandmothers and we have guys lots of guys too. Dont stereotype it just makes people look dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  58. If that's the case,i'm really sorry.i totally misunderstood your comment.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I didn't stereotype it,some do.Suppose a show like breaking bad loses a poll to batb, that is absurd.no matter how vote batb gets, one will always want a superior show to win.but now-a-days,that's not happening.poll after poll, all the great shows gets knocked down,it doesn't make any sense to me,cannot say about others.that's my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  60. When people leave bitterness aside probably you will understand that people choice awards is not about popularity or ratings or quality or being the best, its about how dedicated a FANBASE is to get their show, actor, actress to win an award among all of the other fanbases. Im not biased about BATB and I know the show has flaws and maybe thats why its in predictable cancellation now but one thing I will give it up THIS SHOW has one of the best fandoms I have ever been part of, we are not only loud we make it happen and I congratulate beasties around the world that make this happen. We roared and we roared louder (by the way fandom is all ages, all professional careers, all genders and all around the world) YOU GUYS DESERVE IT!!!! keep roaring til this is over!

    ReplyDelete
  61. But for that you have the golden globes the emmys etc. this is PEOPLE CHOICE AWARDS, it is absurd to read comments about how upset people are about the awards given to certain people/shows when what these awards are measured for is the consistency and the dedication of a fanbase its an award given from the fans to the show/actor nothing more.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I think everyone likes different shows for different reasons...I personally hate that agents of shield show but that's cause I don't like that sort of show at all, I don't like reality rubbish either. Lots of people said that supernatural should have won but from where I live more people like BATB and downloaded because we are not in the USA to watch live. Lots of people stopped watching supernatural that i have spoken to for the same reason I did, all the stop starting of episodes it got confusing and then I missed a few eps cause i didn't know it was back and gave up. The crime shows like castle etc are easy watching with different cases every week, if you miss one its no worries, so its easier for them. Anyway my point is...shows may have bad live viewing figures but that is not a true reflection, the amount of people who download it or watch online from around the world paint a different picture. If they sold merchandise worldwide or they allowed people outside the USA to download or watch online through the proper channels it would be different. I'm not going to shout and scream that you should watch it, it's up to you. I like it(not my favourite show) but that's my opinion :) I do believe that you should only be allowed to vote a limited number of times though! Finally what I don't like are the freaks hiding behind their computers being down right nasty about a show instead of constructive criticism...lots of people are working hard to produce a show for our entertainment..have a bit of respect for that.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The fact remains that it would be a better voting system if one person could only vote one time. If EVERYONE could only vote one time, we'd get different and more accurate results.

    ReplyDelete
  64. An anti-hero is someone who often does the wrong things for the right reasons, or the right things for the wrong reasons. Someone who is villainous or, at the very least, selfish and scheming, but with moments of heart and compassion.

Rick is a hero, even if he's a dunce at times, so I'm not sure how he got in this category, but if it meant Andrew Lincoln won something, I don't care.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Well this seemed like a giveaway after the awards didn't want to put Dean and Cas in the chemistry category. I agree that they are not a bromance, none of them, but I'm glad J2M won something. I think this is Misha's first award as Cas.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Arrow has a lot of fans but they don't seem as active as fans of other shows.

    ReplyDelete
  67. This is why I chose not to watch this year. I did the last few years because I often liked the hosts (Queen Latifah, Kaley Cuoco), but the 2 Broke Girls are just crass.

    ReplyDelete
  68. So was I. I guess this season has really built their fanbase. I'm glad Josh Charles won something - I loved him in Threesome, and he's the only one in the main cast who hasn't self-destructed, so good for him.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Ha! Exactly! May be they could change the title just to be clear. Kids Livng in Mom's Basement's Choice Awards, KLIMsBsCA 2014. lol

    ReplyDelete
  70. This actually reminds me more of Batb than Secret circle. No way Reign stays above a .6 come spring. And if they renew it, it'll almost certainly drop.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I 100% agree with both of your posts and if I could have given you multiple up votes, I would have. The 2BG's were not only not funny, they were painful to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'm older than you and I'm an active mom of 2, I also voted my ass off for my show at PCA. Unlike you I totally understand that teenagers/nerd ARE the ones that can vote the most all along the days and nights for theirs ships or theirs shows. That's not an insult against BATB or any other fandoms or any kind of stereotypes to say about the PCA unlimited votes that it favored these votes.
That doesn't bother me at all to like a show that a lot of teenagers like.
And unlike you I DON'T say that the show I care about the most is THE BEST OUT THERE. I'm perfectly aware it's simply the best for me and not for you, mate.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Cant believe the hate being aimed at #BatB YES we know we are struggling for season 3 but if u dont like the fact we won fair and square and not trying to use TweetDeck like a certain fandom.Next year try voting like crazy if your show was on the verge of cancellation no doubt you would vote and fight til the end!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Totally agree with you. That's just not the main purpose of the PCA. In my opinion they don't care at all about the accuracy, they just care about promoting.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Yep. What a shame.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Stana's award is very well deserved and the most meritorious of the night, she is not on every cover of magazines around the globe and she is not in the big artist's agency, as another actresses are. But Stana has the most important thing, the love of people. She is really popular and not an invention of the press, as another actresses are.

    ReplyDelete
  77. well said I am 38 years old and in my first fandom since high school and I am so pleased #BatB and KK won.The show is brilliant and it deserves so much more recognition then it gets.Tv is not just about live tv ratings I just hope we get a 3rd season and see how the changes to the rating system later this year will change things for our show!! Well done #BatB and Kristin

    ReplyDelete
  78. What do you mean "didn't want to put them in the category"? I thought only romantic couples were put into the chemistry category. Dean and Cas aren't romantically involved, they're friends. So they either weren't put into that category for that reason or simply because they actually didn't get enough votes.

But I agree, there is no three-way bromance. Sam would only be in a "bromacnce" with Dean, not Cas. Every time Castiel appears on the screen, Sam either disappears or has very little to do with the conversation. It bothers me a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Exactly. I didn't vote for them. I don't think anyone was voting for the three because it's not even real. There were people probably voting for Dean/Cas and people for Sam/Dean.

I said this in an above comment, but it's like every time Castiel appears, the writers think of a way for Sam to vanish or he has very little to do and say in the scene. Just my opinion, but this bothers me.

    ReplyDelete
  80. If you want to know why, then watch it. Form your own opinion, leave your preconceived notions at the door and watch with an open mind. Season 1 starts slow so be patient. But once it kicks in....well, I'm nearly 40 and have NEVER been so invested in a show. And quite honestly, I can't see another show even come close to how much I love this show. But hey, never say never right?? ;). Try it. You might get it.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Oh, verry well said Claudia, Thank you for that tv monkey is nothing but a serious troll lurking about just to spew dribble about BATB, we're realist we know what's going on, and we're going to enjoy, this show and this awesome fandom ppl are gonna hate on the love this show receives, let's continue to enjoy it as long as it's here and continue to support each other!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. The ratings system wont be changed anytime soon. It would require years to actually develop a new system. And as long as the networks and advertisers are satisfied not much will change. Advertisers only care if you watch their adds and if you aren't a Nielsen household you actually cant really help your show to improve your favorite shows ratings. The "Twitter ratings" measured by Nielsen, can be used only as PR fluff for networks.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Why is that absurd?! And who are you to decide one show is superior to another?! That's your OPINION. Not fact.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Most fandoms know that at least we all know the reason to win an award is for the PROMOTION of the show you like.

    ReplyDelete
  85. If our fandom is invested enough to win TWO PCA awards, don't you think we know what's going on with its ratings?! My enjoyment and passion for the show is not hingent on its renewal!! We don't need you reminding us it's in danger. We KNOW! Just like you don't need us to remind you that you'r a tool. Cause you KNOW.

    ReplyDelete
  86. you are absolutely right. It's said that they just stopped after 2h .... its unbelievable.

    ReplyDelete
  87. No offence but shocked that BATB, Reign and Super Fun Night won the awards, I thought TVD, The Originals and The Crazy Ones would've/should've won.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Pleasantly surprised!

    ReplyDelete
  89. You censored the word "badass", lol.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Dont know about your fandom, this year I was busy at work didnt vote as much as I wished for, but in BATB fandom we dont have that many teenage fans as in other fandoms this is not twilight or TVD, I know for a fact since I run a FB page for International fans that most beasties are +20 ranging to 70 or 80 years old and those are the most passionate when it comes to voting, I just dont say things because I read them somewhere and then speculate about, its because I know its a fact despite many posters in here and also I HAVE NEVER said BATB is the best show out there, I watch shows from GOT, Vikings, TWD, Masters of Sex, to Brittish dramas but none Im more passionate about than with BATB so is my personal favorite not the best one out there. And as long as I have time Ill do what I can to promote (PCA, Polls etc.) until the end.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Yes, exactly...

    ReplyDelete
  92. This is a awful world :(

    ReplyDelete
  93. please tell me you did not just say that batb is better than breaking bad!! even you cannot be that blind for a show!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. She actually wrote 'its the best show out there, NO!', so she didn't say that it's the best show.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Reign is a good show, give it a chance. Also, no show is superior to the other, its all subjective. The winners of the awards was based on the dedication of the fans.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Agree. Rick has gone through hell because he cares about people. He's a hero in my book. I don't know who was nominated in this category, but I would have chosen Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, or Don Draper. But it is good to see Andrew Lincoln being recognized, even if wrongly.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Me too. But I think they treatet Stana really bad! "Thank the People Quick and Present the next act "?? Strange.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Britney spears won Im happy! lol the PCA are always the most easy to guess award the winner are always the ones attending the ceremony! my favorites won! Happy to see Reign winning!

    ReplyDelete
  99. I think it will survive if they give some solid outings. There is the 100th vd ep which can boost their raitings if played right. I mean they need to perform stealller. I never watched BATB but I heard they have a big fandom what this pca award confirms.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Haha yeah I'm not comfortable using bad words no matter how mild they are or even if they were intended as a compliment but in Stana's case I searched for another word to describe her but none gave the same meaning LOL

    ReplyDelete
  101. EmbraceYourInnerFreak9 January 2014 at 19:34

Well, the whole show was crappy, the hosts were just annoying and so not funny. Plus the people out there voted like crazy for their favorites but some winners weren't even announced or got their award backstage. That's just lame.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I wouldn't rule out The Originals, I think that would've finished 2nd

    ReplyDelete
  103. That's the thing, I gave it the 5 episode "trial run" and just couldn't go any further. I think it just isn't for me.

But my question still stands. The BatB fandom is really a, well, BEAST, in terms of passion. You guys get shit done like woah; and that's the thing. What's about the show that garners such a involved fanbase?

    ReplyDelete
  104. I get that, that's not what I'm really getting at.

My question is why a show like BatB (who can be considered very average in overall terms, like, most shows) garners such a passionate fanbase.

That's the disconnect that baffles me.

  105. I gave it the 5 epi trial run, and it was, to my terms, mediocre and uniamginative.

But I really think I should actually bite the bullet and watch the whole thing. Like, I NEED to understand why the fandom of this show is such a powerhouse.

    ReplyDelete
  106. It was about chemistry. There was no rule that it was about canon couples, from what I remember. They got tons of support before the nominations were announced. I think the network just didn't really want to deal with the idea.

  107. Maybe is not that into you, BATB is one of those shows that gets in your vain or it doesnt since the beginning, And to be honest with you, I was more connected to BATB in season 1 than I am in season 2, but I still love the fandom because we connected, always is fun when you are fighting for an under dog.... so maybe thats what it is! Also, the show may have low ratings in the USA but the fandom is worldwide !

  108. I figured it was couples of romantic interests because everyone on the list of nominations was. I would have voted for Dean and Sam if I thought it was different. I guess I figured it was like an unwritten rule.

Still, I don't think Dean and Cas got enough votes, it can seem like a lot of support but not actually be as much as it seems. It was a very loud section of the fandom, but it doesn't necessarily mean it was huge or that they outvoted the other choices. Other choices got more votes. It's like so many people were saying Jensen was going to win, he had a lot support just someone else had more.

  109. I get your point and I get that you are passionate about BATB. I understand what you are saying about YOUR fandom and that you don't have many teenagers. And I was wrong about you saying your show is the best show, I see it now, sorry for that.
I still disagree with you, the ones who have time to vote the most in these awards -allowing unlimited votes- are teenagers and this is not a stereotype but a fact.
And I don't know what's so wrong about it that so many people are saying that in their fandoms there are no many teenagers, as if it was a bad thing.

    ReplyDelete
  110. My bad! I see it now, thank you. :-)

  111. BATB has such a strong fanbase, at least online. I think they also wanted to show the CW or the show their support. Some woman on Twitter voted 2 million times apparently?

    ReplyDelete
  112. I don't think they necessarily would have won, but I felt like someone just didn't even want them in the category at all.

As for Jensen, I knew he wouldn't win, because of vote-splitting.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I was watching with my sisters and literally screamed "WHAT?!?!" when the announcer said The Good Wife. I was very pleasantly surprised, and the awards were certainly well deserved... but the rest of the room full of Grey's Anatomy fans was disappointed haha

  114. I think it was made stronger over time with all the horrible comments......Ive seen negative ones in my time but this show has had I think the worst bullying type comments I've read. I have seen 3 or 4 users really bully somebody for simply saying they like the show. These people have even gone out of their way to go onto the polls about rating that weeks BATB episode just to say they don't watch it and then be really nasty about it. The group have come together and recruited people worldwide to make a stand & good for them!!

  115. Oh yeah, I knew Jensen wouldn't win for the same reason. I kept seeing people that were so confident that he was going to win, because of apparently a lot of tumblr support and multiple trendings on Twitter. It just shows that just because something had a lot of support, doesn't mean as many people voted. And just because a lot of people said they voted, doesn't mean they voted endless times (this goes for the Jensen thing and the Dean/Cas one). It was all about how many times people voted, not about how many individuals actually did. That's why I don't really care for this award show. It's about extreme dedication, not really popularity.
If they did get enough votes to be nominated, the only reason they wouldn't make the list was because it was specifically for romantic interests. I think a lot of people only voted knowing this was a couples category, because they saw Dean and Cas as a romantic couple, which just isn't canon, despite what some people tend to claim they see.
But I honestly don't think it got enough votes (even if it wasn't romantic interests only), because not the entire Supernatural fandom would vote for them, a section voted for Sam and Dean too.
Anyway, thanks for having a civil conversation with opposing opinions. It's hard to find in this fandom, some people just get really nasty!

  116. Only really cared and voted for Joseph Morgan so happy to see others did too! He deserves more recognition and I'm so happy for him, but he should have had the opportunity to come up on stage and give his speech. There's no reason why every category shouldn't have had air time on the actual show (they certainly had time for it -- cut out the lame skits between presenters and the music performances). Extremely disappointed in PCA for only airing what they deem to be the most important categories.

  117. What constitute a good actress? Personally for me if she plays her part well, and I enjoy her performance and love her character then she is a good actress. This is a People's choice not Oscar and for once its the fans that get to express their opinion ad choose. Oscar is over rated, name me the best film of last year, or how about the best actress/actor? I bet most cant or care to remember. So get off your high horse, its elegatarian not elitism that rules.
    So, GO Lucy!!

  118. PCAs are fans voting in the categories. So popular characters or actors tend to win. Ian Somerholder is the more popular person on TVD, from what I gathered via osmosis. I don't watch the show, I just know 99% of my friends who post about it talk about Ian/Damon.

  119. LOL because you keep saying it, that only teenagers have the time to do multiple voting, as I said in my previous post I run a FB page and I kind of keep track of the fans that tell me they are doing the multiple voting and cant remember having teenagers posting about it, well at least as I said Beasties age average is up to +20. Just out of curiosity whats your fandom?

    ReplyDelete
  120. LoL Do you want a list of teenagers posting about Captain Swan?? There's a lot! :-)
I keep saying it because I see a lot of teenagers, tweeting about a lot of shows including mine & yours.
So are you saying that teenagers haven't more time that adults that are working all the day long?

  121. I started watching around ep 10. It got me hooked within a few eps so I went back to the beginning. IMO there was a big difference going from ep 10 to the pilot. Honestly I would say ep 1-5 were just ok, then 5-8 were better, then around ep 9 things get really good!! But even tho the first part of the season was flawed and kinda slow, in hindsight I really enjoy them because they gave us some really good ground work for the characters and my personal favourite....VinCat.

  122. I was surprised but happy for Reign!! Shocked by Super Fun Night and B&TB. I have watched both of those shows and couldn't get into their stories or acting. They could do so much more with Rebel Wilson.
Joseph Morgan is the man! I love everything about that guy except his taste in women.

  123. I got your point. I was once a ONCER first season only and then BATB came along and got stuck in it, to be honest I see a lot of teenagers in that fandom, but we cant stereotype all fandoms the same. For my experience of one and a half year I can tell you beasties are all ages and I know some ladies (for a fact) +60 yrs old, grandmothers retired they voted 1 million times and like that we have a lot in the fandom thats how devoted we are to this show, I know it sounds crazy but you will be amaze of the comradery we have. :)

    ReplyDelete
  124. Well I think you just get hooked or not. I just saw the first episode and was totally in love with Vincat, specially of course with Vincent. I love Jay Ryan and couldn't wait to see there journey.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Unlimited voting. just takes a few hard core fans to repeat vote for days, you might think that it would take a lot of votes but there are hard core fans that would do it.

I do watch BATB but i have to say the story is getting old.

    ReplyDelete
  126. yes Stana deserved the award and Castle too, she is amazing and Castle is one of the best shows on TV

  127. So happy for Reign!!! its awesome that a great show like that won, they are very deserving of it.I voted for them and screamed when I saw Torrance coombs and Adelaide can(Mary and Bash) with they're award.

    ReplyDelete
  128. By the way not all Reign fans are kids.I'm 23 and definitely not a child and I know a good show when I see it and it most certainly doesn't fall into the same category as the secret circle..that was a horrible show. And the cast of Reign are mostly grown ups and way better actors.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I think Reign is an incredible show. They have story, they have good actors... I hope Reign wins a 2nd season, because they deserve that.

    ReplyDelete
  130. against shows with more viewers not necessarily bigger online fandoms, a lot of viewers don't frequent the net they just watch their shows and forget about them till the next episode.

OMG cry me a river! You and your bitterness reminding everybody that BatB will be cancelled...Gosh everybody knows it might be on its way for cancellation because of ratings even beasties, thats why they are voting their asses off until the end, so when did you become a CW executive to shut fans down of their expectations for the continuity of their show? Every post I see of you reminds of the bitterness in the world, Just give the beasties a break while it last for God sake, we got it you dont like the show!

    ReplyDelete
  132. I'm expressing my opinion and never bashed any show for winning.why are you getting so irritated? mind your own business!!

    ReplyDelete
  133. I think that AOS and Sleepy Hollow ended up splitting the vote and so another show (Reign) won.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Only care for The Good Wife, the other results were pretty predictable as they usually are with the PCA
