“Hostages certainly had its challenges, but we stuck with it and we let the show have its run,” Tassler told TVLine. She then said that she “absolutely” would consider any pitches from the producers for a second run, almost assuredly featuring a new cast and premise.
“We’re always going to be open” to that possibility, Tassler told us. “The reason the show didn’t work is not because of the form, it is not because it was a serialized thriller.”

A new storyline/cast is a good idea to keep a show fresh. or go down the AHS route.
ReplyDeleteExactly, if they're going to change everything, it might as well be a new show, it's clearly not meant to be an anthology like AHS.
ReplyDeleteBut if the renewal happens as Tassler says, wouldn't it be a whole new show?
ReplyDeleteAlso, seeing the numbers I don't think it's a good choice
This will not be happening, it's PR spin.
ReplyDeleteThey should have picked a better name. I liked the first 6 episodes, after that they introduced that contrived conspiracy plot and it wasn't really about the Sanders family being held as hostages anymore.
