Danny Cannon has been tapped to direct and executive produce the pilot for Fox’s high-profile comic book drama Gotham, from Warner Bros. TV and The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller.
well for those interested: he directed three episodes of TTP (including the pilot), various CSI and Nikita episodes. Plus he directed the Alcatraz pilot.
But most notably he did Judge Dredd (the Stalong original).
I'm still not too sure about the show, I mean...if you want a show about Batman just do it, I know Warner refuses to do so but I don't see that kind of show working in that universe.
on the one hand I'm confused about the entire concept but his track record (more specifically the fact that he made Judge Dredd, one of my favourite cheesy action flicks) does give me some hope. What he did so far isn't high quality crime stuff and rather action heavy. Probably more what DC needs than Nolan-esque griitiness
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

That's not really a good track record.
