At a TCA panel Monday afternoon, Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly confirmed plans for the remainder of this season of Glee to be set entirely in New York.
When it comes to cast breakdowns for the big New York move, Reilly wasn’t specific, but seemed to own that there would be shakeups. “Some are going to be graduating and moving; creatively, it would be ridiculous that everybody moves to New York,” he said. “There will be some that will graduate and move on and they’ll arc back in when we do special episodes. They’ll always be a part of it… But for this season, there will be a graduation, several of the cast members will move on and a few others will go to New York.”

Hmmm this could either be really good or really bad
ReplyDeleteRatings have not been great and Ryan Murphy has always said rachel is the star. I think if he had his way it would have always been new york but the studio wanted to play it safe with new students
ReplyDeleteI stopped watching this show 'cause they tried to remain in Lima and make another Rachel, another Finn, another Puck, another Quinn.
ReplyDeleteThey should have made Rachel, Finn, Kurt and Santana the only stars and forget about Lima... That literaly broke the show. :S
About time!
ReplyDeleteI think moving the show to NY is the best move to make.
ReplyDeleteWith ratings already bad its a risk worth taking at this stage. The new class in Lima just dont work and I dont know about anyone else but I feel like moving to NY and following several older members of the cast move through their life journey was the most natural step in the first place in terms of progression of the show. Rachel/Kurt/Santana are the most interested characters and have the most potential storywise. I assume they will add Blaine, Sam and Arti to that and let the rest go. I'd like a more gorwn up show. Adding a few new reccuring characters to the group will help. At this stage I dont think it could hurt for them to try.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping Adam Lambert becomes a regular for S6 and some of the original cast moves to New York as well.
