  1. I wonder how Revolution v. Parenthood plays out when you consider the factor that especially now Revolution has much more competition in its slot than Parenthood does.

Also if Chicago PD keeps slipping--does Revolution and Parenthood both have a chance for survival?

  2. I was really looking forward to see TTP in summer and i like the show, but still its not as amazing as i expected. I probably expected better storyline or sth. And for me main actor is big disadvantage , i just think he cant act. But i feel like its improving so i hope it will continue so we can have at least one good season.

  3. Reign still might not even make the cut either. I watched both pilots and Reign was by far the better. I stuck with Reign and dropped TTP.

  4. I went into the show with high hopes and was utterly disappointed. Theres just something about it that doesnt click, and I agree about the acting not good.

  5. I think TTP had a couple of issues. The actor who plays Stephen never caught me, nor did his character. The John character and actor had far more charisma, IMHO and a far more interesting back story. Heck, I was more interested in Russel than Stephan. Cara is okay for me but not interesting enough as the lead female. I did like Stephan's normal female friend and would have liked to see her focused on more. The obviously telegraphed triangle between Stephen, John and Cara also was a problem for me. It turned the show into more of a soap opera than I wanted. I'm not saying I represent the audience, but it's too bad they didn't course correct this earlier in the season. The concept was good and it had real potential.

    Bad night for everyone.

TTP is dead, it matched Hart of Dixie this week, Reign is winning the race for renewal and opening a gap between them.

  7. TTp was good for a couple of episodes, then it turned into a hot mess.reign on the other hand, though historically inaccurate, has turned into a pleasant watch weekly.the same cannot be said about TTP,problem/breakout of the week pattern didn't help either.it's my opinion though!

  8. same opinion,luke mitchell should have been the main lead,not robbie-he can't act,he tries hard,but he can't.when a show has a weak lead,it cannot succeed!!

  9. very well said, agree with your every word!!

  10. I don't think TTP is quite dead yet. If, IF it can hold 0.5 or 0.6 on Monday, that would be the best performance for its slot in years.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I don't see how it can do 0.6s on Monday if it is already unable to do so with the most compatible lead-in it could ever get. Besides, even if it did, I don't see how the CW could have room for it... It would require The 100, Reign and Star Crossed all to be cancelled. I assume Star Crossed will be cancelled but I think there is a decent chance both Reign and The 100 make it. But even fighting room for both is hard as it requires no reality hours at all on the fall schedule, which they have never done. I simply cannot see where they would fit TTP.

  12. Am I the only one left whose keeping a slim chance of hope for TTP?? = ( Will you guys not watch it anymore for as long as it's on?

  13. If the CW has more shows than slots, they can play around with ANTM or a shortened Hart of Dixie, or even shortened seasons for TTP and/or Reign if they see fit. The bigger challenge is for TTP is to grow or maintain ratings

  14. I don't see the incentive the CW would have had to shared seasons or order less shows. As much as they've improved this year, they are still way at the bottom of things, so there is a lot to be done and new shows is the way to go for that. Besides, TTP is already on the same level as HOD even before the Monday move, what would be the incentive for them to give HoD a short season and forego the syndication value it has to stick with TTP for the same or worst ratings give or take a tenth? As for reality, sure, but even renewing 3 freshmans (The Originals+2 more) requires no reality!
They have 10 hours to program. TVD, Supernautral, Arrow, The Originals and Hart of Dixie take up 5. 3 new dramas make it 8. There are 2 slots left, which best case go to two out of TTP/The 100/Reign/Star Crossed. Worst case, only one of these is renewed and the 10th hour timeshares Top Model and Whose Line.

  15. You're definitely not the only one! I watch it every time, and I really hope that its ratings magically start going up :/

  16. The reason they might give partial orders is similar to why they renewed The Carrie Diaries: multiple seasons of a show increases the value for said show for streaming purposes. In other words, having two seasons of The Carrie Diaries is better for Netflix than having one season of The Secret Circle or Ringer. As for Fall 2014, I still don't think it is guaranteed that the CW airs three new shows. It is possible they only launch two. I don't think it is likely they renew The Tomorrow People, nor do I think it is likely they launch two and not three shows, but both are possible, and they are slightly better than slim possibilities. As a fan, that's enough for me to enjoy the show for now.

  17. Tough to see Chicago PD drop like that because it really is a good show, it has a nice faster pace to it unlike so many other cop dramas and I hope it makes it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. my guess is that if either The 100 or Sc get renewed, both will only get 3 episodes and not more than that.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I gave up on Reign due to its huge focus on romance. Hell I'm (alright, was) a HUGE TVD fan but Reign just blew it with the romance heavy stuff in its first few episodes.

Monster/Issue of the week shows aren't neccesarily bad, Buffy was one and as long as these episodes are diverse the show has a shot, TTP just didn't write in much diversity considering its issues

What bothered me about TTP was the lack of humor if you do a mystery/sci-fi procedural walk in Buffys shoes and do it as campy as possible.

  20. unless they pick up fewer new shows next season and/or only bring back T100/SC as short order mid season shows again. Then you could possibbly renew more than just 1/2 of the lot if they all do around the same ratings.
    Monday
    8-The Originals
    9-Reign
    Tuesday
    8-New Drama
    9-Supernatural
    Wednesday
    8-Arrow
    9-New Drama
    Thursday
    8-The Vampire Diaries
    9-New Drama
    Friday
    8-ANTM
    9-Hart Of Dixie
With T100 and Star Crossed as mid season replacements
Seriously who would have though CW having a good season would be such a problem?!

  21. Reign is not romance heavy, vampire diaries is way more romance heavy. Stop exaggerating. From the first episode as i recall, Elena and Stefan already had a thing for each other while in the first episode of Reign, Francis was acting like a douche towards Mary. Also, the love triangle is a huge aspect of VD while in Reign, the huge aspect is the Queen Catherine vs Queen Mary dynamics, get your facts straight!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. calm your tits lady, Reign IS romance heavy. There's no denying that, don't delude yourself into thinking so.
TVD had the advantage of following a storyline in its first two seasons and have the relationships develop as the storylines went.
    Reigns romance IS the storyline

How about you get your facts straight before jumping people that criticise your show ?

  23. Though he didn't say exactly when, Pedowitz did say that ANTM is on deck for the summer.

  24. I'm not surprised you came to this conclusion, afterall, you have hated or as you put it 'loathed' the show from day one so that seems to be clouding your judgement. What's funny is that i saw your first comment and asked my sister "What is more romance heavy, Reign or Vampire diaries?" And guess what she said... The Vampire Diaries, without hesitation i might add and she herself is a hopeless romantic. Its funny how you said TVD spent two seasons developing the romance, really? Her and Stefan already hooked up from the first season. Hell, they were already attracted to each other in the first episode, and since then its been Stefan-Elena non stop drama. Reign on the other hand has many storylines, there's politics, Queen Katherine seeking to destroy Mary's alliance with her son, god, there's even the storyline with the fucking pagans, Clarissa and Nostradamus. What gave you the notion that there's nothing but romance in the show. Makes me doubt we were watching the same show. As for VD, i can't recall any other plotline except the love triangle which has gone on for five seasons now.

  25. I'm not surprised you came to that conclusion, afterall this is a show that you loathed before you "loathed" as you put it, from day one. What's funny is that after reading your first comment i asked my sister, "Which show is romance the focus of? VD or Reign?" And she said VD without hesitation no less and she is a hopeless romantic. Another thing i found funny was that you said VD used to shows to develop its romance. Really? From the first episode Elena and Stefan were already attracted to one another and since then its been Elena-Stefan teenage drama for what, 5 seasons now? Reign on the other hand has politics, the pagan storyline, the Clarissa/Nostradamus including Queen Catherine trying to save her son from marrying Mary dilemma. You make it sound like romance is all that happened. Seriously, were you oblivious to whatever else was going on?If i had not watched the show i would have been very misinformed. Makes me question if we were watching the same show. As for VD, aside from the love triangle that has been going on from season 1 up to season 5, there seems to not be much else going on for it, especially now that Klaus is gone.

  26. what you said about reign is more or less true, but if you think that there was/is no storylines going on on TVD for the past 5 seasons, then it's a little stretch.reign is good show,so is TVD.though heavy on romance-there are other factors.don't get so blindsided that you cannot even acknowledge other show's merits besides your show, that's a little unfair IMO.

  27. Sad. I like TTP really much but I really dislike reign... still reign is getting the renewed? I def didn't like the same thinks like people in the USA...
