Constantine - Ordered to Pilot by NBC

14 Jan 2014

Thanks to Voldemort for the heads up.

This morning, NBC has greenlighted a pilot for Constantine, a drama based on the characters in DC Comics’ John Constantine stories. The project, which had a script commitment with penalty, is written/executive produced by The Mentalist executive producer Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer, the go-to writer for Warner Bros’ feature DC adaptations. Constantine centers on John Constantine, an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond.

  2. Look what you did Arrow, got all networks to want to start their own comics shows.
I'll probably check this show out (assuming I like the cast) but NBC better not air this on Wednesdays. It could be a good pairing with Grimm.

  6. Maybe they can give it a shorter season (10-13 episodes) and air it in the fall with Grimm, then Hannibal will air later on with Grimm. I'd be completely ok with that kind of a Friday programming. Assuming this show is any good, I didn't see Dracula, but I've heard completely mixed things about it.

  7. Daniel Cerone and David Goyer as the creative force behind the show? Daniel Cerone wasn´t that good on Dexter and David Goyer, well.... we have Man of Steel and people on Da Vinci´s Demons speaking in modern english and using terms like "Motherf***er", so I guess I pass on this one, although I love Constantine but I don´t want to see, what the two of them turn the character into.

  9. Perfect partner for Grimm no matter how many episodes it gets, I hope it and Wolfman both make it to screen.
