  1. I missed a lot of it so i will have to re watch it,but i found the ending with Kenzi and Deeks looking at the same picture at the same time touching and sweet..

  2. I loved the Sam and Callen banter ! "not a 100 times!"- Sam / "don't worry, i fly better than I can drive" -Sam " that's not saying much"- Callen.
Deeks lost without his partner, and i'm still in awwww mode with that last densi scene, looking at pictures of each other, they miss each other - adorable ! only one episode left before being on hiatus...

  3. That ending...I made a most unmanly sound I will never be able to duplicate for as long as I live. Thank God I was alone.

  4. guess they are writing kensi off the show, at the very least they are desperately fast tracking her story in a fast not-enough-notice poorly written way , like squeezing a lemon for every last drop. maybe they offered her more money and she turned down the offer, like on NCIS. no worries, she can retire and not be heard from again and it will be easy to find a much better replacement that would cost half enough.

  5. wow pessimist much ? The actress that plays Kensi, Daniela Ruah is pregnant so they had to find something to hide/cover it. That way they have a reason when she goes on maternity leave. They are NOT writing the character off !... So it has nothing to do with money or anything else... you can relax now... ;D

  6. I also enjoyed how Deeks and Kensi remember each other looking at past pictures. With the new situation I hope Nell gets a few chances to act as Deeks' partner, I think that would be fun.

  7. yes, the show is that bad. if she is really coming back, there is no reason to close off her story and write her off so badly. maybe she is being forced out because of union rules discriminate against pregnant women, whatever happened to the good old days when women were allowed to be pregnant and beat the bad guys like in FARGO where she uses her brains and moral authority more than brute force to exercise her protective instincts as chief badass, instead of being so weak and helpless (kensi has no control or say in being ordered around like a helpless piece of meat undeserving to a war zone to, at worst, do such a mundane job and/or infiltrate and or at best, to hunt a mole/corrupt/criminal agent, it sends a message that any woman in law enforcement cannot be trusted to make decisions and must sacrifice being a mother to being a object ). seems like the writers have no backbone and have no creativity. when it is more satisfying to talk about or make up stuff about the actors life to try to figure out what is going on, than it is to do so about the actual storytelling, especially the most unsatisfying way they consummated the character's relationship in the story, think about it, it seems like the writers are protesting.

  8. You seem to forget that Kensi is not pregnant, so there is no message to send?

  9. what the hell are you talking about !?!? you are WAY OFF !

1 - "maybe she is being forced out because of union rules discriminate against pregnant women" union rules ???? what ? NO ! Many actresses have been pregnant and still working (Emily Deschanel on Bones - Allyson Hannigan and cobie smulders on HIMYM - Billie Piper on secret diary call girl - Courtney Cox on Friends...) should i go on ? but then again they didn't have to run around chasing bad guys !

2- "whatever happened to the good old days when women were allowed to be pregnant and beat the bad guys" I guess you have NEVER been pregnant !? have you ?

3- "instead of being so weak and helpless" It's tough when you have a huge belly, it's heavy, you get tired quickly and your feet hurt and get swollen ! That's not being weak it's just a fact of life... she's CARRYING life ! but again, as a guy, you might not grasp much of the meaning of CREATING LIFE.

4 - "kensi has no control or say in being ordered around" Have you ever had a job where you could choose the cases/files you would work on and decide ("nope! not gonna do that one!too good for this sh*t !") !? It's their job. All of them get orders. That's how it works. It's no different for any of the characters.

5 - "it sends a message that any woman in law enforcement cannot be trusted to make decisions and must sacrifice being a mother to being a object" I really think you're mixing the character with the actress ! But let's go for it : imagine you're a female officer of the law, would you really put yourself in danger knowing you're carrying your child !? but then again the character is NOT pregnant but the actress ! so I don't see how your sentence relate to the situation !

6 - "when it is more satisfying to talk about or make up stuff about the actors life" THE ACTRESS IS REALLY PREGNANT !!! go watch this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxQmKMVzf00

Moreover, your argument doesn't stand, what you're saying makes no sense! you're confusing the character and the actress ! There is no plot theory against Daniela Ruah or the character of Kensi Blye. The writers are simply making it easier for the "actual-pregnant-actress" to take some time off when she'll give birth!

  10. the pronoun refers to the actress, not the character

  11. (writers) union, not actors/actress union

    ReplyDelete
  12. 1. the writers union, like wga, as in script rewrites.

    2. stunt doubles can be made to look pregnant.

    3. the character arc of kensi is getting more passive

    4. they are making the job of an ncis agent look

    uncharacteristically unappealing

    -------------

my point is not about mothers, I did not know the actor is pregnant who plays the character when I noticed the changes in her character and story arc.

kensi is a civilian investigator important enough to be informed not a soldier sniper expected to execute civilians in warlike conditions that is not important enough to be allowed any information to make decisions .

it is like the character is being demoted in rank/position at her job for no reason that has yet been explained. (can it be said that this was the exact plan for her story arc: to go from main character to irrelevant recurring one? )

it is acceptable for the main character to have less screen time and then no screen time because the actress is on maternity leave, it is unacceptable for the writers to do this in a way that changes her character significantly and makes her expendable and changes her character arc and story in a way that necessary limits future perception and work prospects.

"The actress that plays Kensi, Daniela Ruah is pregnant so they had to find something to hide/cover it. "

They are doing it in a way that makes it so that her character is irrelevant whether she returns or not.

Writing her off, not killing her off.

*Think of it this way, they cannot do the first kiss and first date kensi has with her partner a second time, so why do such an IMPORTANT story arc so quickly and poorly when the actress is about to be on leave and cannot work full time, when they always have the option of waiting until she returns from leave, now they CAN'T do it properly. Now there is no REASON for her to return, there is no loose ends. There would be no good reason to do this and tie up the most important loose end, especially in such a rushed way unless it is because she is not going to return as a main role of the cast at all. It is like how they closed the character arc and story line of ziva on NCIS.

They might have to write in a reason for the characters absence because the actor is on leave, but they don't have to change her characters role in the show in such an irreversible way that necessary diminishes her character when and if the actor returns.

my point is not about mothers, I did not know the actor is pregnant who plays the character when I noticed the changes in her character and story arc.

  13. Wow I just read some of the comments on here and someone is just out of their mind. I doubt very much that Daniella would want to put herself or future child in any kind of danger. I like the story they have written for character to go off and perform an assignment that would make sense for her character. She will be back full time after she has the baby, that I have no doubt about. I will miss her while she is gone. Right now on Hawaii Five-0 they had to write Grace Park out of the show or use her sparingly, because she too has just had a baby and stayed back in Vancouver for the first few months. She will be back full time in the New Year. Most of the fans accepted that and just enjoyed the show. It isn't always easy to write around real life situations. I am looking forward to find out where this story takes Kensi and Deeks. I also look forward to Kensi being back full time sometime in the late winter, early spring.
