  1. Every episode this season I've said the same exact things while watching the episode.

"What the hell is going on?"
    "Why is that happening?"
"Were they high when writing this?"
    "What are they doing?"
    "What fresh hell is this?"
    "Where the hell is Tamsin?"

    And right at the end:
"Why am I enjoying this so much?"

  2. Really enjoyed the episode and all the subtle clues they're dropping.
Dybo is really confusing and I hope they can save Dyson's character from being really pathetic.
Also, love that Lauren is finally taking control on her own.

Another great episode. Way better than the previous one.

Well, congrats Lost GIrl. You just confused me EVEN MORE than before.

    - So happy I predicted the fact that Bo chose the side willingly.
    - It seems she had some sort of plan? And set out to have her own clueless self in future to enact it? What the HELL is going on?
    - Its REALLY nice to see Lauren being so self-assertive and strong and independent. Separating her and Bo was the right choice, allowing her to grow past being a mere "love interest".
    - Apart from that, I feel like repeating what I said every episode this season - WTF IS GOING ON????

How can this show be so brilliant and so crazy all at once?

Also that last scene with Una Mens is going to give me nightmares.

I don't think Bo has ever been truly "light". Even when she was unaligned her behavior was closer to that of a dark. She was all about defying the rules, challenging leaderships, exhibiting control, etc.

About the edit: Considering it happened so fast and show is nowhere near end, that is bad news for you ;]

  6. I liked the chemistry between Lauren and The Morrigan.

  7. I really liked this episode 'cause it revealed interesting things about the story...

Bo's dark side... hmmm... I wonder what her plan is...
and it seems to me that Lauren has her own plan ~~ secretly taking a dna sample from The Morrigan's lips...

I'm a doccubus shipper but I like the chemistry between Lauren and the Morrigan...
BUT IT's EXCITING to see that Lauren is scheming something........ XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  8. Finally Lauren is "fighting" back! She's scheming and the Morrigan is definitely up to something :-) Hope they'll continue this plot, Exciting!

  9. Finally! The first episode which felt like the "Lost girl" in its prime. I guess they finally got to the shooting schedule while filming this and didn't have to make staff on the go to cover absence of a newly mother.
Even Lauren was tolerable this ep, although I can't completely get over the fact that she was working with creepy doctor who experimented on Fae and yet she does not seem to have any remorse or even remote pain about her participation in it.
    Yey Kale!
Yey to Bo getting her memory back (some of it).

  10. am i the only one who thinks, Ianka and Lauren have the same story? they wants to be free, their kind always be owned by fae. and bamber and marcus are dark and light fae? or i imagine too much.......

  11. I'm a huge Trekki and I approve of this episode.

  12. The writing in this season is much more consistant than last one. Really happy about it. They don't try to be more complex than they can and the more vague they are the better the episodes end. The Story of the singer (cas of the week) was more up front this week, which slows down the pace a bit. I like that some of the relationships an characters have developed but on the other hand we are back at square one (season one), like Dyson and Bo have this benefits thing only this time Dyson is the one who wants more.
And yay Dyson was with the SAS :-D
Although I am happy for Kale I had the impression he was a bit stiff sitting on that bench.
Loved that we saw more of Evony and finally we get to actually see the scheming side of Lauren.
The final scene - Dyson wolfing out - that was awsome for me.

  13. really interesting, I thought more about Bo. Like she has been watching a metaphor or her S1 life, only with a bad ending. I don't recall the Dark taking an interest in Lauren up until this season, but picking up from this one it fits.

    ReplyDelete
  14. and can you see that's if Bo is really different this time, she's mean to Trick when she and dyson caught enjoying their time in barrel room. and she's more seductive bitchy to Dyson and always angry

    ReplyDelete
  15. Still think Evony is Lauren's mother?

    ReplyDelete
  16. i may be the only one super disappointed in this because well i know how theyre trying so hard to stay away from the usual boring lauren character but /this/ lauren arc just doesnt make sense. i hope they answer some things first before throwing different kinds of shit on lauren's storyline which for me is like, "so whats the catch to this?" all the time. she's a terrorist? what happened to superfae taft last season? like all this lauren build up is so rushed and pointless. if they answered all our questions instead of this crap lauren arc it would be so much better.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, previously Lauren was interesting character because of her and Bo. And now there is no Docubus, so the writers desperately are trying to make her interesting on her own. But instead her story gets more and more ridiculous to the point of total nonsense.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I don't think there is 'no Doccubus' especially after they jumped each other last episode. We will see more Doccubus this season without doubt. I do however think they have tried to vary up this season though and give each character their own storyline and development outside of the 'triangle'. I do agree though that Lauren's back story doesn't gel. She'd have to be about 45 to have that many miles under her belt....and she clearly isn't anywhere near that old.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I have to admit I can't see them lasting either. I do think they are 'cute' but I don't think they have much chemistry.

Either one of them dies or something else bad happens. AS cynical as it sounds, writers do not just throw characters together to cuddle out of the goodness of their hearts.

    Yep.

    *points at Bo's mommy*

Kissing your mom is the norm in this show.

  22. yes, I liked also to find out why she chose dark. it seems she new her amnesia was going to happen and thus left herself some clues. I wonder if she took something into herself that makes her dark and wants to get out (Handprint).

    ReplyDelete
  23. this was my point, thank you so much i thought i was the only one. im still not buying the whole terrorist thing and the star trek fan. i just never saw her that way i guess? her character build up doesnt make any sense like we never warmed up to it they just rushed everything, one reason may be because she's a fan favorite and we all know LG is all about fanservice thats why theyre trying to just throw anything to make her interesting but nope. still nope.

    ReplyDelete
  24. i really dont care about doccubus, i mean there are far more interesting things they can explore rather than going back to the unhealthy relationship with bo and lauren cause its already getting old. its sad how LG turned out to be one of the good shows and now its just fanservice and it doesnt even feel about bo anymore, why is it about lauren now and her nonsense plot and not answering ten million questions from last season?

    ReplyDelete
  25. But Bo didn't know who her biological mother was, at the time. Presumably Lauren does. (If they do try to pull something wacky like that - Lauren and Evony being related - it will seem SUPER contrived.)

    ReplyDelete
  26. It's too bad I can only upvote your comment once. I don't watch this show for romance. Focusing on all the romance subplots has made this show...I don't want to say "weak," but it's sort of becoming that way. I mean we had two sex/almost sex scenes and kissing scenes with 2 other different "couples," plus the shoehorned romance angle with the guest cast in this episode alone. It's just getting old and is leaving no time for decent remotely complex plots on this show (unless they can shoehorn some romance into it, but even then, they can drop the ball).

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm a HUGE doccubus fan.. but I gotta say.... There's a good chemistry of MOLO (morrigan and Lauren).

Not planning to ship to Molo. But I'm excited how Lauren would play the dark fae doctor scheme XDDDDDDDDD.

HOnestly... my heart almost ripped when I saw Lauren kiss Morrigan .. at the same time I realized.. "hey.. they arent so bad.. together..." and then.,... I saw the petri dish... I was like "HELL YEAH LAUREN!!! YOu're such a baddass doctor!" XDDDDDDDDDDDDD

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah I have presumed since season 1 that Hale wouldn't last the distance but I suppose it depends how popular the ship is. I do think the writers take these things in to account.

    ReplyDelete
  29. She may not. She may not realise that the mother she grew up with wasn't her real one. Lauren obviously suspects something involving Evony as she wanted her DNA... I don't think Evony's reaction was very 'motherish' though.

On that note....why didn't Lauren just get Evony's DNA from the empty beer bottles?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Some people actually just like Lauren full stop. I am a Doccubus fan but I have really enjoyed seeing Lauren interacting with other people for once and in fact my two favourite Lauren scenes last season were with Kenzi and Dyson. The whole point of having a 'cast' of characters is that someone appeals to everyone. Lauren is a popular character just like Dyson and Kenzi are popular and its positive this season that all three characters have had time to grow outside of their different relationships with Bo. I know the focus has been a little off Bo in the early episode's but I don't see anyone bitching about Anna Silk getting pregnant...because that's exactly why they had to do it. It frustrates me when Dybo fans have to hate on Lauren and Doccubus fans have to hate on Dyson. Get over it already. There seriously would not be a Lost Girl series 2,3 or 4 without the so called triangle.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I thought...'why didn't you just take the DNA off the empty bottles you crazy woman'

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't there has to be a potential family/mother connection for Lauren to want Evony's DNA. I sort of thought of that whole plot as some insurance, on Lauren's part, or if they wanted to bring back Lauren's plot last season, it could be something that could go in a darker route.

I think we all know why Lauren didn't just use the beer bottles. Everyone has to kiss everyone on this show. XD

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah there does seem to be an obvious 'Lauren turns herself Fae' route for them to go down but I would have thought Evony would be the last person she'd want to snatch DNA from for that reason.

    ReplyDelete
  34. i fully agree. everything's getting old and jsut tiring, i think its mostly because they leave so many unanswered questions. sometimes i wish they stop with the fanservice for once and focus on the plot. the first three episodes didnt make any sense at all, like i understand anna silk had to rest after giving birth to sam so she couldnt be mostly on those eps but they couldve done so much better tbh.

    ReplyDelete
  35. i dont hate lauren because im a dybo fan or whatnot, her character just dont appeal so much to me, and yes im queer. it doesnt mean i have to suck on all the queer characters eventho for me theyre totally uninteresting. im merely expressing my opinion on how messed up her arc is and lacks so much continuity.

    ReplyDelete
  36. InvestedInYourFuture17 December 2013 at 16:35

Unless she is aware of their family connection and them being related would make the proccess easier :P

Otherwise, its more than likely that the stunt she pulled hints at Lauren going all Taft on fae world.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Totally agree, It's tyering how much people can
invest in disliking a character just to make a point (not counting
character you love to hate). Be and let be.

    ReplyDelete
  38. LOL maybe she needs the prints of Evonys lips (like fingerprints)?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I;m a bit confused.

doesn't Evony feed on talent? I was convinced the whole apartment bonding thing was her working her magic on Lauren, and Lauren took the sample to maybe counteract it somehow.
    am I way off here??

    ReplyDelete
  40. where is Tamsin :(? that's just unnacceptable,Rachel Skarsten was only in two episodes...

    ReplyDelete
  41. didnt think of that @_@ lol. But maybe lauren wants to get Evony's trust somehow

    ReplyDelete
  42. Writers of Lost Girl, what are you doing with Bo? Seriously, if you guys are trying to make viewers start to dislike her, well..good job, and a nice shot in the foot. I have been always rooting for Bo, she is the main character, the Lost Girl, but right now, she don't even seems lost, she not seems Bo in any way. I don't recognize her.

self absorbed, immature, self-centered, to name a few thing Bo is in this confused season.

There so many thing the writers still could do with this show, interesting, different, exciting things. Different arcs, different plots, character's development. but right now, i'm sorry, but this show seems pretty much stuck. Things don't go anywhere, and everything is confused.

This season has too much Dyson so far, and i’m really tired of his puppy wolf love. Move on writers!!! This show really began to walk in circles. Kris is a good actor, but the writers created Dyson as a very much limited character.

Nothing have been explained yet about the S3 finale, the viewers are completely in the dark. And i'm so angry and sad at this, because Lost Girl in one of my favorite shows in the world, but right now it looks a different show. I'm sorry, but this is bad writing.

and where is Tamsin?? when she will have her memories back? The girl just disappear again? WTF!

Only a few episodes left for this season, and Season 4, so far, have been a huge disappointment.

  43. Nope, Sol, I don't think you're off-base at all. People seem to keep on forgetting that the Morrigan had Lauren test one of their elders. She probably wants her for something big. I wasn't sure if she was talent-sucking her (her pro-Dark Fae stance in the previous ep seemed a bit off, like there might be some manipulation going on). But looking for an antidote to the Morrigan's power certainly makes sense (more so than the Morrigan is Lauren's secret mother thing).

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think Sol, further down in this post, brings up a good angle for the Evony DNA harvesting reason. They could go several different ways with it.

(But as someone from a science background, I hope Lauren got a few skin cells for her trouble XD)

    ReplyDelete
  45. They could get really/more complex with this show, if they wanted to. At this point, I think they just want to keep shipping fans riled up. Maybe it's not a bad strategy for keeping people watching, but I'm sorta like, "if I wanted to watch a soap opera, I'd just watch a soap opera."

A sort of see the first 3 eps as a contained arc that set up the rest of the season - I'm not going to throw Anna under the bus for having a baby. She was still in these first episodes and she barely took any time off. She's pretty badass, imo. I think it comes down to the writing, which is the achilles heel of a LOT of shows, not just Lost Girl.
