I thought tonight's episode was very deep! The fun moments. I enjoyed the fighting with John and Cara, the whole "fight club" scene. First rule, second rule, etc. Them going out having a good time was nice as well. I enjoyed all of Russell's lines...."Irene is having a seizure, oh wait that's just her dancing...now she's twirking, ok i can't watch." Hahaha, that made me LOL! And his other line "You know what red means, it means ready." LOL Very smooth Casanova. When he was betting to float the olive and said huh i must be drunk, i thought it was funny, i didn't think it was going to be a trap. And that trapped SUCKED! I was like damn!! They went in. But Kurt, was VERY stupid!! He should've at least gave them a heads up! And i'm GLAD Cara did what she did. And speaking of that seen WHOA! Cara is someone you don't want to mess with! I loved her rage!! It was a whole completely different side of her we hadn't seen. I'm not even sure John recognized that part of her. However, i can definitely understand her rage, her whole situation has to do with betrayal, it's not like that came from nowhere. Speaking of not recognizing, John's secret is out now. Cara knows, wonder how their relationship will be now? As for Astrid, i get the curiosity thing, but seriously, now you're a target, the whole "I made a mistake never mind thing" was so amateur! Smh, she's probably on the radar now. And Stephen shouldn't have let her know so early on. Not with everything that just went on. Yeah she's definitely a target now. The "mysterious voice" that Stephen had a meeting with, i didn't think he would be a Tomorrow Person. I was thinking maybe it's his dad? But then again, i really hope they don't make it THAT cliche! All in all it was a good episode. It kept my attention, and i'm anxious for next week. Ultra's own family is a Tomorrow Person...the plot thickens!
I thought this episode was pretty good. But I'm a bit confused with all these possible love interests... I mean maybe i'm just seeing things that aren't there, but first I saw some Cara and Stephen stuff and then some Astrid and Stephen stuff..? I don't know but i'm really enjoying this series so far! Also I really hope Astrid doesn't tell anybody about Stephen's powers or get captured by Ultra. Oh and i'm not quite sure I like whats going on with Cara and all this John drama but I don't know the man creeps me out a bit XD Oh plus poor Kurt. I trusted you Kurt. Why? But anyways um I guess I just hope some awesome stuff happens next Wednesday and that my heart doesn't explode from all my feels :D
really good ep with some solid fight scenes and finally the reveal to Astrid (sooo glad that they didn't drag that out much further) - but it would seem that she might be in the cross hairs of at least Darcy who saw her at the party and could've read her mind and known that she is Steven's friend. I hope that the prodigy genetics specialist girl makes it and comes back as her character could have some promise (maybe as a pseudo Felicity of this Amell show - perhaps without the romantic angles that CW is so famous for)... nice reveal that the head/or at least a senior partner of Ultra is a TP himself.... good final scene with Kara and Kurt...
I love hardass John maybe it's the casting but I like his character a lot, but I really dislike Cara, maybe it's the casting again but I just can't bring myself to enjoy anything about her, everything else was good though
I like John and Astrid and am indifferent to dislike with Stephen, Cara, and Jedikiah. My favorite characters are Stephen's mom, his brother, and Astrid. Russell might grow on me.
John is one of my favorites on this show. But he become more of a hard ass with each episode that goes by. Is he just jealous of Stephen because he has a human life and he can't. There something more that we don't know yet about him. Stephen i what him to have more powers beause he supose to be the savior but he still seems weaker that John and everyone else. Is that just me? Also i glade that they are keep Astrid she bring a human connection to Stephen. i can't wait till next week.
I don't like that Astrid knows the truth now. What kind of secret race is it, if everybody knows? And I really dislike her, she is annoying and seems to be obsessed with Stephen. Or maybe it's just actress...
Wow, this was the best episode of the show so far, for me. It was funny and intense. I wasn't Ultra to come in the party guns blazing. And damn at angry Cara.
Well, I got the impression that Cara's story happened when she was in high school. Same age as Stephen. Just 5 years earlier. John is probably around that same age.
It was awesome episode. But there was something that i think will change the course of the series. That guy Jedikiah's partner (this is my theory), why do i think it will be revealed that it is Stephen's father.
here;s hoping it will come back to bite Stephen in the ass.I actually do like Astrid both the character and the actress, Stephen on the other hand I hate both.
I love John. I even start liken Cara even when I dislike her "jumping" between Stephen and John but yeah it is CW XP so we seem to need Triangle. I still ship her with John and I understand why she "runs" to stephen who is telling her everything when John is a blank wall but than please break up, when you can't handle that the guy has secrets! Come on this was so clear from the beginning, that John is not sharing everything. But yeah, I still start to like her even when John will always stay my fav. I hope we get a whole season *.* Russell is awesome like always.
Oh. My. God. Best episode so far, just a pure 42-minute adrenaline rush. Why aren't this show's ratings higher?
The stakes were definitely raised with 3 TP dead (they were red shirts, but still) and Kurt's betrayal. The strain from being essentially trapped underground is clearly starting to show, and I'm betting Kurt won't be the last one who has trouble letting go of his previous life. The show also pulled a nice bait-and-switch by making it seem like Ultra knew about the party because Jedekiah's "partner" got inside Stephen's head. I wasn't thinking of Kurt at all in that context, I just assumed the earlier scene with him showed how everyone is desperate to get out already. Turned out there was more to it.
Cara was freaking scary when she went apeshit on Kurt. I love how they're able to bring out a whole new side in a character you never expected. Also, that scene was cleverly juxtaposed with our expectations: after the guys got mad at Kurt, it would've been typical for Cara, the girl, to step in and try to calm everyone. Instead, her fury was the greatest. Have I mentioned I'm loving Peyton List? Because she's clearly got range, in just 5 episodes she's already had to portray lots of different emotions and attitudes and so far she's nailed them all.
I'm glad the writers are sticking with John's rigid survivalist mentality even when it makes his character look bad - refusing to allow everyone to go party and even to teleport Irene to a hospital in order to save his life. It makes him realistic. Not everyone can - or should - be blandly perfect and noble like Stephen.
I definitely wasn't expecting John's secret to come out so quickly. The pace of the show makes it seem like the writers are dreading cancellation and therefore trying to get to the good stuff ASAP. I really hope the show survives, of course, but it's a win-win because storylines don't drag. John's reasoning for not telling everyone he was part of the Annex project is understandable, but so is Cara's hurt that he kept something like that from her. What I fear is that this wedge is being driven between them to push Cara towards Stephen and facilitate the long-dreaded love triangle. Sigh. The Cara/Stephen scene in the latter's room was probably the weakest of the episode, because it was contrived for that purpose.
I was hoping the revelation that Ultra is just one branch of a larger organization, and Jedikiah's "partner" (I keep using the quote marks because I have trouble believing he isn't really his boss) interrogating Stephen, would tell us more. We learned next to nothing about those. But I guess it was only meant to serve as setup for the future.
The end between Stephen and Astrid was cute. When he asked her to take his hands, did anyone else think for a moment that he was going to use his powers to erase her memory of their friendship in order to protect her? Not that we've seen telepathy being used like this, but they keep saying Stephen's powers are stronger, so I wasn't sure. I'm glad they didn't go the predictable route of Stephen being a big hero and preferring to drive Astrid away, erase her memory or whatever to keep her safe. It's touching that he's willing to trust her with his secret, and that she wasn't freaked out by it. (But I still don't get why she didn't connect the dots - Stephen told her, just a couple of weeks earlier, that he had powers.) Of course, it does put her in danger, and John is clearly going to blow a gasket when he finds out.
More shirtless John! I'm shallow as hell but: RAWR. He's welcome to continue training in every episode. The fight between Cara and he was no less hot than the one in 1x02. And while Cara was wearing too much eyeshadow, she looked pretty hot herself.
TTP keeps getting better - now we just need its ratings to do the same.
Maybe it's just me, but I think the pissed off Cara scene is even cooler if you look at it from a gender perspective. When she first stepped in after John and Russell attacked Kurt, I thought it would be a stereotypical situation where the woman in the room tries to calm the angry men and tell them not to solve problems with violence, blah blah. Instead, she was angrier and more brutal than any of them, which was just awesome.
Best episode so far! It really was awesome. So many twists and turns in there! I loved all the party scenes and how Steven was forced to show his true colours. I have no idea how he will explain that. Kara and John were awesome too, especially John, and I am glad the are showing us more tomorrow people, makes for a better show IMO! Love this!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
That last scene with Cara. Holy crap.

ReplyDeleteThis show is definitely setting up the love geometry and it looks like anyone who can be pulled in will be.
ReplyDeleteI like John and Astrid and am indifferent to dislike with Stephen, Cara, and Jedikiah. My favorite characters are Stephen's mom, his brother, and Astrid. Russell might grow on me.
ReplyDeleteAstrid is a likeable character I hope she sticks around and isn't expendable to carry the storyline anywhere
ReplyDeleteHas it ever been confirmed how much older Cara & John are than Stephen or was there nothing to miss?

ReplyDeleteI love him too! I think he's the best character and Luke the best actor in this show!
