Arrow 2.05 "The League of Assassins" Preview
6 Nov 2013
Arrow ReviewsYou are not going to want to miss tonight’s episode of Arrow “League of Assassins.” The episode was written by Jake Coburn and Drew Z Greenberg and directed by Wendey Stanzler. All three are familiar faces from season one and deliver yet another outstanding episode. I think this episode may contain the most beautifully shot and choreographed fight scene to date. Kudos to James Bamford the fight choreographer/coordinator and stunt coordinator for his work on Arrow, and he’s also doing double duty on The Tomorrow People. It’s one thing to deliver great fight scenes and stunts every week and quite another to keep upping the ante.
The episode is as tightly written and as fast paced as we’ve come to expect. So, what can I tell you about tonight’s episode? You will learn a lot about Sara’s (Caity Lotz) time in the past. Moira’s (Susanna Thompson) case is progressing. The episode is largely about forgiveness and family – themes we’ve visited before but are given more resonance tonight. Not one, not two, but THREE spectacular fight scenes. Friendships old and new are tested. And because Arrow isn’t just about the action, there are some terrific dramatic moments as well. I can’t wait to really discuss this episode after it airs, so be sure to come back for my review!
