    Some of the choices here are characters that are too minor for me to consider, even though I don't like or care for the like Eddison. I voted for Huck as he is my least favorite aspect of the show and feel it is the only part of the show that is too much for me to buy. I am also not impressed with GD's acting so it is a combination of things.

    I did not realize the difficulty of this question till just now!
    Voted for Edison, even though I dont care much for him.. simply because I enjoy every other character on this show.. each one is written so brilliantly and the actors are so perfect..especially Kerry Washington, Guillermo Diaz, Bellamy Young and Jeff Perry!

    I hate Fitz for non-shipping related reasons (although I don't like Olivia/Fitz at all, but mostly because I can't stand Fitz because of his actions and behavior).

    For me it's Jake, he brings nothing to show...He acting is sub-par, I just don't like his character....Even with Daddy Pope he has a love to hate vibe going on with brings the show another dynamic with Jake you get nothing..

    Exactly. I hate Fitz as a character so much that I stopped watching the show. I cannot stand him or anything he does. Mellie and Cyrus can only do so much to cover for Fitz's sheer awfulness.

    Nobody watch's Scandal for Tony he is so old and nasty Scott Foley has made this show so much better the chemistry that Scott and Kerry have is so much better and real then the forced chemistry that they claim she has with Tony everyone hate Fitz and Olitz Shipper are so fucking stupid all they do is watch for shipping and not for the show I'm so glad that Shonda put a stop all this Olitz mess and put Olivia with Jake he is single and loves her and lets not forget he went into the hole to save her life Please tell me one thing Fitz has done for her but rape her and treat her like a whore Olitz shipper are fake scandal fans and most of them are loser and have no lives it's really sad I hope they get rid of Goldwyn soon he is bring the show down the rating are the best when Scott is on everyone tunes in for him and Kerry and Bellamy I'm so glad Shonda made him the new male lead Team Jake

    In truth only Olivia, her dad, Cyrus, his husband and Maddie are interesting. I understand the need for Fitz and I don't particularly hate him, but I don't find him to be a super interesting character either, he's the epitome of predictable.

    I voted for Jake. He's the only character I honestly dislike, both, as an individual character and as a love interest for Olivia. I tried to give him a chance but he's so annoying and Foley doesn't suit the part, IMO. I think there's a big discrepancy between what Jake is, what writers wants him to be and what Foley tries to show. He's completely unbelievable as a agent of a secret organization who was trained to kill. And to believe that he was a month(or so) in the hole and survived just because he saw Olivia's face? Please, he gives me vibes like he would sell out his own mother for any personal gain or just to avoid any physical pain(because he seems weak) or to save his "pretty" face. The more I see of his character, the more he annoys me.

    Before Jake, it was Quinn that I disliked the most. I could have seen that she was the wronged one, that she deserved answers but she was so annoying. I just wanted her to shut up. I started to like her during the back 9 in season 2 but now she goes back to being annoying, ugh.



    I also never liked Edison, thought he was extremely underused and boring. But he was never part of the main cast, so I'm not focusing on him so much.


    Other characters I quite like or have a love-hate relationship with, so not gonna write about them all now, lol.

    Shippers are going to RUIN this poll. Here's why. First off, NO ONE gives 2 eff words about Quinn. She's nosy, enjoys being turned into Deb/Dexter, AND DOESNT KNOW HOW TO LISTEN. She should be at the top of this list. My eyes go on automatic roll whenever she's on the screen because I know she's gonna do something that'll make my pressure go up.

    Secondly, I do NOT understand how you guys are pro-Fitz. He's a liar, a selfish one, and a murderer -- aside from the murder part, he's been a douche about Liv's feelings and are only there for his own. A married man getting jealous over his mistress trying to do the right thing and move on...? Control. And let's not forget his 'In a different life speech' ... so why would he still be in politics and Liv would be at home, making Smuckers...? I digress. Fitz and Quinn should be the Top Two, but because y'all wanna see he and Liv together, you've thrown Jake to the wolves.

    THIRD...Edison. I was pro Edison to begin with. Not because he looked like he know how to make puddin pops, but because he actually CARES about Olivia. How could y'all hate him? She called HIM and reengaged that relationship. He was about to put it all on the line, even after her affair and wanted to be with her. That's not a simp. That's a man who was still in love first go round. And when Olivia inadvertently got him in her dad's way when all he did was love her, (the legs broken thing), she LOVED him, but her dad made her break up that one. Y'all just hate Edison because he was right; but she wants a married man she cant have and constantly puts herself through the ringer. At that point and time, she was a criminal, a whore, and idiot and a liar. #TeamEdison.


    Finally, JAKE - sweet Jesus Jake. I particularly don't like how he stalked her, dated her when he was supposed to be spying on her, had a sex tape with her, she ends up in the hospital and she's all scared to death when he's thrown down a hole. Maybe cause Huck was thrown down the same one, or maybe she knows what Pops is capable of and wishes that on no one. If Jake didn't always ALWAYS have a hidden agenda, we'd be COOL. But, something's gonna arise. Always does. But I'd rather see them together. How can y'all ship Fitz/Olivia though? Because they're pretty people? O_o

    First of all Liv is the one who wants to make jam in her life with Fitz...Liv is the one who keeps putting the brakes on his divorce from Mellie...It seems Fitz is the only one who is ready for him to move on and divorce Mellie they all want him to continue to be President even Liv, she said she would wait even though 4 years would be hard, but she would.. Every last one of these people are liars, schemers to some degree that is what make this show Scandal.....

    Some of it is shipping for sure. But there's another element to it too. Scott Foley is def the weak link in this cast & Fitz is very whiny, weak, predictable & even delusional at points.To say that he spends most of his time being carried by the other characters is to put it mildly

    Fitz and Olivia are way more interesting than boring, bland and creepy Jake. Fitz and Olivia have the most outrageous chemistry which makes the show sexy and dramatic. The show is called Scandal not Welcome to Pleasantville.



    Jake is just a pervert with his making, viewing and distributing of the sex tape. He is also physically abusive (concussion) and a pathological liar. He did not save Olivia's life since her Dad has not tried to kill her. His constant lurking around Olivia is beyond creepy.


    All the characters on the show are unlikeable bad people but at least they are entertaining. Jake is just boring and the character seems forced into the show.



    Finally, Scott Foley is a terrible actor on a show with a cast of fine actors.

    I don't think you understand the ratings. The show has been winning its time slot. The 2.9 refers to the 18-49 audience share, which is higher than other shows in the time slot.

    Jake is not an actor. Jake is the character played by the actor Scot Foley. This is one of the challenges that Shonda Rhimes is constantly confronted with; viewers confusing an ACTOR with the character the actor plays.

    Technically speaking, Quinn is the most annoying. But, I voted Jake hands- down. He feels too contrived and silly. I hate to say it but I think Scott Foley is simply miscast. I'm not buying what he's selling; he's a stretch as a spy and as Olivia's lover!

    As quiet as it's kept, Fitz is slowly coming into his own. I like him more this season than the last season for sure. Strangely enough, I like Olivia less this season than last and especially the first!

    I'm getting a bit tired of Hutch tbh...

    Rowan, Mellie and Cyrus are gold.

    The shippers already have ruined the poll. Scandal is a show for smart people. Shonda is telling this great complex story which I love. The needy though are focused on a relationship which is a significant but small part of the Olivia Pope story.
