Chicago Fire - 2.04 - A Nuisance Call - Review

Hi everybody! Will try to do this quick yet efficiently because I just started my internship(today’s my second day) and I need to go catch some sleep before my hectic day tomorrow! Please bear with me if my review sucks. You can always check out Ben’s too!

I’ve got to say, when I first saw the promo for this week’s episode, I did not see all these twists and turns coming. Boy, this week’s episode was quite a crazy ride, eh? I was pretty much on the edge of my seat throughout the whole episode.

Based on the promo we saw last week(sorry if you didn’t see it), we know that Shay is going down some sort of spiral. I was guessing it to be due to some emotional feels because of the whole baby thing or whatever, but I did not think it would be for the fact that a man blew his brains out right in front of her. It was horrible. I was having my dinner while watching and I did not feel very good after that, because I imagined what it would look like through Shay’s eyes, brains and all(sorry for sidetracking).

And that whole scene with Otis and Shay, I thought for sure she was going to make out with him. I’m glad they didn’t though.

It turns out that Clark wasn’t actually the snitch, it was some other guy from the firehouse. I didn’t quite catch his name, did they even mentioned it? Anyway, I should’ve seen this coming, I mean, the writers have been throwing the idea of Clark as the snitch right in my face, yet I still believed them. Did you guys called it though? That Clark wasn’t the snitch? But I wonder what Gail McLeod used to bribe the real snitch. I hope we would find out.

At first I thought Hadley just had a vendetta against 51, to mess with them, but he actually thought of killing himself too. The crew of 51 saved him just in time before he barbecued himself. I’m just that glad this whole thing is over and everyone is alive.

Man, was I excited about the call they got regarding the car hanging halfway out of a building. I know I shouldn’t be this psyched to see someone die, even if it’s just a show, but it was teeth clenching exciting. I love it when they show these kinds of situations.

All in all, from what you can tell by all the words I’ve typed out, you can see I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I think it’s one of the best, because I’m normally quite on point about storylines. I hope they keep up the good work. This episode caught me off guard with the plot twists.

What did you guys think about the episode? Did ya’ll enjoyed it as much as I did? Let me know!

I think it was awesome, it really was emotional and a very good episode, I felt this really was draining the energy out of me while I was watching it, not because it was boring, but because it was so sad, for some reason I come to love these firefighters and all the characters and hell even Hadley I liked for some reason, and they are family and no matter what they would save once ass even thought they would turn against one another

Probably secretive that he's a undercover police, so Jay trying not to blow his cover cause they probably been working months maybe going undercover to put that mafia guy in jail!

I think I could see the firefighters indirectly involve in the arrest in some way

  7. I had a feeling Clark was not the snitch. They tried to portray him as such during this season, but didn't fall for it. I'm starting to dislike Gabby more and more as the season progresses, and Casey for that matter, and also the awkward relationship these two have always had. I still this episode and the show in general.
