  1. Cops in Pretty Little Liars, they never seem to solve the darn thing

    ReplyDelete
  2. If shows that are already finished are also taken into account, I'd say Randy Disher from Monk.

    ReplyDelete
  3. LOL!!! The cops there are corrupt but hot <333

    ReplyDelete
  4. Actually, the first thing that came to my mind is the Miami Metro Police Department in Dexter.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Every cop in The Following. They are all terrible at their jobs on that show.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Linda from Under the Dome is the worst cop I have EVER seen!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Emma swan..too sweet and changed because of henry to be a cop

    ReplyDelete
  8. Tamsin of Lost Girl coz she is alcoholic, dumbass and terrible at doing her jobs

    ReplyDelete
  9. Linda Esquivel is #1 for me on this list..and a blast from the past. These guys were incredibly inept.

David Johansen as Gunther Toody and John McGinley as Francis Muldoon

  10. I can't discuss my choice without major spoilers. Let's just say he made it personal and skirted his own rules, which resulted in great harm to himself, his partner, and his star witness. I think that's vague enough.

  11. You want to know the worst cop on TV? Every damn investigator on crime shows! Walks around with regular clothes on crime scenes, does not wear gloves most times when touching evidence, hair in the wind, talks to suspects without giving them Miranda's Rights. That's my choice :P

Other by that I mean most of the shows ain't sweet enough for me. Having said that I may give The Following a try but cop shows aren't really my thing. What's really the point of it?, murder and then find the murder is how I see it but I'm not gonna base that on every cop show because I have seen other Coppy ones like Midsomer Murders for example (I don't watch anymore).
    Interesting I wonder who's the best? :)

  13. Linda on Under The Dome and Emma, OUAT. Linda trusting and just going along with everything Big Jim tells her like a puppy dog, even though she knows he was dealing in shady business before the dome appeared.

Emma would be my second choice. She just shouldn't be a cop.

    ReplyDelete
  14. From the ones I've seen, definitely Linda.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yeah, I'm not big on crime shows. I have 3 I watch, but two of them are Sherlock character shows (Sherlock and Elementary) and the other is The Mentalist. I watch Person of Interest too. I guess that would be considered a crime show. Since they're trying to prevent murders I find it more interesting.

I haven't seen Sherlock or Elementary but I do intend watching it (maybe mentalist down the track). I agree though you can feel no connection because the cops don't have real feelings and somewhat proper laws. Its kinda funnily boring when the first five minutes is about a victim going through a normal 24hrs and than slash or shot, its like *oh this person have no chance* predicatable!.
Horror and scientific shows are my thing and when Fringe do come out (soo slow here) I'm gonna get stuck right into it! :)

  17. Car 54 Where are You? Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Me too. I like sci-fi/fantasy a lot. I like TV horror, not movies. TV horror tends not to be too creepy. I can handle shows like Supernatural.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Linda on Under The Dome. There are no words.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yep! I thought you would remember,lol... ;)

    ReplyDelete
  21. So true,lol..!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yeah, but other than that Sarah was a good cop,lol... I could almost forgive her for what she did.

    ReplyDelete
  23. You forgot to mention the female cops or detectives who wear 3 inch heels that can run a marathon in them and still go dancing afterwards to celebrate their collar!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Or the MEs that don't wear face mask or control their hair and stand and do their work in 3" heels.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I stopped watching CSI:Miami because of David Caruso, what an idiot. ;) So voted other.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yep,that too! LoL!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'd say Briggs from Graceland.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hands down, Linda on Under The Dome. She immediately believed Barbie shot Julia and was a serial killer with no evidence. Plus, she's listening to Big Jim!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yeah, she's not good. It's not just that she's listening to Jim, it's that she acts like he's her boss. Jim has been acting like he has a badge, talking about warrants, making arrests, and bringing people up on charges by himself. Jim has no law enforcement powers whatsoever and Linda isn't supposed to be taking her orders from Jim but she lets him walk all over her and the law almost constantly.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Cops from Pretty Little Liars! I mean, COME ON!
Linda from Under the Dome too, worse than a puppet. Her character could have been so much better.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm remembering Fred Gwynne as Muldoon. They were inept, but funny :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nah, I'm pretty sure I got it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. You mean Brooklyn Nine Nine? That premiers tomorrow and I think I'll watch.

    ReplyDelete
  34. mike from Mike and Molly, never does a thing but sit in the dinner and sit in the cop car

    ReplyDelete
  35. Linda's the most voted? I think Linda is a terrific cop, given how desperate Chester's Mills us under the dome. In my opinion, as much as I love her, I gotta say Emma Swan. She's not cut out for it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I always did notice that. Especially when they have opened up a body, have to use some scissors or something and stretch their arm down into the body. I'm looking at the screen goin' "Oh yeah, 'cause not a single strand of that hair is going to land inside the body, right?"

    ReplyDelete
  37. The money I would give to see an episode in which those ladies break a heel while walking and trip and land on the body, thus ruining the crime scene and destroying their careers, could probably pay for the entire episode hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  38. Stella Bonassera from CSI NY, she always got away with her choices in various cases( like season 5 episode 24 or season 1 episode 9) thank god for the change, Sela Ward had a better character tan Melina Kanakaredes

    ReplyDelete
  39. "Miranda's Rights" lolololol

    ReplyDelete
  40. Every cop in the TV show True justice starring Steven Seagal.

    ReplyDelete
  41. To be fair -- just a bad decision on his part. He's a great cop.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Since EVERY single cop on The Following isn't a choice (and why stop at just Ryan), I submit Joanna from Deception who singlehandedly gave them all a run for their money. She's undercover and talking on her cell phone to the police in the hallway of the family she is investigating discussing being undercover. Then she takes a meeting with her FBI handler outside the family business. I was relieved when this show got canceled before she started wearing a "Look at me. I'm undercover." badge.

With The Following and Deception airing back-to-back, I deemed Mondays "Idiot Cop Night" last season and suggested the FBI sue for defamation of character.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Interesting. May I ask what your reasoning is?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Cause she's like every other annoying blonde female lead.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Similar to that is when cops meet someone at a busy bar or restaurant and start blabbing about sensitive material. No one's going to overhear or anything.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Add any superhero/vigilante/person with a secret identity ever. Love how they all come with their own cone of silence in every diner in America.

    ReplyDelete
  47. They were so bad that I don't think I can watch season 2. I started out rooting for this show but it ended up a hate watch. Now that Joe, Claire, and Ryan are all still alive I can't imagine it sucking less.

    ReplyDelete
  48. She sure didn't do anyone any favors tonight. I was hoping the dome shock would work to jump start her brains but I'm afraid she's as brain dead as ever.

    ReplyDelete
  49. that may be because he is the criminal as well.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Agree with that. He was plain unwatchable.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Most importantly, she immediately took the "cool" gun that obviously had not been fired and yet didn't bother to see if Evil Jim's gun was hot. This after knowing that Jim met with Maxine and he admitted to being involved with the drug making.

    ReplyDelete
  52. She's totally clueless though. She picked Junior to be her deputy and he appears to be mentally unstable and shot a man who surrendered, held Angie hostage, etc... She also continues to just accept whatever Big Jim tells her and is unable to see through his BS.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I know he's not technically a cop, but shouldn't Gaius Claudius Glaber be on this list? (Spartacus)

    ReplyDelete
  54. DarkForgottenLostEvil8.5Doctor17 September 2013 at 14:20

I don't really know all these cops well enough to vote. However, though it pains me to say this...Emma Swan isn't really that great in terms of crime-fighting. She's been hoodwinked more times than I can count, her alleged "lie-detector superpower" is always on the fritz, and she has an unlucky tendency to fall into interdimensional vortexes and leave her townsfolk to fend for themselves for long periods of time.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Who voted Linden????? She's great.
The worst one is obviously Linda from UTD.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yep, after the last episode. I come to agree that Linda IS. THE. WORST. COP. EVER.

    ReplyDelete
  57. If including cops from cancelled shows, the worst would be Sheriff Lamb from Veronica Mars, hands down.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Det Carlos Fonnegra Continuum - slow witted and no chemistry, with any other character. Main reason: Victor Webster can't act.

    ReplyDelete
  59. LMAO, they are pretty freaking stupid. And the parents are just as bad.

    ReplyDelete
  60. After the Under the Dome season finale I'm really hating Linda as a cop. so stupid!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Linda from Under the Dome, shes horrible.

    ReplyDelete
  62. The cops on The Secret Circle. Oh right, there weren't any. Despite someone getting murdered every couple episodes, not a single cop ever showed up to investigate. Giving out parking tickets is far more important, that earns income!

    ReplyDelete
  63. To be fair, Emma never visited a police academy or something.
