    After re-watching season 4 I came to realize that "the cure" was the most hilarious, senselessly and needlessly destructive plot The Vampire Diaries has ever come up with.


    In the pursuit of this alleged holy grail, professor Shane died, Galen Vaughn died, an entire coven of witches died, Kol died, Jeremy died which led to Elena's switch being flipped and because of that an innocent waitress died, Silas was raised from his underground tomb, murderous ghosts wreaked havoc on Mystic Falls, and then Bonnie died.


    Why did all of these horrible things happen? For no good reason whatsoever. As it turned out, NOBODY wanted that damn cure. Not Stefan, Not Elena, even Rebekah ended up sacrificing her shot at the cure to save a life. They searched for it for 10 episodes and fought over it for 9 more episodes. In the end no one really wanted the damn thing.

    They kept that storyline from the books...but yeah that's all i got. lol Although i think what they did with it was a very nice move. I didn't expect Katherine to get the cure, BUT now that she will be pure human, that's something i definitely want to see. I think she'll get someone to turn her back and NO ONE will do it. I'm still mad about Bonnie's storyline. Now she's dead and she's the ONLY one out of the entire series that never had a love making scene, at least they could've given that to her before she croaked (seriously it bothers me that they never addressed that, if i went to CC that would be my question, how come they didn't let her get any lovin) And i feel that if they brought Lucy back, ALL of that, with Bonnie's death could have been avoided!! (that would be my other question, when will Lucy be back??)

    I don't have a problem with who ended up with the cure. I figured, as long as it wasn't Damon, Elena, or Stefan I didn't care who got it. In fact, I think I actually predicted that Katherine would end up with it. I'm cool with it. I don't think Katherine will be too anxious to be turned again though. It's too risky. No one knows how the cure works exactly. If it turns out that the cure prevents vampirism, like a vaccine, trying to turn Katherine would end up killing her instead.



    I don't mind Bonnie's death because I agree with why the producers decided to do it. They thought she became too powerful and was an easy out for everyone's problems so they decided to put a stop to it. For now, the show can finally focus on her character instead of using her for her abilities.

    Well originally Damon was suppose to get it, (since he got it accidentally in the books, JP admitted that's who they were going for, until she realized fans knew, then changed it last minute) but i'm glad Katherine got it, b/c she sure as hell didn't want to be human, she loved being a vampire. To see her freaking out as a human, is something i definitely think will be hialrious! lol and that's cool if the cure ends up killing her, b/c everyone on that show hates her anyway. lol (well except Elijah) as for Bonnie, i don't mind that she's dead. TBH, i never really liked Bonnie, and that started back for me at the end of season 1. BUT i don'thate Bonnie, i can tolerate her. She'll be too busy hauting Jeremy and Matt. So i'm not too worried about her, but i will be sad for everyone when they realize she's dead.
