26 Sept 2013

****Bonus poll - Since we did best quote last week, I thought we would spice things up and look at which mysteries surrounding Sleepy Hollow characters you are most intrigued by. Obviously this is not a comprehensive list (especially since I am doing it in the wee hours of the morning) so please let me know what I missed in the comments below as well as your overall thoughts on the second episode.

  1. I really liked this episode even if were not quite at the level of the pilot. I thought the pacing still moved quickly, the character chemistry was good, and the humor to action ratio was spot on. As far as scene goes, I am stuck between the sticky notes, which made me chortle, and both scenes with Sheriff Corbin, who always steals the scene when he appears. I hope he comes back on a regular basis. Mystery is easy - Katrina. She's the most vague main character we have and we know that she played a huge role in the good coven. Through in the trapped between worlds gem and she easily the most intriguing character to me.

  2. The sticky note scenes were great. And I loved Dunn's zombie resurrection.

I think the show has a good rich background. Between the covens and the history and they are tying it into the bible and the end of the world. And we have demons, too. It's definitely a show I'll keep up with all season.

  3. I loved the dream scene and the sticky notes.

I voted Headless Horseman - why does he need his head? for the second poll, but I am intrigued by all the mysteries like Abby and Jenny's connection to the demon and Katrina, etc.

  4. This show has so much potential man! I love it! I'm glad they are doing the 'monster of the week' with a twist that relates to each of their backstories... SO good. This show is so epic it makes me want to hug the person who created it.

  5. I like the diversity in mytharc too. It gives them so many ways to go and they can mix it in unique ways.

  6. I thought the nightmare was a fabulous way to start the show. Nothing like beginning with straight up action and seguing into the mytharc. They do pace so well in Sleepy Hollow.

  7. I am a fan of how they are mixing the standalone with the mytharc too. So far it is still my favorite new show.

  8. Interesting show so far. Love Katrina. The sticky notes! :)

But please, please, no romance between Abbie and Ichabod.

  9. I agree wholeheartedly. If the show goes that route (and especially in a will they-won't they manner) or if shippers start taking over the conversation, it will kill any interest I have in the show. I am thoroughly sick and tired of shipping ruining great shows.

  10. Yes, thank you!!! So sick of shows (cop shows mostly) that goes that route. Not only does it distract from the show, but the shipper fans... Oh my.
