awesome but somber close to the season (for at least the main story, anyway) not sure if this was designed to be a one off or if it was setting up to continue for another season as the whole tunnel story just felt like it came to a halt pending a second season, as I assume that if there is another season the the tunnel will probably become the focus. great performances but couldn't help but feel bad for all the characters as there was no happy ending for anyone (at least at this point)
This really felt like a season finale. I had to check the calendar to make sure there are in fact two eps left. I wonder where they take it from here. So sad that Marco lost his son, but it fit with the tone of the story. What I don't understand, though, is why Sonya and the other cops didn't interrupt the pipe. To keep the water from flowing. They might have been able to save Gus then.
That was a great episode, Sonya trying to lie to spare Marco the horrible truth was heartbreaking as was the hospital scene. I'm really glad Daniel is alive (if in a bad condition) they need to make him and Adriana regulars - I keep saying that but its true! I'm glad they wrapped up the main case the showrunners plans for S2 are to have a few cases rather than just one.
Me too. I think it's a testament to the show that I thought it would have been cliche for Sonya to save him in the nick of time... but boy, did I ever want her to. I like how they threw us the bone of Frye surviving to keep us from total depression. :)
There was nothing they could have done, the tank wasn't filling up that fast, and it was full by the time they got to it. They would have had to get there much sooner.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteGus!! I feel so sad, yet I'm glad the writers didn't take the overused plot of having Sonya save him in the nick of time.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about Daniel and Adriana. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the show.
