TVLine has learned exclusively that Sopranos grad Emily Wickersham — she played A.J.’s girlfriend Rhiannon during the HBO drama’s sixth and final season — is joining the CBS smash as a potential successor to Cote de Pablo’s Ziva.
Wickersham, whose three-episode deal with the show contains a series regular option, will play Bishop, a bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward new agent. She has a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism. She’s traveled extensively, but only feels comfortable at home.” (CBS tends to do these trial runs to ensure the actor/actress in question is a good fit. See also: The Mentalist.)

At least she won't be a love interest.
ReplyDeleteBut excuse me, what the hell happened to her appearing early next year? November's too soon! I'm not ready.
Well I hope she brings a nice spice to the cast. Shakes it up a bit and gives the show a fresh lease on life.
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't have a agent look but I think she fit the describtion of a young althetic girl
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but she isn't fresh face,i don't think they know what that means...
ReplyDeleteIf she does become a regular i bet she does become McGee's love interest..
ReplyDeleteIt's a possibility, but I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteWant to shake things up a bit and make sure she isn't immediately shipped with one of the guys? Make her gay. That would be a nice change of pace including a lesbian character on the show and limit the number of other regulars she could be shipped with.
ReplyDeleteThat would be a nice change.
ReplyDeleteYes, THAT would make her character work, because so far it sounds very generic with the classic bit "she is amazing and gorgeous and super smart but we made her a bit odd and/or socially awkward because she had to be likeable despite the fact that her description points towards a queen bee".
ReplyDeleteI'm just imaging what Tony's first word to her will be.
ReplyDeleteHere is what I would prefer: more emotional stories. Not teenage emotional, like the incessant Tiva-ing, but mature emotional, the stories like 'Semper Fi' or 'Heartland', NCIS squandered a ton of potential because of cheap chemistry-milking, and Cote's exit is their biggest chance in years to right the ship. I hope that they do.
