When we left off, The Mentalist and Firefly took their place in the third round at the expense of Leverage and Revenge. Half of round three is now complete, it's time to find out the other half...
Today we have a very intriguing battle between old and new, with old guard Bones taking on the show which by round two was the only, I repeat ONLY, show that began in the 2012-2013 TV season. That show is NBC's critically acclaimed, ratings-ly challenged Hannibal. It should be a good battle.
We also have two shows that ended their runs in 2013, The Office which last a brilliant nine years, taking on Fringe, which defied the odds for around three of its five year run. Fringe has always been loved on STV, so can it keep up its 100% record of reaching the third round?
For anyone who missed the rules, here they are again:

ReplyDeleteWhile i liked the first couple of seasons of Bones, it was never something that i was ver interested in so my vote goes to Hannibal which had a great first season. In the second poll it's very very easily Fringe for me.. One of my favourite show against a comedy that was ok for me(i prefered the original actually).

ReplyDeleteI chose Bones for the sheer reason that I haven't seen Hannibal (yet) apart from the pilot. Bones is much too silly and soapy these days IMO.

ReplyDeleteIt has to be Bones and Fringe for me. Bones is my favourite show on tv and I don't understand how you can compare a show that has lasted an unbelievable 9 years to a brand new one yet to find its feet. I also loved Fringe so easy choices for me this time :)
ReplyDeleteHannibal easily for me in the first, Bones was great for the first 3 seasons, but it lost a lot following that season for me as it focused heavily on the romantic aspects more than I cared for. The second was tougher, as I love both shows but I had to go with Fringe as it was consistently excellent and the Office had a few weak and uneven latter few seasons
