  1. It was quite vicious, I wonder where Eric went

  2. I liked this ep much better than last weeks. I wonder if this sets up part of next season as I wonder if Violet will play a part...... I do hope that the effect of the fairy blood is only temporary and that the current daywalkers have to go back to "regular vampire lives"... I feel it would severely detract from the show (kinda like TVD/Originals - where too many vamp characters have daylight rings....)

  3. Very last act of The Godfather like

  4. I loved the vampire revenge stuff, but Terry's long, drawn out pointless funeral ruined the ep for me. There was no reason on earth to dedicate nearly an entire ep to Terry's funeral. What a waste of air time and our time.

  5. Love it when Eric ripped off the Vamp Camp doctor's stick and jewels off with his bare hand and left him to painfully bleed to death. :)

That's what he rightfully deserved for killing Nora! :)

It's a shame that Sarah survived, I would have preferred to see that Bible beeotch die painfully.

    Hopefully she will next Sunday!

  6. There were parallels... I thought the script was pretty good.

  7. I loved it. Eric pulling off the Doctor's penis in one swift move, saying "I'll be back in ten minutes to see if you bleed out" Then to have Bill come along and stop on his face! (That was a nice move, i gotta say). Then him (Eric) talking to Jason, about him dreaming of him, lol oh man that will be funny. Then Eric stroking Pam's hair saying he saved her the doctor, and how he takes good care of her. Sigh, i love them. The funeral was nice, and I did enjoy those Terry flashbacks, I hope Lafayette will try and communicate with him. But if he doesn't i'm ok with that too. Eric saving Ginger, hahaha poor thing, I love her, she really is part of the group, even though she's been compelled so many times she can't even remember her last name. But i love how the vamps make her (sorta speak) One of their own. I really don't like Jason's girl, and fuck!! I really wanted Sarah dead!! And WHERE THE HELL DID ERIC GO?!?!?! I hope he went to find Sarah and kill her!! It doesn't look like he'll be in their next week, but it's not a finale w/o him, so i take that back, he'll be there....Sorry Pam, but you still have your progeny and you have a Sister, i know they're no Eric, but they are your family, and you'll just have to a adjust...at least for a little bit....and am i the only one whose a little tired of Sookie and Warlow?? I was pretty disappointed when they made him yet another Love interest for Sookie, personally i think they need to finish the Sooric storyline!!! With the real Eric, attitude, memory and all. They really made it their business to not let them have any scenes in this entire season, i mean WTF! They've only had one scene this season, and I for one am pissed about that!! Terry...R.I.P....you will be truly missed. Please visit Lafayette.

  8. Eric and Pam really are tickling together. Their chemistry is beyond everything I think. I just love the way Pam looks at Eric everytime, even if she is furious about him. And Eric - I'd fall for him, even tho I'm straight and everything. He is just... so freaking amazing O_O

  9. I agree. The idea of death and the idea of how one might interpret the concept of "Life Matters" points out our individualized political and/or spiritual motivations in our lives, as Terry had fought for saving ALL life in this flashback, the reality of WAR and HATE creates a bigger survival of fittest-like atmosphere in which people start taking sides as to which "lives" matter (Bill, Eric, Jessica, Jason, Lilith's Sirens, and James all showed us this in the episode)...Even poor Terry, via Patrick realized her couldn't outrun what they did to in Iraq. This is about things coming full circle.

The True Blood Universe is full of a lot of Christian-Protestant themes

  10. Really neat episode!!! It had a lot of intense moments of "life and death" and Terry's funeral and flashbacks were really well used in relation to the horrors of everyone else's behavior.

Not so keen on Sookie and Alcide...

Think Violet could still be the table turner on the plot.

Either Sarah Newlin disappears only to return next season, or she's got to evolve somehow before then. I don't feel like they're going to kill her just yet...

Poor Steve (thanks Jess and Eric). I hope Jess gets better story line next season.

Violet seems to REALLY like Jason. And even though it was kind of Jason to spare Sarah, I don't know if he should have...

Like that Sookie embraced her telepathy and shared something really nice about Terry.

Like the whole looking into a person's soul concept.

Really nice of James to save Billith, but again not sure if he should have. -Curious that the Siren's want to take him back with them...

Def a lot of polarizing good and bad deeds going on!!

    Wonder where Eric is going?????

Fun to see the vamps high running around in the sunXD...which makes me want to leave you all with this song:

  11. I'm not tired of Sookie and Warlow, but I'm def ready to move on from visits in Fairy-Realm and/or to see Sookie turned or getting more info on this Warlow & Lilith history in relation to Lillith's plans...

I don't know what it is about Violet, but she reminds me of Lilith and her Sirens....

  12. I think the biggest thing that I took from this episode was the fact that Pam and Eric can communicate telepathically. I'm not sure if anyone really "caught" that but, the head movements and all kind of gave it away before Eric flew away. That plus the other vampires spread around the world knew exactly which true blood trucks to take down. Seems like Eric still has some tricks up his sleeves.

  13. This ep was just awesome!!!
Loved the massacre at the camp. Body parts everywhere … Not original, but cool. When Eric ripped this dr. dick off … awesome. The psychiatrist shouldn't have told Eric about Pam. Big mistake. His last. Not that I feel sorry for him. Or any other human there. I'm just sorry they didn't kill Sarah. Hopefully next week ;)
I just didn't get the end. The vamps in Honolulu … did they also destroy the TB or were they having a party? Since I doubt they knew about the hepV, they probably threw a party. Maybe Eric killed some of these scientists too soon. Maybe there was/is a cure.

  14. Let's hope the psycho bitch dies next week ;)
The last two eps were horrible. I liked Nora. It was horrible see her dying.

    ReplyDelete
  15. That's one of my favorite scenes too :) I loved the whole massacre. I mean seriously, did they think those vamps would just be quiet and let people torture and kill them? It was just a question of time till they striked back.
Already posed it, but once more, just for you: I still have hope the psycho bitch dies next week.

  16. Pretty sure they attacked the True Blood van because they wanted to drink the True Blood - not because they wanted to destroy it. :(

  17. We have kind of seen these kinds of kenetic abilities between maker and prodgeny before, as Eric and Bill have summoned Pam & Jessica on occasion, but I agree it gives us more of a "telepathic" ability, or that Pam and Eric just know how to read each other very very well!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I agree, The Fairy realm is tiresome now. Over it. I'm actually getting tired of Lilith and her human tampon squad. LOL I'm glad Jessica came to Bill's rescue when they were about to go inside him, once again. Ugh!

  19. Very mixed feelings about the episode. All the vampire scenes are probably amongst my favorite true blood scenes from the entire scenes - it was A+, really awesome. Loved Eric and Bill both on this one, more Eric though. And Jason and Eric together was really cool, can't wait to see what hilarious dream sequence they will have. However, the entire funeral sequence didn't do it for me, I flashforwarded most of it... I don't get it, I don't think Terry was that big of a deal for the audience for them to spend this much time with its goodbye... If it was someone like Bill I would totally get it, but like this I couldn't care, which sucked because it brought down what would otherwise have been one of my favorite episodes of the show

    ReplyDelete
  20. Maybe if you think about it like you did, but when watching the episode I simply could not care a bit about those scenes, I had to flashforward them...

    ReplyDelete
  21. I would agree that they sometimes felt convoluted in contrast to each other, and sometimes, when film makers try this, the audience usually doesn't respond well to it, because sometimes it feels out of place and argumentively it could be perceived as poor execution, but to me, the themes are just too obvious for me not to think even the differences in those scenes was also not intentional.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't question that you are right and that it was intentional... My problem is that I simply did not care for Terry enough (or Arlene... or Andy... or Lafayette) enough to care for those scenes, so the whole "meaning of life and death" theme of that part of the episode was just lost on me.

  23. The only reason I think it's important is because the characters themselves are changing belief systems/behaviors and Terry and Nora both just came 'full circle", which might be thematic to 'the circle of life'

I always really loved Terry because with his exception of Iraq, I believe he (Godric and Sookie's Grandma) are meant to invoke the important part of series...whom we should be.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Loved all the Vamp Camp stuff, as usual, from Sarah's demented praying to Steve's laugh out loud death 'I love you....JASON STACKHOUSE!', and while Terry's funeral was done very well, I can't help not feeling anything at all - his character just wasn't as important as they're trying to force us to believe. Hell, he got a longer funeral than Gran! - while a lot of more important characters didn't even get funerals or any sort of death follow-up.

Not sure what direction the finale will go in but I'm interested to find out - the ending was certainly very intriguing, and I loved that it ended on Pam after week after week of Bill centric cliffhangers.

  25. I feel I'm the only person who saw the funeral for what it was (in my opinion, you're welcome to your own opinion).
They contrasted a very human event (the funeral, which was done so well) against the vampires revenge on their captors.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I liked Terry's character and I know he's been around since day 1 of the series, but I kept wonder...Half the ep to his funeral? Seemed really odd and felt like filler so they could hold justify another ep.

Other than that I quite enjoyed the episode..

    ReplyDelete
  27. I know a lot of people feel that way about Terry, but I think Terry represents both the whole 'you can't outrun what you did' thing and is probably the most good person in the series next to the late Godric and Adele Stackhouse (They all inspired goodness and that 'life matters'). They might have made a bigger deal about him, because he is the character that most recently showed us "the baggage of WAR", which might coincide thematically with Warlow and Lilith's story depending on how Lilith died and what's currently happening now...It might be his death (and Nora's) is marker of some major turning point...

I'm kind of curious if we are really done with Terry though. He came full circle much like Nora did, but his story kind of has one thread with the sniper, should Andy ever find evidence, or if the sniper actually had some kind of unknown motive. But I don't think a plot with Arlene being trouble and Terry visiting Lafayette is out of the question.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ya, but it even goes more nitty gritty than that because you have characters doing good deeds and others doing bad deeds simultaneously at the vamp camp...

You have Billith who has come to save our gang from killed by the sun, then Jessica shoves Steve out of the group, while Jason just watches in horror, while Eric also came and freed the other vamps and spared Jason, but choices to defy Billith's wishes to save Steve, while Steve says goodbye and I love you--but Sarah thinks it's to her, until then he blurts out Jason's name, followed by Jason gunning down Sarah and not being able to kill her, to Billith almost being claimed by Lilith's Sirens as he lays dying, until James convinces Jessica that they can save him by giving back the blood, and then Violet marches along to find Jason, and then Eric, who has also killed so many guards and scientists just leaves Pam with no explanation!

It was so insane!XD -But the contrast was brilliant!

  29. This episode was absolutely terrible. The fact that they dedicated more then half the show to terrys funeral..did it for me. Terry was a pointless character whose character and storyline went in circles. In my opinion, true blood directors have no balls. It took them years just to kill off this idiot. I was expecting to see more of a fight fron the humans at the vampire camp. Instead, it was compleemly disappointing. Bill is supposed to be lillith, the strongest vampire and looks totally weak between the scenes with sookie and the lack of really killing anyone off. Also, the state and storylines of the shifters, werewolves, and fairies have agitated me more then ever. Sunday's season finale can't possibly fix the damage the directors have done to the show. Its over, true blood fans. Its time that this is show to be put out of its misery.
