DIVERGENT is a thrilling action-adventure film set in a future where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it's too late. Based on the best-selling book series by Veronica Roth.

    No one has any superpowers in this world, although I could see how you could take it that way. Divergent just means that she can't be conclusively categorized in one group.

    Although it also has a future dystopia setting, Divergent is quite different from Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is more about class warfare based on one group suppressing the others and no one has choices. Divergent is all about personal choices and is the beginning of a fight for power. In fact Divergent might be best classified as a Panem story right before the Capitol took over.
