  1. Amy Poehler and Julia Louis-Dreyfus has my vote, they're brilliant funny ladies.

  2. Lead actor: Jim Parsons

    Lead actress: Zooey Deschanel

  3. Jake Johnson should definitely get it. He had some amazing character growth this season and such a hilarious script, finally getting to see more into Nick. Also he is more than fabulous in jumping from a funny scene to a serious one and delivering it great. He deserves it.

  5. I don't watch enough comedies to be able to make a list but I would nominate for sure:

    - Jim Parsons, TBBT
    - Joel McHale, Community (say what you may about this season and I know it is never happening because of it, but he was outstanding as always, especially in the scenes involving his dad)
    - Jake Johnson, New Girl - for the win already! He should have been nominated last year but this year he was outstanding, he pulled all stops. Give him the emmy already. I will be pissed if he is not nominated.
    - I have also felt that Matthew Perry did a stellar job with Go On, he was very good both with the more depressing and with the funnier scenes. But he won't get a nomination with his show being canceled

    As for the girls:

    - Is Kaley Cuoco supporting or lead? I would nominate her, after all these years doing an outstanding job with Penny. With a smaller actress, she would be unbearable, but with her, we all come to love her, and she is the heart of the big bang theory.
    - Zoey Deschnel, New Girl
    - In other circumstances (read: had the show not been prematurely canceled), I would love to give a nod to Krysten Ritter for her stellar work in Apartment 23.

  7. Did not know. Thanks. It does sound weird to me why she is submitting as supporting though, I have always thought of her as one of the leads along with Sheldon and Leonard. Oh well

This is a surprisingly though one! It was hard for me to decide, but in the end I chose these:

All I'm saying is Jake Johnson BETTER get nominated at the very least! He's been PHENOMENAL in this season of New Girl. So funny and adorable. And such an amazing actor. So talented. It would be pure cruelty to not nominate him. All the critics and fans have been praising him non stop. He deserves it!

Yep, he has me rolling to the floor every time! I love Nick's anger issues!

  11. Yeah, Jim Parsons always does a fantastic job, and seems pretty likely to be in the mix again.

I do agree absolutely about Joel McHale: a sub-par season for the show means that nod will never happen, but he really had some outstanding work in there. Jeff's confrontation with his father, especially, was just brilliant, and was honestly one of my favorite character-moments on the series to date.

Joel McHale and Tina Fey. Community deserves recognition, and McHale earned it with the Thanksgiving episode.

  13. I agree with you 100%, even though a sub-par season of Community was still an excellent season IMO, I don't share the generalized dislike for the season, although I obviously recognize that it was not on the same level as the previous ones. I would also add Gillian Jacobs for supporting who had a wonderful year of material and really shined with her britta. Again, no chance it happens this year, but she had an amazing year

  14. Very true. Sub-par Community really IS still better than most things on television. :)

  15. Melissa McCarthy and Jim Parsons!

  18. Joel Mc Hale of course.
Matthew Perry because Go On cancellation seemed so unfair.
For lead actress I don't really care, because honestly I think each of them deserve it.

  22. Nick!!! I mean, Jake Johnson! He showed us everything he got this season, and it's a lot. He showed us funny, serious, romantic, hurt, confused, angry, crazy... He was amazing in every episode, every moment, every scene. His character grew a lot, and that was only possible, among other things, because Jake's such a great actor and because he was really commited to Nick, the show and the story. I loved it and I really think he deserves it this year!
