So Joe really is dead then?
ReplyDeleteNot sure 100% but it appears unlikely.
ReplyDeleteGlad Joe is not back!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed him early in the season, but he (and the series) became caricatures by season's end. Returning him after a self-sacrificed death would be too much to believe.
More so just glad Purefoy can move onto better series now!
I'm not sure sure Joe is dead but its good to see a new villain!
ReplyDeleteThey're casting a new villain for the season though.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I said it appears unlikely.
ReplyDeleteinteresting and although I will miss Purifoy, it will be interesting to see how the writers develop these characters as the villains and their relationship with Ryan (if he remains the main protagonist)
ReplyDeleteThis is a good thing. Joe being alive would stretch believe-ability even more on a show that has little room to spare for that. Joe's dead but he got revenge by having Molly stab Ryan and Claire. Would've been better if Claire had died also, but alas can't win 'em all.
ReplyDeleteActually this really surprises me. I figured Emma would be the main villain next year...until midseason when it is revealed that Joe is indeed alive of course.
ReplyDeleteMost likely we will find that Joe is really running things and not dead about halfway through the season.
ReplyDeleteUntil I hear Purefoy has another role that precludes him from showing up in a "surprise twist," I am assuming he is still alive but recovering from his wounds. I agree that the show and almost every character became a caricature about halfway through.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing but this is good news for me because I'm still furious at Emma for killing Jacob. I hope she gets what she deserves in S2.
ReplyDeleteI wish they had Parker survive than Claire...
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I spent most of season 1 wanting her to be killed off for screwing with Joey's head. She was actually #1 on my hit list above Joe.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Parker could have been a plot twist in season 2 and most importantly, it wouldn't have been yet another "the FBI always loses" event in the show which became increasingly annoying as the season went on.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about Joe being dead. It would not surprise me at all if they bring him back towards season's end (or earlier) as the big twist.
ReplyDeleteWhy would they cast a new villain if the old villain was still alive? Unless they plan on having two main villains.
ReplyDeleteThe Following has so many strikes against it from the first season. I agree that bringing him back would hurt more than help no matter how much people like the actor.
ReplyDeleteI hope this show goes more and more complicated. I like that. I wanna see something new. I hope for twists but not cliches.
ReplyDeletespoiler alert!
ReplyDeletein season 2 joe only appear to be hardy's hallucination and in flashback only
in the season 2 finale, it's going to be revealed that joe is alive...
kevin wants us to let go of joe, but when the season 2 ends, the bring him back........
sorry for the english!!!
