  1. So Joe really is dead then?

  2. Not sure 100% but it appears unlikely.

  3. Glad Joe is not back!
I enjoyed him early in the season, but he (and the series) became caricatures by season's end. Returning him after a self-sacrificed death would be too much to believe.

More so just glad Purefoy can move onto better series now!

  4. I'm not sure sure Joe is dead but its good to see a new villain!

  5. They're casting a new villain for the season though.

  6. That's why I said it appears unlikely.

  7. interesting and although I will miss Purifoy, it will be interesting to see how the writers develop these characters as the villains and their relationship with Ryan (if he remains the main protagonist)

  8. This is a good thing. Joe being alive would stretch believe-ability even more on a show that has little room to spare for that. Joe's dead but he got revenge by having Molly stab Ryan and Claire. Would've been better if Claire had died also, but alas can't win 'em all.

  9. Actually this really surprises me. I figured Emma would be the main villain next year...until midseason when it is revealed that Joe is indeed alive of course.

  10. Most likely we will find that Joe is really running things and not dead about halfway through the season.

  11. Until I hear Purefoy has another role that precludes him from showing up in a "surprise twist," I am assuming he is still alive but recovering from his wounds. I agree that the show and almost every character became a caricature about halfway through.

  12. I was thinking the same thing but this is good news for me because I'm still furious at Emma for killing Jacob. I hope she gets what she deserves in S2.

  13. I wish they had Parker survive than Claire...

  14. Agreed. I spent most of season 1 wanting her to be killed off for screwing with Joey's head. She was actually #1 on my hit list above Joe.

  15. Me too. Parker could have been a plot twist in season 2 and most importantly, it wouldn't have been yet another "the FBI always loses" event in the show which became increasingly annoying as the season went on.

  16. I feel the same way about Joe being dead. It would not surprise me at all if they bring him back towards season's end (or earlier) as the big twist.

  17. Why would they cast a new villain if the old villain was still alive? Unless they plan on having two main villains.

  18. The Following has so many strikes against it from the first season. I agree that bringing him back would hurt more than help no matter how much people like the actor.

I hope this show goes more and more complicated. I like that. I wanna see something new. I hope for twists but not cliches.
