Most quotes won big time in the last set of polls, more than usual. The fan favorite quip about how Dean always loses in rock-paper-scissors because he always picks scissors came the closest with 45% of the vote. Fans complaining a lot and "poke her with a stick" were also close with 45% and 44% of the vote respectively. Today's polls are chock full of awesome quotes, so much so that I really wish they had gone against the last set of quotes instead. I want all but 3 of these to continue to the next round. So many winners ended up in this part of the bracket that it is the most difficult day of voting for me. Hope it is easier for you. Happy voting!

9. This poll is completely unfair because both quotes should move on. Here's hoping for a tie but if it cannot be, I'd have to go with Sam's show line since it is tied as my favorite Sam line.
ReplyDelete10. Classic John or season 8 brothers. Surprisingly, the winner is John. Go figure? It may be the only time I vote for John for anything positive.
11. Okay I can tell we are in the later rounds because again these are great quotes. I like the car one slightly more so it gets my vote.
12. Another impossible choice. This one is going to take me a lot longer to decide. On one hand we have the only season 8 quote I am really rooting for and one the other one of my favorite memories from the hellatus. Either one that wins is good for me.
13. Tonight is all about the great quotes. Since the Pilot quote is going to win, I feel free to vote for shooting Bela.
14. Finally an easy one. Hunting Chuck was number one on my list in season 5 too.
15. Another easy one. It is going to take a really, really bad quote to make me vote for the Mystery Spot quote, one of my least favorite still in the contest. 10 year boy humor again. On the other hand we have one of the quotes that made Tall Tales awesome. No contest.
16. Yikes! I really want at least 1 Crowley quote to continue to round 4 but I think I have to go with the family goodness in this one. Awesome quote from an awesome scene in a decidedly less awesome episode.
some really tough ones this round but there were 1 or 2 polls where i didn't really care for either quote so i didn't vote.
ReplyDeletehardest ones for me was the sam and dean in tandem quote from mystery spot against "too precious for this world" and the original "bitch""jerk" against "can i shoot her?" "not in public". for both i went with the first one but it pained me not to vote for the other one
"i lost my shoe" and "dude, you fugly" are some of my all time fave's that i use often

ReplyDelete3-9) I have to go with the shoe quote,the way it was said was just too funny.
3-10) I love the pilot, while anything to do with season eight rubs me up the wrong way, as nothing said in it convinces me,in the least not even a brother quote that I would normally love ,so John's now-historic quote gets it.
3-11) I go for the Faith quote, as it says so much in such an understated way about how both boys are feeling.
3-12) After having just dissed season eight, I'm now gonna go for the season 8 quote, but it could have come from any season and I think it's funny.:)
Teddy's cute too though.
3-13) A bit torn here as I like them both. I'm tempted to vote for the Bela quote because I thought that was such a cute moment between the bros. but "Bitch, jerk" has to get the vote for me.
3-14) A difficult choice here too. Too bad Sam didn't go for Chuck, seeing that we're told he did write more books, seemingly even after he disappeared, so maybe Sam could have ganked his ghost or whatever, but I vote for 'what's out there in the dark' as it is/was what SPN was all abiout.
3-15) While I enjoyedt the bros. talking in tandem, I'm gonna vote for the Sam quote. It was just funny as was the expression on the other guy's face.
3-16) I like the family road trip with the boys in the back seat, but Crowley gets it this time. 'Denim-wrapped nightmares' is just too great a description to pass up.:)

3-9: The entire episode was just hilarious (Dean making Bela catch the rabbit's foot is one of my favorite moments).

3-11: Scarecrow because of how much it made me laugh.
3-12: Picked Sam, as it's funnier to me than Dean's quote.
3-13: Pilot, I'm still eagerly waiting for them to call each other that.
3-14: Sam's quote. (I threw a coin, as I couldn't pick between these two).
3-15: Voted for Sam, awkward hugs are always hilarious.
3-16: Denim-wrapped nightmares, enough said.

Dean's adorable line because it needs the support, John's pilot line because it's the pilot, Fugly always puts a smile on my face, I always loved fabric softener bear line, classic lines always beat snarky lines so the Jerk/Bitch line wins, Scared of the dark line wins because pilot, Mystery Spot's dialogue, and the Song Remains the Same because it's Season 1-5

ReplyDeleteThere are some real classics in this one including your all time fav's. There are going to be a lot of my favorite quotes gone after this round. Of course the 2 I really do not like will make it through, the quote from Trial & Error and the tandem quote from Mystery Spot. They will likely go against each other for the final four too.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, but console myself that at least the Croatoan quote made it through. I didn't expect it to. Today's polls are going to be worse for me. 3-12 = This is the only season 8 quote I hope makes it. So very funny, so classic Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteI love the rabbit's foot moment too. It was SmartDean coming up with a spur of the moment plan that worked. It rarely gets better than that.

I also chose "adorable" because it was losing. I really like both quotes though and wish both would make it through.

ReplyDeleteIt helps to have the episode titles next to the quote. :-) I can place every title to its season although occasionally I have to think a second with seasons 4 and 5, which overlap a lot in my mind.

The nouns don't stick with me. If you describe plot point I'll know exactly which ep you're referring to but mention ep title, actor or writer name...and I likely won't know what you're talking about. Online forums have forced me to get better a noticing things like episode title or character name.
ReplyDeleteI understand that. Having spent so much time with Supernatural, I am pretty familiar with the ins and outs of it. However with other shows I watch, I have to constantly refer back to IMDb or other sources to figure out what's going on. Especially if it's sci fi and the character names are all alien.

ReplyDeleteWell today, five out of eight made it for me, so fair enough; but I'm sorry to see the two pilot quotes hitting the dust.
Sadly I expect the Croatoan quote to lose to the Yellow Fever dissertation next round. That long thing is destined to be the bane of my posting for at least another 2 rounds.
