The last scene was the best part of the whole episode. Finally someone found Angie! And Joe's seizure was extra creepy when he did that "Shhhh" to the camera.
Julia is truly useless and annoying... other than that it was an interesting episode. I'm glad Big Jim found Angie. Though my aunt and I are 100% sure he's just gonna close the door to her face....
Definitely an improvement from last week. I hope they'll explain in afuture episode why exactly the military decided to leave. Big Jim seems to be driven by power and control but simultameously trying to keep the town safe. I guess we'll find out next episode which is higher on his priority list. I think he'll fix the leak and leave Angie there to protect his own reputation by protecting Jr.'s. Now that Julia partially knows the truth about truth about her husbandk, I hope she returns to investigating the dome.
I'll really looking forward to the next episodes. I think this episode showed us that some of the characters aren't who we thought they were and that their true colors are yet to be shown.
Alright episode, but none of the episodes have really stood out to me. If this were Fall/Spring time where I had a bunch of other shows to watch, I'd drop this one, but there's nothing else on Mondays so I guess I'll be sticking with it and hope it gets better.
ok ep... other than some forward movement in some of the plots, this felt a bit predictable and clunky with the "reverend" going off the deep end, and the whole lead up to the sherrif deputizing Junior... making you wonder if he will snap back to reality or try to abuse his new found authority.... easy guess I'm thinking
Creepiest scene? Linda hands Junior a badge, having been impressed by his skill manning the hospital entrance, and as Junior turns to walk away, we see the most evil smile cross his face. The episode was chock full of discoveries, as Julia discovered Barbie had connections to her husband, Jim discovered Angie in the basement (agree he won't set her free, but first he has to fix his water pipe), Joe and Norrie discovered that they have seizures when they touch, and that they utter that pink stars comment, Julia discovered her dire financial situation, and we discover Dr. Shumway was being targeted by Barbie because of gambling debts.
I rewatched part of the first episode, looking for Easter eggs. So far, I only noticed that Jim Rennie was reading a book about Churchill. That mean anything to you? Not me, either.
Linda giving the badge to Junior just like that touched the too much irrealistic barrier for me that so often bugs me on OUAT but other than that it was a very good episode, I love this show
I get your argument, but I think the fact that they are so cut off and desperate kinda justifies it.... When Once pulls crap like this I can't even make logical excuses IMO which is worse.
Okay, I'm four episodes in an thinking about dropping the show.
It's just not really that good, is it? Let's be honest.
I do love a good mystery, and you don't get much better mysteries than massive dome randomly falling out of the sky over entire towns. I really want to follow the show just to find out what's going on. But the whole 'pink stars are falling' seizure thing is quite cringeworthy to watch. Really really terrible.
Making Junior deputy is just ridiculous. I know there isn't exactly a pool of experienced police officers to choose from, but one speech in a hospital doorway doesn't qualify you to become a sheriff's deputy, even if you are the mayor's son. Barby, or any one of the older gents from the hospital would be a better candidate than some spoilt high-school kid. Stupid.
I'm a sucker for the mystery so I will probably not follow through on my threat to stop watching Under the Dome, but it better start getting seriously good in the next few episodes. Or... I'll... do something horrible to CBS and they'll all be eating pie with the big man.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
second best episode of the serie !!

Marginally better than last episode.
ReplyDeleteStephen King must be really desperate for cash if he approved this crappy show. Dropping it.

ReplyDeleteOh god I think you're right... I have a bad feeling Big Jim is going to just close the door on Angie and just forget everything he saw.

ReplyDeleteHowever, until then Angie will stay locked up...
Yeah I agree with you, it is worse with OUAT. Here, it makes more sense.
ReplyDeleteYou mean to tell me you don't watch Major Crimes or King and Maxwell or Siberia lol
