I think Deb is reaching a whole new level. It's horrible to see her like this. Of course Dex has to help Deb. He's not only responsible for her situation, he's also her brother and the only family she has. He drugged her! I suggested it from the beginning. Drugging her and taking her away to recover. I just never believed he would actually do it. If the second package is for Dexter, I would be worried about Harry. We don't know how this guy is ticking. I doubt he has a code that includes "Don't kill children". "You analyzing me now?" Well, honey, it's her job. Vogel was so surprised to learn that Deb knows everything. "Don't look at me. I think the truth is overrated" Yeah, in her situation it might even fit. Wow. Two serial killers. And one of them is a cannibal. Someone said, we might be headed that way. Congrats, you were right. One thing I wonder. If the Surgeon shot this guy to cover that he wasn't the killer but just another victim it would only make sense if he planned to stop killing or changing the ritual (the way he kills). Both is not very believable. So, if he wanted the cops to believe they got the killer, it will work only till the next corpse shows up.
Well "Dexter is Delicious" (and Hannibal) does seem like it is source material, although instead of traditional cult, where just going down a list.
Vogal looked pretty spooked when the phone rang and found the "His and Her" gift boxes, so going along with the possibility that she is not the brain surgeon, I have to wonder if the person who is, is more than a patient, but a relative? However, there are moments in certain scenes where Vogal looks and behaves so MUCH like Dexter, that the thought crossed my mind, if they are not blood related some how? (I never thought Brain looked like Dexter at all).
Pretty awesome of Quinn to be so nice to Deb and Dexter (but I swear he's going to die). I really loved the scene where Dexter and Vogal come and get Deb after she tries to confess to Quinn about LaGeurta! -But I suspect that Vogal (like many of the other characters) has jealousy issues, which is what I also think is pushing the brain surgeon, as "the butcher paper" in the second episode would be an indicator that the brain surgeon knew already about Dexter (and possibly all of Vogal's other patients.) I think even Vogal may be a sociopath.
I think the women who came to Elway and Deb for proof that her husband is cheating said she couldn't tell it was her husband in the photos was lying, because she is going to kill her husband. (I think that's why she paid them for their services anyways)
Really like the Deb and Dex dinner scene, but too bad it didn't really help Deb any. Going with the novels, I have to wonder if the series will end with Deb pregnant with either Elway's or Quinn's child????
Also liked the opening scene with Harrison! I'm glad they have him be apart of the final season.

Agreed. It's curious that he would suddenly change the ritual only to cover his tracks, but he would imagine that he cares more about Vogal and Dexter than Miami Metro?! Maybe it will turn out the change in rituals are like Tabloos-relating to the victims and their crimes somehow?
(And J.C. is doing SUCH a good job, but I'm curious to see what will change her perception---although, finally that "car scene" is coming in next week's episode! I just can't wait to see it!!!)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

One of my favorite episodes!

Yes! First Deb tries to kill Dex then she saves him (if we believe the article). Can't fucking wait!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you see that Vogel is writing about Dex? Not so sure it's such a good idea. Never ever piss off a serial killer.
