Person of Interest - because I have The Machine, Finch, Reese, Shaw, and Bear. The Machine doesn't get affected by the apocalypse - it's good like that ;-)
Nice question! And hard to answer: Fringe: the observers scared the crap out of me, so no. Dollhouse: wouldn't like to have my mind wiped out! Jericho: Nuke? Rather not. Defiance: maybe, but not sure. Revolution: safe bet, as we could survive without electricity. TWD: As fun as a zombie apocalipse looks like, no, because I probably would end up a zombie xD Falling Skies: This could also have been a choice, but I'd rather not deal with the harnest. BGS: Not sure, haven't seen much of BGS TSCC (My choice): though the Terminators are scary as hell, sure, it is a battle I would like to be in!
Can't vote as I didn't watch any of the shows (except for a handful of Dollhouse episodes and some of pre-apocalypse Fringe), but man, this is one cool and original poll. :)
A lot of these I haven't seen, but Revolution almost seems ideal in some respects, because of the idea that there are little bits of advanced tech out there.
The Observer occupation I think would suck, considering their eagerness to experiment on humans (Simon's head! Yikes!!!)
Battlestar - if we're talking Caprica before the second Cylon War, that could be neat because of the virtual tech, but if we're talking the aftermath in which one would have to be fighting it out in space, I think I'll pass!
I'd have to say Defiance and Revolution scenarios as from what I gathered, there wasn't anyone/thing that was blatantly out to kill you from the outset.... lol
Revolution - I could deal with just no electricity and no monsters/aliens/machines trying to kill me, although I'd need to switch jobs then because the one I have now depends on electicity! :)
I would completely go for zombie apocalypse! Cracked had an article for 7 reasons why it would be no big deal. http://www.cracked.com/article_18683_7-scientific-reasons-zombie-outbreak-would-fail-quickly.html
Well, in all of them they pretty much lose all power and measure of civilization, or pretty dang close to it (tech turning against you counts as pretty dang close), so.. I'd go with Revolution. Easiest to survive in. As for which would be the most awesome to survive in? Walking Dead!! Only problem is, everyone seems to die, so I wouldn't want that for my post apocalyptic world, I'd just want to watch it from the safety of my tv.
Although chances are that it would be easiest to survive without electricity and technology a la Revolution, I think I'd rather have aliens or zombies take me out quickly than have to go through the withdrawals.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Heheh in Pakistan we're always dealing with power shortages anyway, so I might do better in a Revolution type situation
ReplyDeleteI hate the show but Revolution's 'apocalypse' seems the easiest to survive in.

ReplyDeleteexactly :)

Fringe, because if you can just hold out until 2036, then it'll be undone.
ReplyDeleteAnd technically even if you die, you'll come back to life!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I live in Pakistan too.

ReplyDeleteFalling Skies, because some of those aliens are actually rather nice.
ReplyDeleteDollhouse and Terminator. Apocalypse: Hard Mode.

ReplyDeletethis is really difficult to answer. but being a scientist i think i might be able to survive in a Fringe universe. xD
ReplyDeleteMuch easier to live without power the zombies coming to eat you. I vote Revolution.
ReplyDeleteRevolution - I could deal with just no electricity and no monsters/aliens/machines trying to kill me, although I'd need to switch jobs then because the one I have now depends on electicity! :)
ReplyDeleteJericho, I wouldn't want to give up power, or deal with aliens/zombies or anything thats bent on Earth's destruction
