Hollywood movie studio Paramount has commissioned three new Terminator movies as part of a new stand-alone trilogy. After Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed his return to the franchise in the upcoming Terminator movie — which begins shooting in January 2014 — Deadline reports that Skydance Productions, Annapurna Pictures, and Paramount Pictures will release the first of the three new movies on June 26th, 2015.

ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed the movie franchise for the most part, (maybe not T3 so much)... and I'm really curious if they will do a remake or a reboot... I've read some rumors that speculated that the story might be that Skynet will send a terminator (possibly played by the Rock) back to kill Sarah Connor's parents/grandparents, and that Arnold will be playing a human this time and somehow becomes the "template" for the future T series.... it will be interesting to see how they plan to use an older Arnold. Personally, I would've liked to see either the continuation after TSCC, or T: Salvation... in any event, if they were to go forward with this trilogy, I hope that they end it with the victory over the machines...
ReplyDeleteI want it to continue from after the events of Terminator Salvation too. I want to see how the war is won, cause John Connor must defeat the machines.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's a continuation off Terminator Salvation to show us the entirety of the war. Curious how Arnold will fit into it all considering how much he has aged, but am excited about that nonetheless. And hopefully, if its all the war, we get Christian Bale back as John Connor.

ReplyDeleteWell since it starts shooting in January, I'm sure they're working out the plot right now. Magnutude's comment is one of the rumored plots for the movie, though nothing is concrete yet. Just have to wait and see.

ReplyDeleteActually reports are stating that Terminator 5 will take place in the 40's and 50's where they will focus on Sarah's parents. Arnold confirmed to be the terminator, I hate to say this but looks like Arnold will be sent back even further to save her parents lol but this literally unwritten's the history of the past four movies!!

ReplyDeleteI don't like that idea about going further in the past. Arnold could still play the Terminator in the future since John Connor in the future still has yet to find a way to turn a Terminator to his side and send him back in time to save him as a kid (T2). It would be interesting to know how he did that. Then there is the rest of the war. And after he knows how to reprogram Terminators he could use some to help him win the war.

ReplyDeleteLike I said, one of the rumors. But in the one you just described it said that Arnold would play the human version that the machines base the T-800 skin off of as opposed to another Arnold-Terminator being sent back.

ReplyDeleteIf they do a reboot I doubt many Terminator fans would be very happy. I'd think most would like to see the resolution to the original storyline. John Conner and his parents have always been focused on in the movies besides the machines of course.
I don't believe a reboot is the solution to the poor profit of Salvation.

They could go back to ancient times playing with that question "Why Sarah and John?". I don't know how many people would be interested if neither Sarah or John are in the movie, I know I won't likely be as interested.

ReplyDeleteYou cant judge till you see it lol im sure ppl would of liked it if they started with this lol then making the 1980 movie lol...either way we know john manages to reprogram the terminators but who's the villain managed to keep half of the evil terminators lol and i wanna see how john managed to sudue on termimator and reprogram him lol besides u gotta know alot bout computer programming amd we didnt see him take college courses in the third movie lol
