    I want to hate the cw, but it must have been a horrible pilot if they tried it twice and it still didn't work and they were forced to renew the walking flop that is the carrie diaries instead of going with this. I want to hate them and tell them they deserve what is coming to them, but truthfully, I have to believe the pilot sucked. Still very sad about this though

    It's a shame. I was so hoping to see Anthony Head back on my TV, again as an evil king, too.
    Also I thought the show had potential, I guess it didn't work.

    Gutted :( But they gave it a really good shot, I suppose some things are not meant to be. We will always have the books to love the story through anyway. :( I still wish they would either make it a web series or pick it up for a 13 episode series ala GOT/TWD.

    Well, you can't say The CW didn't try. After Reign was green-lighted I figured The Selection was toast (again).

    Renewed but most likely not a full season. The CW ordered 5 new series!
