    ive read 10 pages so far and it seems horrible! by horrible i mean nothing like the book and a lot like trying to copy a certain famous novel turned movie . The characters seem nothing like the book characters, quite the opposite i would say.

    The books were laughable, so don't bother following them. But a sexier Hunger Games by writers who watch too much GoT doesn't appeal to me either.

    No wonder it failed to get to series, awful. The book wasnt particularly good either. CW made a good choice to not bother with this.

    That was fairly terrible. Other commenters are correct, it really comes across as "The Sexy Throne Games" mash up. I'd actually like to see how it turned out on screen though. Any pilot that has a sex scene in the 1st scene gets an eye role from me, not because I don't like sex scenes, but because it's such a lame way of gettting attention. I've read the books and a truer version doesn't appeal either. I think the "contest" is such a fluffy premise its hard to take seriously as a concept.

    i read the first one when it came out, and it was quite fun to read. its a cute love story for teens. although i haven't got around to reading the next one.
    and i still haven't read the rest of the script, i have a crazy assignment deadline for tomorrow. so will read the whole thing tomorrow evening

    I for one, didn't hate the book, which is probably the reason why I deslike (what little I've read of this script) it so much. I had incredibly low expectations for the novel, so when I read it I actually lked it (obviously my expectations were almost non existant), and this is so far from the novel, I mean they only took the concept.
    Oh well, I never thought it was going to get picked up in the first place, so...

    i love love love love love this version. it's gritty and sex filled and a lot less innocent than the books which makes it a whole lot more interesting but i think i'm the only one that thinks that way

    I think the CW should try and air the pilot anyway (maybe promoting it as a movie or something) and see what happens before moving away from a pilot that costed them so much.

    This was the most horrible thing ever Aspen is stupid America is a crying baby there are weird characters Lucy is a tramp Maxon is a douche bag AND THE ENTIRE DAMN PLOT IS CHAOS NO FREAKING WONDER IT GOT DROPPED THANK THE LORD it wouldn't have worked anyone ans of the book (like me) would have rioted and the tv show would have gotten shot to hell and the writers would have had hell to pay not to mention the fact THAT THESE CHARACTERS ARE THE POLAR OPPOSITE OF THE BOOK AND IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO AN ADAPTATION THEY NEED TO BE AT LEAST SIMILAR in the books America is nice but a badass who says like it is Maxon is PERFECTION KIND SWEET MEEK HUMBLE GENEROUS GORGEOUS A GENTLEMAN AND ACTUALLY CARES Aspen is retarded but a pretty decent guy Lucy is a cry baby the Queen is soft spoken Celeste is an even bigger bitch AND WHERE THE HELL DID ALL THESE OTHER CHARACTERS COME FROM!?!??!     ok i hate to be bitter but im a 13 year old girl and just got done reading the selection seise and you should keep the same as they wrote it lucy ends up with aspen any was and if you had the time i would be great full if you tride it agin an didn't make maxon such a dirty man that is discusting!!!!! did you not read the books !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! uggghhh people

    Nothing like the book!!! I don't really like it. It's awful. And Maxon is a totally asshole. And America is more stupid than in the book. I'm very very disappointment . And Maxon and Lucy? WTF?!?! That never happen!!! Maxon is totally sweet in the book, before America, he didn't kiss another girl even. And now, for nothing is like Christian Grey? I HATE IT. I'm sooooo angry right now!! I wanna kill somebody . -_-
